Chapter Nine: Up In The Mountains

Saori took out her tablet and connected to the quarters.

"well well well look who's here, I was about to think you won't make it."Said Bradley "First you need to locate the airdrop which will be required for this mission. You will then need to get to the weather station, to which the directions will be shown on your mini-map section on your tablet. In front of the weather station is a lab you need to retrieve the briefcase from there. If you mess this up then your head is on the line" added Bradley

"yeah, we didn't come all this way to screw up"Flenn snapped back at him.

With stealth, the three protagonists approached their enemies, using the snow-covered terrain to their advantage. On the way they retrieved the airdrop, Bradley was talking about. The airdrop contained a wireless drill that was fully charged and could easily demolish door hinges and padlocks. As they closed in, Flenn asked Niki and Saori to take out their knives.

Silent as shadows, they initiated their assault. Niki, her dark hair hidden beneath a beanie, charged at the nearest enemy, her knife slicing through the air with precision. The enemy's eyes widened in shock as he fell to the ground, defeated. Saori, her red hair a fiery contrast against the snow, moved swiftly, sidestepping an opponent's attack before retaliating with a swift strike to the throat.

Meanwhile, Flenn who had gripped the Glock pistol tightly, his hands steady. He took cover behind a snowbank, assessing the situation before taking aim. His finger squeezed the trigger, sending a bullet whizzing through the air, finding its mark with deadly accuracy. The enemy forces began to falter, their confidence shaken by the trio's relentless assault.

As the battle raged on, the snowy tundra turned crimson with the spilled blood of their enemies. The intense cold did nothing to dampen the protagonists' determination. They fought with a ferocity born of desperation and a shared sense of purpose.

Niki spun and dodged, her knife a blur of grace as she disarmed her opponents one by one. Saori's movements were fluid and calculated, her blade striking like a viper, leaving a trail of beheaded enemies. Flenn, though young, proved his strength, firing round after round with uncanny accuracy, his shots finding their targets with deadly precision.

As the enemy numbers fell, the protagonists pressed forward, inching closer to the fortified building. The wind whipped their faces, stinging their exposed skin, but they pressed on, their determination unwavering.

Finally, with a final surge of adrenaline, they breached the entrance of the building, their knives, and pistol at the ready. Inside, the dimly lit corridors echoed with their footsteps as they navigated the halls, their senses heightened.

Room by room, they searched for the vault that contained the coveted nuclear codes. Their hearts pounded in their chests as they came face to face with the final obstacle—the last line of defense guarding the vault door.

The enemy, outnumbered and outmatched, put up a valiant fight. Yet the skills and determination of the three protagonists proved to be unstoppable. The room filled with the clash of steel and the deafening roar of gunfire. The enemies fell one by one, their resistance futile.

At long last, the protagonists stood before the vault door, its cold steel a testament to the danger that lay within. Saori, her hands trembling with a mixture of exhaustion and anticipation, used the drill to bust into the vault to acquire the codes they had fought so hard to acquire. The door creaked open, revealing a secure chamber, with the briefcase. They opened the briefcase but to their horror, there were no codes. Just some Computer chips.
