Chapter 8

1:34am.

Crashing back at Jake's place, the crew came back injured. The good news was that nothing was broken. Unfortunately, tons of bruised were shown and they were unable to cover some of them. The pain was outmatched by fatigue for the most part. The group of teens crashed easily that night. With the exception of two, the team was sound asleep. The incognito affect wore off by the time the heroine reached the house. She climbed on the side of it and hopped back on the balcony. Choosing to not join the others, the young girl returned to the original place she was before they were called. And looking back a bit behind her, a half smile made it to her face as she was aware she was not alone.

The two teens remained in their spots until morning. The sunrise peeked over the city. It was peaceful. Checking the time, the red ranger saw that it was precisely 6:07am. He walked away from the teenage girl to start his routine. It was a basic and easy routine. Brush his teeth, shower, eat, then train. As for right now however, he decided to hold off on breakfast. He hopped out of the shower as quickly as he got in. His arms stretched out and he let out a yawn.
As he went to go change into clean clothes, a person slipped by him. Turning around, the leader of the team saw that it was his night time buddy. She entered the bathroom and closed the door. Feeling a bit mischievous, the red ranger walked backwards until he reached the lavatory door. The sink was running, which had to have meant she was brushing her teeth. The lone wolf put his hand on the knob. After a few more minutes of the water flowing, the noise stopped. The redhead tried to get out of the bathroom to grab her towel. That didn't happen since the knob was jammed.

"Jake let go." Savannah called, "I gotta wash."

"Well if you wanna wash, you need to get past me." Troy counteracted.

The female warrior raised an eyebrow, her voice growing an edge, "Let go."

"Why don't I just go get your towel and you get undressed?" Troy asked, "let me be generous."

"You're generous and I'm grateful." Savannah spoke sarcastically, "Now let me go get my stuff."

"Alright," Troy allowed as he let go of the knob, "Go ahead."

Stepping out, his companion shut the door. She turned and faced him, glancing up and down at his bod.

"Least you weren't annoying," Savannah stated, "Otherwise it'd get ugly."

"Yeah, I would probably get a beating wouldn't I?" Troy guessed.

"If it was that bad." Savannah counteracted as she turned around. Before she was out of sight, she turned her head slightly, "And put on a shirt, your body is distracting."

The aloof team member looked down at his toned abs for a brief moment before he raised his head back up. His left eyebrow was lifted as a small smile formed on his lips. That feeling came back, but for his own personal reasons, he tried to hold it back. It failed, like he once did previously when it occured. The red ranger walked to go get his bag and change.

Not needing any sleep, the villainous creep soared his way back into space. From every star he passed to every planet he took a glance at, his main goal was to check on his world. His army was busy preparing for any means necessary. With them being under harsh rule, it was no wonder these guys weren't taken lightly. It took the man a few minutes before he could see his planet. Flying fast towards it, he sent out a signal to notify his crew about him arriving. It less than thirty seconds, his feet landed on the ground.

"Oh a home so relaxing can cause massive destruction." Kent spoke aloud, "Weird yet unexpected, I like it."

"Sir!" A guy called. Slightly looking to his left, the alien assassin realized that one of his guards were approaching him, "I got what you wanted." the guard informed as he pulled out sheets of paper, "The history of every lengendary Ranger. All of their powers, weapons, tools, and past foes. It took me weeks, but I got as much as I could find."

Looking down at the evidence presented in front of him, the leader snatched the booklet out of the guard's hands. He flipped through it pretty fast, seeing how much was exactly there. Nodding, it was clear it was enough for him. He shut it abruptly, facing back at his worker in satisfaction.

"Do you realize what you just did?" Kent asked.

"Uncovered tons of info that can not only help you against the Rangers but take out anything and everything you want?" The guard questioned.

Sighing, his boss clamped his hand on his shoulder, "You just gave me all the info that will render every hero powerless."

Waking up slowly, the yellow ranger stretched out her arms. Her eyes went around the room and eventually landed on her roommate. She was quietly resting without snoring once. Smiling, the teenage blonde removed the sheets from her body and stood up. From there, she could stretch out her entire body. It took a good minute to do just that. Her feet dragged a little as she left the room.
The perfectionist headed to the bathroom to start her routine. Upon reaching the door, she had her hand on the knob. Inside however, someone was already preoccupying the space. Her shower was done and over with. She was just putting on her clothes. Her underclothes were on and next came her shorts. The twisting knob made her eyebrow go up as she allowed whoever was trying to come in go in.

"Oh snap!" Gia semi-yelled, "Girl you nearly gave me a heart attack."

"Morning Gia." Savannah greeted as she flipped her jean shorts to the correct side, "And yes I tend to do that."

"Well don't make it a habit." Gia replied, "It could've been one of the guys."

"So? All guys naturally have a pervey side, as do women, so it's not like they won't be turned on," Savannah told her while flashing a small, sexy smirk, "And even if they tried anything, they should be aware that I have a foot and I can kick where I please."

"I have to remember that." Gia noted.

Vanni slipped the rest of her clothing on and grabbed her stuff. Exiting the bathroom, her new friend took over. The water went on, which made the redhead assume she was brushing her teeth. Grabbing her bag, the teenage girl placed her items inside. Her phone was placed back into her pocket. She was gearing up to leave. But as soon as she even tried,

"Leaving without a goodbye?" That certainly was not the voice she was expecting. Not stopping what she was doing, the young lady continued to place whatever she had back into her carrier.

"I stayed the night, what else is there to do?" Vanni asked the ranger.

Noah shrugged, "Well, there's this thing called breakfast. It's most important meal of the day. You should consider it."

"Not really all that hungry at the moment." Savannah responded as she put her extra blanket inside. Zipping up the bag, she closed everything up, "So, when did you get up?"

"I heard the shower and I sprung up. I'm a light sleeper." Noah explained, "You know Jake has more than one bathroom?"

Vanni turned her head slightly, "Yeah but, then it wouldn't be that much fun."

Noah gave her a questioning look, but let it go with a shrug, "Should I tell Jake you headed out?"

"Yes." Savannah answered back as she slung her bag over her shoulder, "Make sure you guys take care of those brusies and tell Jake he sucks at racing games."

"I've been trying to for years, never worked. Maybe he'll get it in 2045." Noah stated in a joking manner, to which Savannah only nodded.

Giving a short sigh, the female warrior gave the blue ranger a simple, "Goodbye", and left the room.

He watched her go. His eyes went to the floor as he nodded lightly and then headed for the kitchen. The redhead was already down the stairs. She adjusted the position of her bag as she carried it out the door. Closing it behind her, the young girl left the Holling household to return to her place. It was pretty far from there, so she had lots of walking to do.
Going down the streets of Harwood, she passed by various buildings and stores. Most weren't open since it was still early. And unfortunately, some were destroyed by the mayhem that occured the other night. Shaking her head, she continued walking on the sidewalk. Her brain went to work on thinking of some ways to help. Since where she works is successful on all fronts, maybe they could help the city. They were in town for a reason, this could be it. With that it mind, Savannah picked up the pace and headed for Rivers' Foundation.
