Chapter 4

Upon leaving from that battle, the alien terrorist was walking in the woods. His eyes went from tree to tree, on alert in case someone followed him. The air hit his face calmly. He was not certain, but for some reason he was tempted to deem this part of the planet untouchable. That would be difficult to do when war would be upon everyone soon. So his best bet was to possibly recreate such a place after all is said and done.
Where he was headed was towards a training ground. He had spotted it the first time he arrived to this populated sphere in space. It wasn't just something he just stumbled upon though. He was busy observing some creatures. They took up the place and came there at least once a month. Only one of them in particular came twice a week. You could take a guess as to which person would allow his or her self to come to this part of the woods continuously.
Reaching his destination, the young fellow had wasted no time in using his abilities. Looking down at the palm of his hand, he summoned a life threatening defensive weapon. Glancing around the area, he made a target out of a tall, strong tree. His other hand became preoccupied with another useful item. It was the same as the tool in his left palm, like a twin. Aiming at the center of the trunk, the new threat in town began to utilize his gear. And the tree was not the only thing to be hit.
After taking a few shots, the enemy flipped over the log that was propped up by two hard pieces of woods in the middle of the training ground. He blasted once more, sending a loud noise through the woods. His eyes quickly darted to a nearby row of vines. With the speed of a panther, he threw his two twin guns to the ground and drew out his sword. He sliced, diced, slashed, and stabbed each plant violently as if it was an actual animal or mammal. It took only seconds for this to occur, which provided him with extra time. Stabbing his blade into the ground, nature filled his ears and annoyed him deeply.
Birds were soaring across the sky. Migrating back from their mini vacation since the weather has transitioned from winter to spring to summer. Settling in and arriving back was part of their protocol. A protocol that came at the wrong time. Pointing at the flying pests, the skilled assassin shot bullets into air. He watched as they dropped like skydivers. Some made noise at the hit, which made the man chuckle. Once he had enough fun with them, he went back to his routine.
Pulling his saber out of the dirt, his senses tingled. His ear twitched. His eyes traveled slowly from each corner of the space. A twig snapped. Footsteps were heard. He swiftly turned around and saw somebody's shadow. That somebody was mumbling to his or her self. Quietly keeping himself out of sight, the alien decided to make this worth his while and let this person further endanger their safety.

"How in the world am I supposed to find the emerald lactosa?" The human wondered. The face was twisted at trying to enunciate the name, "What kind of flower is even named that?"

Staying on the trail, the mammal used their compass to make sure they were going in the right direction.

"K, so it should be near the bush at Welder's field." She said aloud, "I wish I had powers so I could just teleport there."

"It's not like you'll make it there anyway, might as well attempt to save your own life." Choosing this moment to make an appearance, the attractive, yet cold hearted warrior approached the young female.

She whipped her head around and became frightened. Her eyes looked up and down at him, questioning, "Who in the world are you?

"The last person you'll see before you enter Heaven, and that's if you're lucky enough." The man responded sinisterly.

Not backing down, the girl grabbed a log and swung at the guy. He fizzled away, which confused her. Lurking from behind, her opponent picked her up. Dangling from his grip, she tried to get down. He smirked a little. That is when the female used her legs and swung, which helped her backflip into the air and land back on the ground.

"Huh, very impressive." Kent complimented.

A punch was aimed for his face. He caught it and bended her arm backwards. Using her legs again, his opponent kicked his stomach and twisted him into a headlock. She dragged him to a tree while carrying her log in the process. She let him go and had the item to his neck.

"Tell me who you are." She demanded, "Or your headed to a nice place that has bars and a padlock."

Chuckling amusingly at her fierceness, he looked at the young lady with a creepy smile.

"Though I do admire your strength, courage, and determination, I have my own problems to deal with." Kent told her.

Having a weapon behind his back, the cruel fighter took a shot at the teenage girl. The outcome was not good for her, with the sight being shocking and sickening. A combination in which had the alien satisfied. Her body dropped to the floor, lifeless and pale. Returning to his feet, the man walked over to his fallen victim. He crouched down and tilted his head. Leaking out from the side of the female's stomach was a red substance. The warrior touched it, letting it drip down his fingers. Gazing at her neck, he wiped the liquid on it. He stood back up and started walking away. His tool still had smoke coming from it thanks to the fresh bullet that was used. This is what was looked upon as a successful training session.

"Guys!" The four rangers turned back to see that their other teammates were joining them. Emma asks, "Are you both okay?"

"Yeah." Jake reassured her, "We just had a run in with some creep."

"You did?" Noah questioned.

"Yup," Jake replied, "He's back."

The group glanced at one another, understanding what that meant.

"What is Kent doing here?" Gia inquired.

"We don't know." Troy responded, "We found him at an empty lot."

"Yeah, Savannah was holding him off though." Jake added.

"Savannah?!" The team simultaneously posed in shock.

The silver ranger then made a confused face, "Who?"

"Someone we know." Gia told him before questioning, "Why was she there?"

Realizing they are still in an open area, the blue ranger pointed to the plaza. The gang ran inside and stood in place.

"Hold on." Noah stopped them.

Looking around, he made sure no one was around. His thumbs went up, giving the all clear. That is when all of the teens demorphed and return to their normal fashion.

"Ok." Gia went on to continue, "Why was Savannah there?"

"We don't know, we just heard a noise and went to check it out." Jake retorted.

"Do you think she knows him?" Emma wondered.

"Possibly." Orion answered back, "But how could she know him?"

The red ranger bit his lip at the question. He had put some of the pieces together in his head only moments ago before he and his friend left to catch the others. It was fair for him to assume that he had the correct answer, but then again it would be false. The leader felt it was better to just keep quiet about it until he was sure.

"Well she was there for some reason." Gia said, "Most people would've ran away to hide."

"She kicked butt." Jake mentioned, "I mean Kent had his hands full."

"So she can easily beat him?" Emma inquired.

"I didn't say she won." Jake responded.

"She has to be very powerful if she almost had him on the first go." Noah had a point.

"We need to talk to Savannah about this." Orion decided.

The group nodded and was about to go find her until their leader shouted, "wait!" The five of them turned around, "if we ask her about this, she'll wonder how we know what she did and that we're Rangers. It's not like we can say we had a helicopter in the air to stalk her."

"You're right." Noah agreed, "It'll be too suspicious."

A light bulb went off in his best friend's head, "Then we ask her questions about herself so we can figure out who she is."

"That's not a bad idea." Gia backed him up, "But we can't be too obvious."

"Guys I don't know if that'll work." Troy doubted a bit.

"Dude come on." Jake replied, "If we just word it right and sound convincing, it'll be a piece of cake." He took a moment to pause, "Yo, that sounds really good right now."

His girlfriend rolled her eyes and gestured him to follow. The main five exited the plaza. Sighing, the lone wolf shoved his hands in his pockets and came along. He was hesitant about all of this, but as long as it's not too conspicuous, maybe they will gain some valuable knowledge.
