Chapter 2
First period felt like the longest compared to most classes. Noah was busy taking notes. Though it was not time for the finals, a huge test resembled it for this class. The straight A male student wanted to be prepared. Lots of other students felt the same. Mr. Rodriguez was writing all the information down on the board. And while three fourths of the class were copying, the soccer-loving teen taking pieces of paper and crumbling them up. His buddy Jeremy, who was beside him, chucked it at people from the back of the class.
"Watch this." Jeremy said.
He threw a paper ball at the brunette girl sitting in the front. She turned around and glared at him. It was the fifth time he had done that.
"Eh heh, hey you should've known he was gonna do that again Bridget." Jake commented with a chuckle.
The brunette shot him a fake smile.
"You're dead, JJ." Bridget responded.
Jeremy smirked and cooed, "Aww, well only if it makes you feel better. Come on baby, hurt me."
Bridget disgustedly stared at him before turning back around.
"Bro she doesn't like you." Jake told him, "Don't even bother."
"That's what I said about you and Gia," Jeremy replied, "and looked what happened."
"Yeah but you're not even her friend." Jake compared it, "You just annoy her."
"Yeah because she can't stand that she has an undying love for me. Can you Bridget?" Jeremy teasingly questioned.
The response was her holding up a note. A note with some not so nice choice of words on them either. Jake read it and laughed uncontrollably. Jeremy's mouth was to the floor.
"Yeah, you guys are endgame." The black T-shirt wearing kid joked.
His soccer bud gave him a look. The comical teen picked up a paper ball and played with it. His eyes wandered until they fell on a friend of his. He was messing around on his phone. Grinning, the green ranger whispered, "Yo Troy."
The leader looked up from his device, "Wha-"
The paper met his face. The target's eyes were closed as the soccer jocks snickered.
"Nice!" Jeremy cheered.
Nodding, the red ranger glanced at the teacher, who flipped to the next pages on notes. Quietly, the stood up and walked over to the shelf. There, he grabbed eight pieces of construction paper. He closed the cabinet door and sat back down. A mischievous look appeared on his face. His hands took one piece of the construction paper and crumbled it up. Jeremy was talking with Jake and Scott. The sound of paper being tampered with caught his attention. His eyes widened as he saw that the new kid was peering over at him with huge paper balls ready to go.
"Crap..." Jeremy reacted.
The silly hero, along with his other teammate, turned around. Before they could say anything, they were pelted with paper. Some people heard and saw the commotion, laughing.
"Dude!" Jake reacted as he was being hit, "You're so dead."
The lone wolf threw a ball up and down constantly in his hand mockingly. Needing some ammo, the guys in the back row got their hands on some paper and started to throw it. The red ranger dodged most of them, but a few did get him. The nerdy school boy looked back to see his friends goofing around.
"You guys!" Noah whispered loudly, "We're supposed to be taking notes. You can't just-"
That's when a ball accidentally hit him in the face. One of the guys bit his lip.
"My bad bro." He apologized.
The highly intelligent male student chuckled a little before picking up one of the balls that had landed on the floor. He chucked it at Jeremy, who was surprised.
"Oh this is gonna be fun." He stated.
It became an all out war of paper as the entire class took part in it. Some of the boys were cornered by the girls until they were targeted as well. It got intense when someone pulled out the poster sized paper. That's when the newbie decided to take a break. He sat down in his seat and went back on his phone. And in the same moment, the teacher turned around and saw that the students were acting up. He cleared his throat, which made everyone stop.
"How did he just realize we were doing this?" Scott wondered.
A few kids shrugged.
"You guys know you'll be cleaning this up right?" The teacher asked.
The students glanced at one another.
"That's fair." One girl agreed.
"Wait all of us? Can't he just clean it up?" Jeremy inquired while pointing at Troy.
"He didn't do anything." The teacher retorted.
The soccer kids', along with the two other heroes, mouths dropped open as the mysterious teen gave an innocent look. The blue ranger teammate gave him a stare and shook his head. The leader's face formed into a smile as a sudden noise echoed in the room. It went off a few times. The Ranger boys grew nervous, aware of what that was.
"We gotta go." Troy silently muttered to his friends.
"What is that?" Scott quizzed.
Thinking quickly, the sports loving guy spoke up, "My phone, it's probably being stupid again." The black/green hero pretended to check his device and fibbed, "Yup, ringtone goes off even when my phone isn't on."
The leader of the team glanced at Noah, who nodded.
"Can I go to B011? Ms. Larson needs her book back." Noah lied.
Rodriguez allowed it as the blue ranger proceeded to leave, with his friends were right behind him. That is, until the teacher called out, "Hold it! All three of you aren't Noah."
"I have a book too." Troy instantly replied.
"And I don't feel like being here." Jake added.
His best bud smacked his arm, "That's not an excuse."
His pal shrugged as he counteracted, "It's the truth."
Troy gave him an amused look while they all headed out. In the empty school hallway, the girls were waiting for them. The sound of running footsteps reached their ears, making the two turn around.
"About time, Orion said they're right behind City Hall." Gia informed the guys, "He's been fighting them off."
"But he said there's not that many." Emma mentioned, "He thinks something weird is going on."
"Okay, then let's go," Troy ordered, "if there's barely any soldiers, something's up."
"Why would there be soldiers at all?" Noah began to ask, "We got rid of them three weeks ago."
The gang registered that question into their brains. That was a good point. If all of the robotic slaves of Prince Vekar were destroyed and disposed of, why were there any left? It didn't make sense. Unless...
"We need to go now!" Jake said, worry rising in his tone.
It was clear that this could be a trap. Moving at a fast pace, the team headed out to help and protect their friend.

Parking her vehicle, the redhead stepped out of the car. She locked it up and began to walk inside her school. Hand hand grasped the door handle. Opening up the entrance, the blue eyed individual walked down the hallway. A few whistles were heard, making the young female sigh in annoyance. She reached her locker and plugged in the combination. Her stuff was already in there, so she had it pretty easy.
"Hey sexy thang!" A voice shouted.
The beautiful teenager closed her eyes and bit her lip.
"Your fine self should be sittin in the front seat of my Cadillac." another voice chimed in, "And I'll make sure to put some miles on it."
Reopening her eyes and choosing to ignore the inappropriate comments, some of which were not even that good, the wealthy redhead got out her books out and closed her locker. A few minutes of walking took place before people were screaming their heads off. A group of people ran past the teen. She headed in the opposite direction in attempt to find where all of the commotion was coming from. Her dark blue, heeled stilettos stopped moving when the sight of a familiar face came into view. He made eye contact with her. Bodies were laying on the ground. Some seemed lifeless while others were only paralyzed.
"Of all places to be, you chose to be on Earth?" The threat asked.
"It's either here or reveal where my people are." Savannah answered back, "No way am I letting you in on that."
Her opponent chuckled, "I wouldn't expect that out of you, you hate things being too easy."
His knuckles were being cracked as the redhead threw her supplies to the side.
"Eh, I'm actually done here." the guy continued, "You know how boring it gets when you only hit one part of a city."
The brave teenage girl only glared at him, "Fine, let's leave. And I'll make sure to give you chaos."
The villain smiled, "You always do."
