Hey everyone! 

I just wanted to give ya'll an update since I haven't really updated this book in the last 2 years. 

So to make a long story short, I was slowly losing motivation to work on this story, and it sucks because I am IN LOVE with Drift and his character and story. Another factor on why I fell out on updating this story was because in the summer of 2017, that's when I joined the Overwatch fandom and got trapped in the Overwatch trenches and solely focused on working on Watch Over Me. 

Around that time I kinda took a bit of a break from writing in the Transformers fandom in general just because I became SO INVESTED in the Overwatch lore and story (despite how slow as molasses we get it ^^")

Another factor that adds on to the hiatus was during that same year I was starting my 3 year college program so working on homework and assignments obviously became the bigger priority then writing. If I'm not mistaken, I took time to write each chapter I've written thus far and then waited until November of 2017 to publish all of them almost at once and then just dropped it. During that time, finals were coming up for the fall semester before winter break so it was major crunch time. 

And finally the final reason there was a hiatus was source material. As some of you hard core fans of this trilogy may know, this series was centered around the Transformers IDW comics universe, and by the end of Code of Honour, took place during the events of MTMTE, until the ending of Code of Loyalty, ended at MTMTE issue #18 (technically speaking because as Hina was unconscious and captured aboard Lockdown's ship, the remainder of the Remain In Light saga took place outside of the fic before the Lost Crew went to rescue her). 

Starting Code of Unity, I went on a different narrative path. Temporarily steering away from the MTMTE story. I had tweaked it so that The Lost Light temporarily found their way back to Cybertron to refuel before resuming their search for the Knights, and Hina decided to remain on Cybertron, staying with Optimus and Elita to recover after her encounter with Lockdown. Ratchet arrives later and informs Hina that he's located Drift and asks her to help him find her, and with that, the story then blends in and takes place during Drift's second mini series, Empire of Stone. 

That's the current focus of the fic right now. I do plan on returning to MTMTE so we will see the Lost Light crew again, but not for a while. 

Because my fic is centered around the comics, I needed to keep them with me as a resource/reference while I worked. I had some hard copies of the comics, but not all the issues of the series. Majority I had on a mobile app where I bought most of the comics but sadly the app is now discontinued and as such I've lost all my comics. I was devastated. I had thought about looking them up online, but after a while, I didn't feel comfortable reading online pdf versions of the comics that didn't come from any of the official sites or distributors. This was still a franchise that I loved and I wanted to support them genuinely so I decided not to use the online stuff, and because of that, I took a break from the series. 

But now that I have a hard copy of the complete series of all of Drift's comics and access to some of the issues of the final MTMTE comics, I can slowly get back into the swing of things, and I'm happy to announce I will resume working on updates for this book starting next week! :D

I'm done school so I have way more time to write now, but update times will vary as I am also working a part time job. 

I'm so excited to continue writing and properly finish the series like I wanted to do a long while ago. Drift is one of my favourite Transformers characters in the entire franchise, I just adore him, and I'm so happy to be writing with him again.
