Gray's POV:

It was the morning of the second round matches. I was peacefully sleeping... until I got a face full of fire. "What the hell Natsu!?" "Payback for yesterday!" I gave him a rather pathetic glare before I got up to get ready for the day. Natsu said, "Ya' might want to hurry up. My fight with metal head is in a few minutes." I hurried up and finished getting ready in a few minutes.

We left our tent, just as Gajeel was walking by. "Gihi. I thought you were sleeping in 'cause you were too scared to fight Salamander. Good to see I can beat you into the ground today." Natsu was unfazed by what Gajeel said. "Hey! Did you hear what I said. You're going to lose." Natsu sighed and said, "I don't have a reason to get upset over nonsense coming from the mouth of an idiot." We walked away after that.

We got to the 'arena' and saw everyone minus Gajeel was already there. When he finally showed up, we were able to begin. Gramps cleared his throat and said, "Good morning brats! We will now start the second round matches of this year's S-Class promotion trials. The first match will be between Natsu and Gajeel. The second match will be Gray vs Freed."

Guildarts, Natsu, and Gajeel went down to the 'arena', Gajeel on the left, Natsu on the right. Guildarts began saying the same stuff as yesterday. When he finished, Gajeel got into his stance and Natsu, well, he didn't. He was standing with his arms crossed, slightly staring off into space. Gajeel yelled, "Aye Salamander! This is a fight, so get ready. Otherwise you're gonna lose!" Natsu looked at Gajeel and said, "I'll be fine. You should be worrying about yourself. Now, if you're done talking, lets get this over with." Gajeel, didn't look to happy after Natsu said this. A scowl formed on his face and he glared at Natsu.

Guildarts then said, "Ready. Set. Fight!" Gajeel ran at Natsu, his arm turning to metal. "Iron Dragon's Club!" Natsu dodged the attack and kicked Gajeel in the stomach. Gajeel stumbled back a bit, but regained his balance quickly. However, he wasn't quick enough. Natsu was already behind him. He threw a punch at Gajeel's back, right between his shoulder blades. This caused the iron dragon slayer to fall forward. Once again he regained his balance.

He looked at Natsu and yelled, "Oi! Use your magic! You won't beat me with just physical attacks!" Natsu said, "And if I don't?" This caused Gajeel to become visibly agitated. "It will just be that much easier to beat you!" Natsu sighed, but granted the metal head's wish. He covered his fist in flames and said, "You wanted me to use my magic, well here you go. Welcome to your defeat."

Natsu ran at Gajeel with the flaming fist and punched him in the stomach. Gajeel was sent flying into the wall under us. We had to jump back since the ground beneath us began the crack from the impact. No one could see Gajeel due to all the dust caused by the collision.

Natsu was standing in front of the wall, looking at the Gajeel-sized dent in the wall. When the dust cleared, an unconscious Gajeel was seen laying against he wall. Guildarts said, "Gajeel is unable to continue, so Natsu is the winner and will move on to the finals!"

Natsu threw Gajeel over his shoulder and climbed out of the 'arena'. He dropped Gajeel at the medical tent before joining back up with the rest of the group. "Nice going Flame-Brain, You almost made us fall. You should really watch where you're punching things you know?" He slightly glared at me and said, "What was that Ice Princess? Last time I check I didn't make you guys fall."

We began arguing over Natsu being more careful, but stopped when we realized how pointless it was. When we stopped we started laughing and some of our guild mates looked at us like we were crazy. Erza walked up to us and said, "Good to see you two can solve your own arguments now. Now you can avoid getting many headaches." Natsu and I continued laughing.

Gramps then said, "We will go ahead and commence to second match if both fighters are ready." Freed and I nodded our heads and went down to the arena along with Laxus.

Natsu's POV:

I watched as Gray, Freed, and Laxus went down to the hole we used as the arena. He said the same boring rules speech as before. When he finished, Freed place his hand on his sword's hilt and prepared to attack Gray. Ice Princess on the other hand, was standing with one hand in his pocket. Neither competitor said a word.

The silence was broken when Cana yelled, "Gray! Your clothes!" He looked at himself, and then back at Cana. He yelled back, "I'll find my shirt later! I have a fight to win right now!" I looked over towards Juvia and she was blushing and covering her face.

After the little interruption, Laxus said, "Ready. Set. Start!" Freed ran at Gray and said, "Dark Ecriture: Destruction." He rapidly pulled out his sword and slashed at Gray, only for him to dodge. Freed attempted to hit Gray with this attack multiple times before stopping. He jumped back a little a said, "Dark Ecriture: Darkness." He inscribed runes onto himself and he took on a demonic appearance (the one he used while fighting Mira during battle of Fairy Tail).

After his transformation, he charged at Gray and release a barrage of physical attacks. Gray either dodged or blocked them all. After a few seconds of being on the defensive, Gray caught Freed's fist and kicked him in the side. Freed was sent tumbling to the ground. He got back up and began his attack once again. Gray once again dodged his attacks before attacking Freed.

Gray said, "Ice Make: Ice Bringer." Two ice swords formed in his hands and he swung them at Freed in an 'X' motion. The attack made contact and sent Freed flying towards the wall opposite of where Gajeel landed. A large dust cloud was made as a result of hitting the wall. When it cleared, Freed's transformation was gone and he was unconscious.

Laxus said, "Freed is unable to continue, so Gray is the winner and will be joining Natsu in the finals!" Gray looked up at me and said, "That's what you should have done Flame-Brains. Use the opposite wall your friends are on." "Shuddap!"

Gray carried Freed to the medical tent on his back. He dropped him off and joined the rest of us in front of Gramps. He said, "Since Gajeel and Freed are still unconscious, I will give the post-battle speech before dinner or whenever they wake up. You have the rest of the day off, so feel free to do as you wish." With that, we all broke off into a few groups and went to do our own thing.

Gray and I decided to head to the lake we were at yesterday, and it seems some of the other guys had the same idea. Lauxus, Bickslow, Guildarts, and Elfman were about to get in as we showed up. We talked for about 30 minutes before Elfman said, "How 'bout we play truth or dare, MANLY style?!" We all agreed to play and Elfman started us off.

"Laxus, truth or dare?" He almost immediately said dare. Elfman though for a moment, then said, "I dare you to act like Happy until dinner." "Aye sir!" I looked at Elfman and said, "Hey! That was going to be my dare!" Everyone laughed a little.

It was Laxus's turn to ask someone. "Gray truth or dare?" Gray thought from a moment and said "Dare." Laxus said, "I dare you to put a snake in one of the girl's tents tonight." "Are you serious!?" "Aye!" Gray frowned before saying. "Fine... but if I'm dead tomorrow I'm blaming you."

The game continued for a few hours. Some of the dares were to scare someone or to pull a prank on another guild member. The truths were questions like who you thought would win a fight between two people or if you could have any other magic what would it be.

It was Laxus's turn again and he looked a Gray and said, "Truth or dare Gray?" Gray hastily replied, "Dare." Laxus grinned and said, "I dare you to kiss Natsu." At the same time me and Gray yelled, "EEEEEHHHHHHHHHH? NO WAY!!" 'I mean sure we like each other, but we wanted to keep it a secret until... well... we don't know when. WE AREN'T GOING TO NOW THOUGH!'

None the less, he did the dare. It didn't say where, so he kissed me on the cheek. Laxus sighed and his grin turned into a frown. 'I bet he was hoping you'd do it on the lips. Then he could point out her never said where.' 'Yeah, but if I did that, he would probably know we were together.'

*Meanwhile*

Erza's POV:

Mira, Lucy, Cana, Juvia, Evergreen, Lisanna, Levy, and I decided to go to the beach and enjoy the rest of the day. We held sand sculpture contests, swimming races, and other contests. We also started betting. We were betting on what Natsu and Gray would do; Fight each other, or take on all four S-Class wizards present.

Cana said, "Ok ladies, what's your bet?" Evergreen was the first to bet. "Knowing those two they will want to fight each other to see who the strongest is. Especially if you think of how they've been since they were kids." Levy said, "I agree. Also, I don't think they would want the She Devil, Titania, Laxus, and the Ace of Fairy Tail attacking them all at once." Cana and the Strauss sibling agreed. So did Lucy and Juvia after hearing why the three girls agreed.

Now, it's my turn to bet. "I bet they take all four S-Class wizards on. Think about it, for one, they are always trying to beat us in fights. Two, they can fight each other whenever they want. Lastly, they just got back from a training journey, they probably want to test their strength in a stupid way." When I finished, Cana said, "Ok. May the best lady win."

*time skip to dinner*

Gray's POV:

While we were eating, Gramps stood on one of the tables and said, "Ok listen up. I want to congratulate Natsu and Gray on making it to the finals.I also want to applaud Freed and Gajeel for putting up a great fight. But it is now time for Gray and Natsu to decide what they will do from this point on."

All eyes were on Natsu and I. I said, "Tomorrow we will fight...

At the same time, everyone minus Gramps and Erza yelled, "Are you two insane!?" Natsu said "Nah. We just wanted to fight them. I don't see why your so shocked though." Bickslow said, "Maybe because you just challenged the S-Class wizards to a fight where you're out numbered 2 to 1" His babies repeated, "2 to 1. 2 to 1"

Gramps cleared his throat and said, "If that is what the brats wish to do, then they can." Erza said, "I agree. And ladies, pay up!" The girls yelled, "Damn it!" and gave the money to Erza. Natsu and I sweat dropped and said, "You guys seriously bet on what we'd do?" Erza nodded and said, "Yes. And I was the only one to think you wouldn't fight each other."

After all that, we continued dinner. When we finished, everyone, even those who weren't fighting, went to their tents to prepare for the fight to come.

It's been 11 days since I updated the book.... BUT I'M NOT DEAD!
