Imelda's P.O.V:

"Umm, Imelda! We have a package at our door!" Mama called to me.

I was confused, I never ordered a package.

"Who is it for mama?" I called back.

"It says your name on it Imelda. Did you order something?" Mama said, coming into my room bringing a wrapped box, or for short, a present.

I shook my head as a no, mama just sighed.

"Oh well, just open it." Mama said, going back into the kitchen and closing my bedroom door.

I carefully tore the wrapping open, and opened the box's lid. It revealed a dazzling pair of brown high heel boots. My face was amazed, yet curious who brought this for me. It was my dream gift ever since I saw it on display in the plaza when I was fourteen, now two years later and I'm sixteen, I got it!

"So Imelda, what did you get?" Mama asked me, coming into my room. I didn't reply because I was too shocked. But when mama looked at the boots, she just sighed happily and left my room again, closing the door, again.

I looked inside the box again, and I found a letter inside. I began to read.

Dear Imelda,

Hi! You might know me since you see me perform all the time in the plaza, and I'm your best friend too! Got the answer yet! Oh well, I'm Hector! I remember you told me you wished you had those dazzling pair of boots, two years ago when it was first put on display. I remember your eyes sparkling at it.

Now, with all the money I earned, I got it for you! You might be thinking, why couldn't I just use my money to buy my own stuff.. Well, you're special to me Imelda! So I hope you like them!

My face began to flush a deep red, luckily mama wasn't in the room. I ended up screaming into my pillow the rest of the day, and the night.

The next day I wore it, and Hector was so happy when he saw me wear it. I was confused on how he got my shoe size correct, but he said not to worry about it. I never thought my crush would get something for me.
