- Aftermath -

Voices were all they could hear, familiar voices, but no names. They were asleep, or at least their eyes were closed.

Their eyes opened, silver pools of stars, looking up at blue. The ceiling was blue, white streaks, cracks. The image was instantly filed away.

They stayed in the bed for a moment, breathing in the scent of smoke and crisp autumn air. Sunlight shone brightly through the windows, and they turned to their left. A house could be seen, almost hidden by trees and bushes just starting to turn red and die. The sound of a lawnmower could be heard, and cars passing. They knew where they were, suddenly. Sitting up, they saw the roof they had sat upon in the past. Well... someone had sat upon, at least. Someone who wore all blue.

At the foot of the bed was another window, showing the ground dropping away to reveal a small town masked by trees almost devoid of their leaves. The window was covered in green trim, with a purple curtain and a veil hanging from it; drastically unlike the orange theme from the other window.

Even by their legs was something. A cat, rich shades of brown, forcefully making a circle in the blankets. Ash recognized it, somewhat, mentally dubbing it Spook.

Finally, they looked at their own body. They were dressed in jeans and a simple black short sleeved shirt, a blue hoodie overtop. Written on their hand in Sharpie was a message, saying simply "Ash".

Ash.

The name was familiar, and it seemed fitting somehow.

The voices had stopped, and the door to their right opened quietly. A girl with tangled black hair stepped in, her glasses cracked but not shattered. Seeing them awake, she rushed over, "Ash!"

Ash blinked, not able to put a name on the newcomer. Dove? Robin? "Sparrow?"

The memories were there, filed instantly, and Sparrow wrapped her friend in a tight hug.

Ash smiled, not knowing everything, but knowing enough that they were safe finally.

We succeeded.
Indeed, we won.
What happened to Ciara?
She, and Drew, were destroyed.
I'm sorry I didn't trust you.
Do not worry, River. Now go... see your sister like Ash has seen theirs.
Of course, Medallion.
Will there be any damage?
By all calculations, they will have to regain their memory one step at a time. Once most of the puzzle is solved, the rest is simple.
We will assist with that. Our job is and always has been to hold Order within Ash's soul.
Stay safe, Medallion. You too, Artemis. I need to return to the void.
Thank you, Madd.
Where do we start?
Where we always start, Artemis. The beginning.
