Part 45: United at Last; Robby Keene

Dedicated to @AbbyWatson4, @NewYorkDoll, @ @CamrynKissel, @@Krystal1601, M_Mazariegos and @madi658 for their awesome feedback on my Cobra Kai stories :)

And a special thank you to one of my biggest Robby fans, @Robby2Keene for their constantly kind comments they leave on my work. It truly means a lot to me ❤

Robby raised his arms up to his chest, standing so close to Miguel that their shoulders were practically touching one another.

"I knew Sensei Silver would come after me as soon as I agreed to go with my dad to Mexico, but it was worth every second if that meant I could finally atone for some of my mistakes.

Even though I still have a long way to go," thought Robby, firmly as he stared across the platform at Terry, his gaze never wavering from the older man.

For the first time in over three months, he felt like some of the crushing pressure of his guilt was removed from his chest, leaving an odd sensation to linger in its wake. It was almost like a buzzing feeling that pulsated throughout his battered body, only serenity shining through the broken cracks of where his sins used to be.

Whatever consequences I have to face tonight, I'm ready. Because knowing that I'm trying to do the right thing, that's the important part.

"Don't worry, I'm sure your precious Senseis will be up here to save you in just a few minutes. But until then, why not have some fun, shall we?" Suggested Terry, an evil grin consuming his wrinkled face.

Robby and Miguel looked at one another, a mutual understanding forming between the two fighters.

If they were going to make it out of this confrontation alive, then they'd need to work together.

"We'll beat you, together," stated Miguel, holding his fists at the ready as he stood up straight next to Robby.

"That's what they all say, though no one's actually completed that task before," announced Terry, excitedly.

"Well, you haven't fought us yet," retorted Robby, determinedly.

His intimidating figure seemed to loom over the two fighters' heads, sending cold chills down their spines.

This is the fight of our lives.

Robby immediately jumped to the side as Terry frontal kicked where his head should've been. Miguel swiftly blocked the Sensei's hand before being struck in the side by his left foot. Looking at his former enemy from a friendly statepoint, Robby had to admit that Miguel had truly adopted the Miyagi-Do lessons fairly quickly.

Guess he was just more of a natural at it than I was.

Robby used Terry's temporary distraction to leap off the nearby wall and punch him straight in the face.

His already bruised knuckles burned with pain as his feet touched the ground once more.

"Nice try," sneered Terry, grabbing his opponent's hand and flipping him onto his back before releasing a flurry of hits to his stomach.

Something was different now within the room where they battled so fiercely against the Cobra Kai Sensei.

They weren't just teenagers settling their differences using "unconventional" outlets anymore. They were enemies of a man more powerful than either of them could have ever imagined. Never had Robby felt he was in more danger than facing off against the merciless man that stood before him, ready to kill for the singular thrill of winning.

"Looks like your Senseis taught you well," remarked Terry as he turned back to Miguel, pressing even harder against his constant blocks, slowly overpowering the young fighter.

"Never disrespect my Sensei," stated Miguel, gaining slightly more traction against Silver.

Terry spin-kicked Miguel roughly in the shoulder, a quiet crack ringing out as the attack landed.

I have to remember, we're in this together.

Robby quickly pushed himself back onto his worn feet, his head still ringing from the blows his enemy had previously dealt. He ran forward, propelling himself into a backflip before landing a mighty kick to the Sensei's lower back.

"Fighting two of us isn't so easy after all," commented Robby, his fists held back at the ready to block Terry's next attack.

"Haven't I taught you anything about deception, Mr. Keene?" Asked Terry, dangerously cocking his head.

Not even the most calculated of fighters could have expected the brutality of what came next.

Terry kicked both his legs outward, knocking his two opponents to the ground. Without warning, he unleashed a swarm of massive punches to Robby and Miguel's entire bodies, simultaneously pinning both teenagers to the ground. It was as if with each hit that the Sensei landed, he gained more momentum, more anger.

It was unrelenting pain coursing through Robby's body, red flashes filling his eyes as he reeled after every punch.

"I actually taught this tactic to one of my students recently, but unfortunately, you weren't there," shouted Terry, slamming his right fist down even harder against Robby's chest.

Miguel tried to throw his enemy's hand off of him in an attempt to stand back up, but was only met with a fist to the side of the face.

Robby's vision was getting blurrier with each second that ticked by, the pounding inside his head becoming more unbearable.

"This is what traitors get when they abandon Cobra Kai," declared Terry, slowly standing up as he looked down at his crippled enemies.

Robby wanted nothing more than to get up and show his Sensei that he wasn't just going to give in but his body wouldn't let him.

"I don't wanna die," thought Robby, throwing his head back against the ground, feeling the warm blood running down the side of his face.

The last thing Robby heard as his eyes slowly shut was the heavy footsteps of two people rushing up the stairs before everything disappeared into pitch darkness.
