"It's always nice to see old friends, right, Danny Boy!" laughed Terry, loudly as he watched Daniel suddenly tense up, releasing his firm hold on the Cobra Kai.
Terry knew how terrified Daniel used to be of Barnes during his years in the Valley. He'd been more powerful and intimidating than even Johnny and his high school friends were, especially during the 1985 tournament in which Barnes almost killed him with a single punch. Or at least, that's what Terry had tricked him into thinking would happen.
Though the cliff incident with Mr. Miyagi's tiny tree was quite exciting as well.
"Where'd you even find him?" Asked Daniel, in disbelief as he watched his old rival storming through the wide ballroom towards the injured Johnny.
He seemed rooted in place, unable to move his shaking limbs as a familiar fear overtook him.
"Ah, that truly is an interesting question, but I think it'd be best if I saved that one for Mr. Lawrence and his son to answer," responded Terry, his grin widening with each word.
Obliviating his confidence is surely one of the best ways to win a fight. Well, after taking away their ability to breathe, that is.
Chozen tapped Daniel on the shoulder, shaking him out of his anxiety-filled thoughts.
"You need to go help Sensei Lawrence, Daniel-San," stated Chozen, urgently.
"I don't know if I can. I barely beat Barnes last time and that was over two decades ago," admitted Daniel, looking skeptically at his fellow Sensei.
"Oh, and let's not forget how he wrestles for a living now, too," reminded Terry, clapping his hands together excitedly.
Oh, how the tides can change so easily if you add even the tiniest of pressure's to one side.
"You must fight for your family, Daniel-San, but most of all, for yourself," instructed Chozen, firmly.
Daniel closed his eyes and breathed a deep breath, his body slowly losing its tension as he felt his nearly numb legs regain balance.
"Thank you," smiled Daniel, nodding gratefully at Chozen before rushing off to help Johnny.
"You know, you really take the fun out of these things for me, right?" Remarked Terry, sarcastically before lunging back into combat with Chozen.
Terry's every punch (regardless of the strength behind them) was blocked by Chozen's expert counter-moves. It was as if the latter could anticipate his enemy's every move, already preparing for the incoming attack. As they fought, Terry's eyes glimpsed sight of the second floor.
It's time for me to try a new approach.
Terry swiftly ducked to the right, avoiding Chozen's front-kick with perfect precision. He decided to take on the defensive approach now, slowly leading his enemy towards the stairway as he blocked his attacks.
"Picked up a little Miyagi-Do myself back in the day," commented Terry, teasingly as his fist clashed against Chozen's, both men stumbling backwards slightly from the immense impact.
"You do not have the honor to say his name aloud," declared Chozen, his eyes narrowing as he kicked Terry in the chest roughly.
"Honor is far from what I associate with that old man. Yes, he had more than Danny Boy, but to be fair, that bar is very low," retorted Terry, tauntingly.
Chozen spin-kicked Terry, his foot flying towards his chest, only this time, Terry didn't attempt a block. He merely let his enemy's foot hit him before grabbing his ankle and flipping him onto the ground with as much force as he could manage.
Chozen pushed himself to his feet, a look of anger covering his face.
"You will not win this, Silver," declared Chozen, raising his fists up to his chest in determination.
"It's a little too late for that," smirked Terry, picking up a napkin holder from a nearby table and tossing it above Chozen's head.
And with a loud crash! The heavy hanging chandelier fell to the ground, crushing Chozen beneath it.
"Lights out," waved Terry before kicking him in the face, knocking his enemy unconscious.
Terry smiled proudly, the taste of blood still strong against his dry lips.
"Now, it's time to help Barnes finish off LaRusso and Lawrence," thought Terry as he walked towards the Senseis' ongoing brawl. Until his eyes shifted slightly upwards, falling upon Robby and Miguel.
But it looks like there's something a bit more interesting for me to deal with first.
