Part 37: Let The Games Begin; Chozen Toguchi
Dedicated to @AbbyWatson4, @Robby2Keene, @NewYorkDoll, and @LOVESTODOODLE for their fantastic feedback on my story :)
"I respect if Daniel-San's morals will not allow him to face Sensei Silver, but someone must do so before things become too dire to be handled," thought Chozen firmly as he looked across the room at the now-standing Terry.
He had heard mention of some cruel plan Terry was concocting earlier that day from a reliable source, one of which Daniel was not to be aware of until the given time was necessary. So, it was up to the Master Sensei to take control of the situation.
This shall be over very soon.
The Cobra Kai students took a few steps back, surprised by Chozen's sudden arrival.
"Guess they're not the only one who has back-up," muttered Johnny to himself, smirking.
"What is going on here?!" exclaimed Yasmine's mother, irritatedly as she stormed over to where the ruckus was currently taking place.
"Just a minor disagreement that won't happen again," reassured Amanda, gesturing for Daniel to deal with Chozen's brawl.
"Okay, I think that's enough," reasoned Daniel, gently grabbing Chozen by the upper arm.
Why must he make everything harder?
Chozen used his open hand to flip Daniel onto his back before once again facing off against his enemy.
"Dad, are you okay?" asked Sam as she and Miguel rushed over to his side.
Daniel nodded in response before pushing himself back to his feet.
"Please tell me this isn't going to turn into another school brawl?" pleaded Demetri quietly to Eli.
"Pretty sure neither of us can answer that yet," replied Eli, sighingly.
Chozen hadn't the slightest clue as to what they were speaking of, though he doubted that what was about to happen was going to be a similar situation.
"No, it's okay. If they want a fight, I'll give them a fight," laughed Terry, waving the concerned hosts of the party with slight pleasure.
"You did not allow the option of peace for my dojo so, fighting shall be the only way to regain our honor," stated Chozen, determinedly.
"Then, let the games begin," smiled Terry before charging Chozen.
Within seconds, chaos seemed to erupt from every corner of the room. Cobra Kais lunged and punched while the Miyagi-Fangs held strong defensive positions against their enemies.
Glass cups and fragile dishes crashed to the ground, shattering into tiny shards of their once-delicate predecessors. Several guests screamed as they hurried out of the ballroom, throwing their arms crazily above their heads in fear.
Despite the booming noises that rang throughout the large room, Chozen's mind never wavered from the battle at hand.
Noise is merely our environment's way of testing a man's skill.
Chozen easily dodged to the right, his feet remaining planted to the ground as Terry's fist missed its target.
"Finally, someone who's actually a challenge to beat," remarked Terry, his grin widening with each attack.
His skill was admirable due to its refined balance of both strength and mastery.
I share similar talents in both arts.
"I cannot say the same goes in return," retorted Chozen.
Terry's grin was quickly replaced by gritted teeth as he stared Chozen in the eyes, seethingly.
"Hopefully, your karate is better than your sarcasm because quite frankly, I'm not impressed," scoffed Terry, bitterness hanging in each syllable as he spoke so confidently.
Anger is most clearly his weakness.
"It seems like you've been affected enough," stated Chozen, unblinkingly.
Terry forcibly kicked a chair towards his enemy's chest, making him stumble backwards from the sudden impact of the skidding projectile.
"Don't think we're gonna let you have all the fun," declared Johnny as he and Daniel stood next to Chozen.
He nodded, gratefully at his fellow Senseis, particularly because of their comprehension of teamwork that he'd so painfully had to teach them.
"Three on one hardly seems like a fair fight," noted Terry, adjusting the cuff of his dress shirt.
"Does he always talk this much, Daniel-San?" questioned Chozen.
"Yep, pretty much has since the day I met him," answered Daniel, knowingly.
Silver surely speaks before he acts which is an unfortunate downfall that the selfish mind often has.
Terry used his left foot to flip the circular table up, smacking Johnny clean in the chin before sweeping Daniel's legs out from below him, knocking them both onto the floor. As the two Senseis were regaining their balance, Chozen went into hand-to-hand combat with Terry.
Every punch Terry threw, Chozen blocked with relative ease, but still, a person can only block an attack so many times before losing energy. Something Chozen was quickly discovering as he was barely able to use his left hand to upper block his opponent.
"Getting tired there, old man?" taunted Terry, swinging his long leg above Chozen's head, nearly accomplishing a frontal kick to the face.
"Never," announced Chozen, shaking his head firmly.
A fight is never over until your opponent is on the ground.
"You Miyagi-Dos really do need to get over this whole honor thing because it's really starting to get on my nerves," groaned Terry, immediately extending his right hand out to block Daniel's roundhouse kick.
The next several seconds were entirely opposite to how the fight had started with Chozen being able to hold his own as the three Senseis threw move after move at Terry, slowly pushing him towards the door.
Only a coward would abandon a fight and I know that better than most, unfortunately.
The three Miyagi-Fangs moved in perfect succession, timing each attack precisely after their ally's until Daniel finally punched Terry against the wall, pressing his left arm against his enemy's chest.
"So what now, Danny Boy? You already proved you wouldn't kill me and look what happened?" He spat, his face tense with anger.
"That's your problem, Silver. Your only solution to any problem is anger," stated Daniel, his arm held steadily.
Despite what his appearance bore, Chozen saw something discomforting glitter in Daniel's eyes.
He mustn't hesitate or we could lose more than our sacred dojo!
"Eh, I like to think there's two options," shrugged Terry, unfazed by his decreasing control.
"Do not listen to this mad man, Daniel-San," cautioned Chozen.
"Yeah, and what's that?" scoffed Johnny, ignoring his fellow sensei's warnings as he stared Terry in his murderous eyes.
"Payback," smiled Terry, nodding to the right.
Without a second's notice, Johnny was thrown through the air, hitting back first against the room's pink painted walls.
"Didn't think you could get rid of me that easily, Lawrence," sneered Mike Barnes.
