Loretta and Colt worked all morning getting the place ready for Loretta's brothers to come in. Three of her brothers were adopted but the three of them were half siblings and one brother and her sister were full blood. None of that mattered to them though they were family and that's all that mattered.

The oldest, Brickier "Rooster", was 30 and had been in the Air Force since he was 18. He drinks to cope with the pain of loosing his friends in combat. Rooster was about 6'7 and was half white half black. He had dark curly hair, brown eyes and medium brown skin. He was responsible and strong. Being the oldest he was more parent like than a brother.

Roseybelle, but she prefers Belle, was the only other girl than Loretta. Belle is 5'5 and around 245 pounds, she has long brown hair, very pale skin, and beautiful blue eyes. She is 29, and left home at 25 after marrying a lazy drug dealer and moved to Ohio with their mothers family.

Next in line is Robert Clark "RC". He is 27 now and 6'5. He has hazel eyes, black hair, glasses, and light skin. He moved out to Lexington for college and got into some pills. After rehab he still smokes weed but cleaned himself up for the most part.

Loretta's only brother by blood is Gilbert, named after Papaw, he's 6'2, 25 years old, thin blonde hair, tan skin, glasses, and a bit of an asshole. He would rather drink at home and smoke with RC than just by himself. Gil was the high school football star and left Wayland and went south after high school with his preppy ex wife. He now has a son that he raises on his own.

Which brings us to Ryder. Ryder is the second youngest aside from Loretta at the age of 20 years old. He's 6'3, tan skin, black hair, hazel eyes, glasses, and kind as can be. He was never much for drinking and weed. He moved to Lexington with RC to keep him out of trouble and out of rehab.

The six siblings have not all seen each other since their parents passing last year. It was a cold icy night and their father lost control of the car and went into the side of the mountain. Both Momma and Daddy were killed on impact.

Now all four boys were on their way to their childhood home. Rooster is bringing his wife Lacie, that he had met while deployed in Georgia. Gil has his carbon copy 2 year old Gabe.

Loretta was excited to hear the trucks pull up as she ran outside to see them all there. She ran to hug each of them and Colt stood by the front door with Ammo.

"Colt? Good to see you man. Y'all remember Colt, Mrs Birdie's boy," Ryder said hugging his little sister seeing Colt on the porch.

"Yeah hey y'all," Colt said. He looked a little nervous.

"Why is he here and y'all alone," Rooster said with anger in his voice.

"He wanted to keep me company last night, he didn't like me on the mountain alone. He slept on the couch last night. Nothin happened," Loretta lied and Colt grinned a little.

"Leave em alone Roost, you stayin t'night Cobalt?" RC asked.

"Yeah I thought I might," responded Colt.

"Who wants dinner?" Loretta asked.

Everyone went in side and ate a good home cooked meal of cornbread, ham, green beans, corn, and mashed potatoes.

"Any one heard from Belle?" Ryder asked.

"Shit no," Loretta and Gil said in unison.

"She doesn't care bout us," Rooster said.

Everyone just kept eating and making jokes. After eating Ryder helped with dishes and Gil made the suggestion of lighting a bonfire.

The fire shot 20 foot tall and all of them drank and smoked weed till early in the morning. They all got so fucked up they barely noticed it starting to snow.

By the time they all went to bed none of the boys noticed Colt went to bed with Loretta.

By morning there was no getting back down the mountain they were stuck till things thawed.
