This week, we will give feedback on Narrative Time.

❝The narrative tense or narrative time determines the grammatical tense of the story, meaning whether it is presented as occurring before, during, or after the time of narration: i.e., in the past, present, or future.❞ 

What to look for in Narrative time?

- Was a given chapter narrated in one tense? Are there shifts between tenses in the story?

- If the author intended to shift between narrative times, was it done smoothly, or was it confusing? Was it necessary in the first place?
