And now, 65 million years after the mass extinction, one group of ancient reptiles continues residing in the small nation of Amarkia, a mini-utopia enclave in Egypt. Leading twenty million slow-aging subjects is the young king Akanthodis Kyverna, known as "Spiny" to his friends. 

With no living parents, he must direct an entire nation, defend it against its enemies, and also look after his siblings and live with his best friend who is expert in being irritating and sarcastic. However, he also tries to live the life of any preteen by having a social life, attending middle school and of course, the girl he likes and hopes to be with someday.
