Marinette's POV

"Hey Mari, are you done with the notes yet?" Asks Alya impatiently. First week back at school and I'm surprisingly enjoying every moment of it.

"Yep, nearly done" I say after being snapped out of my thoughts. In fact, I wasnt copying notes, I was daydreaming. I begin to scribble down random notes and then close my book in relief.

The bell rings loudly in my ears, the worst and best sound. I watch as Adrian packs up his books and talks to Nino as they leave the classroom, well the bell isn't the best sound. I sigh dreamily.

"Ok Mari, let's get out of here" says Alya snapping me out of my beautiful fantasy of me and Adrian.

"Oh yeah, coming" I say as I pack up my books and stumble out of my desk.

"You're so clumsy Mari" says Alya, laughing at one of my many flaws.

"You're right Alya" I say slightly disappointed at myself.

"Cheer up Mari, we always have CM to make us feel better" says Alya with a broad grin on her face.

"Um well I was thinking about helping out my parents in the bakery instead" I say trying to get out of probably the best thing that ever happened in my life, other than Adrian that is.

"Oh c'mon Mari, you need to have some fun" says Alya while grabbing my hand and running to my place.

"Hi mr and miss Dupen!" Says Alya whilst dragging me up to my room.

"Hi mom hi papa" I say whilst being dragged away.

"Oh bonjour sweety" says my parents as they continue to work. We enter my room and Alya takes the books out of my hand and place them on the bed and begins to search for something.

"Alya what are you doing?" I ask in shock.

"Searching for your bag of course" she replies while throwing things out of my wardrobe.

"Umm it's right there" I point shyly towards a red bag resting underneath my desk.

"Oh, thanks" Says Alya and she grabs it and slings it over her shoulder.

"Are we really going out tonight?" I ask nervously while pointing my two index fingers together and bitting my lip.

"Yes, now c'mon we might miss it, and I need a new post for my LadyBlog" says Alya while grabbing my hand and running downstairs and out the door.

"Oh bye honey" says my mother as she watches us run across the street from the shop.

"Kids these days" says my mother with a disappointed voice.

"Kids will be kids I guess" Said my papa as he refilled the glass case with more (you pick the flavour) cupcakes.

"But where do they go?" Asks my mom concerned.

"So, who cares, a child is a child, let them be" replies my papa whilst kissing my mom.

We arrive outside the entrance to CM. The wet stairs stained with bits of spray paint and face paint. Music coming out faintly. We walk down the stairs with me nearly slipping.

"Ah Mari, you really are clumsy" says Alya laughing.

Alya gives the secret knock and the heavy metal door swings open. We casually enter.

"Ah, LB and Wifi, welcome back" says the doorman.

"Merci" I say polietly while Alya just walks in.

"Alright Mari go get dressed, tonights gonna be fun" says Alya whilst hugging me and heading into the changing room herself.

Giving up and deciding to be myself I enter the changing room with my signature on it.

"This is going to be so much fun, I'm gonna show Alya my new moves" I say ratger proud. I get dressed into my black sweat pants and my red crop top with black spots. I add 2 red ribbons to my hair that stick out by my dark blue pigtails.

I check myself out in the mirror. Gurl I look hot, tonight is gonna be killer, like last night.

I press the red button on my concrete wall next to the door. I hear a buzz sound and minutes later Nathaniel enters my dressing room.

"Hey Mari, ready to have some fun tonight?" Asks Nathaniel smirking at me as he sits down on a black box and indicates for me to do the same.

"You bet, you and Nino are going down" I say competitively while clenching my fists.

"Yeah right, you said that last time" He replies as he gets a brush and dabs it in the red facepaint.

"Well this time will be different, I'm sure of it" I say knowing that tonight I will rock.

Nathaniel adds the red paint around my eyes, like a facepaint mask.

"Ok you're all done" he says while packing up.

"Thanks Nathaniel, how do I look?" I ask while checking myself out in the mirror.

"You look...beautiful" says Nathaniel whilst blushing tremendously. I blush slightly and then thank him once more and we walk out together. I put on my black dance gloves and examin the scence.

"Hey LB!" Calls a familiar voice.

"Hey Wifi" I reply slyly whilst walking over to her.

"Dang gurl, you look hot tonight" says Wifi.

"You too Alya, I mean Wifi" I say, quickly correcting my mistake at the end.

"Hey ladies" calls a familiar voice from behind us.

"Hey Nino!" We call in reply.

"You ready to party" He asks whilst crossing his arms.

"You bet!" I say. Then Nino puts on a really up-beat song. This is a really great song!

I watch as Nino begins to party on the dj stand. Woohoo.

I begin to let loose and dance. This is so much fun!

"Wow Mari, you're such an after school badass!" Says Wifi while swinging her hips to the beat. Yep that's me, the after school badass, I smirk happily to myself.
