007| THE REAL NAME, NOT GREY EYES
~K O M I S O L A~
"I have class," I told her.
Infact, lied.
"No, you don't. You're in SS2 right? All classes are free, right now."
"I have class," I plainly repeated.
I had said more than enough words today.
I wanted to get out of this place.
The seniors were here, helping Lady Susan. The whole of SS3 class.
Which meant; including Senior Alexander and Senior Zara...
"Come oh, no be this girl be this? Dem Adedire family?" Someone spoke up and I wanted the earth to split open and consume me.
"Bros, no dey loud am." Somebody chuckled in response. I felt everyone's eyes on me immediately. I couldn't look up. Never.
"What are you looking for here?" The thick voice that had spoken first suddenly switched to an English accent. And it sounded so low, so dangerous, so threatening...
I took a step back.
But I hit a senior.
A male senior.
I jumped and moved away as he held me, a confused look in his eyes. Meanwhile I took deep breaths, trying to calm my sudden paranoia.
It was Senior Amir.
He probably meant no harm but...
He was still a male.
A male.
Like your brother.
Like Davies.
And now, they're mocking you.
"Didn't you hear me?! What are you looking for here?!" The thick voice yelled at me and I looked up to see that it belonged to Senior Abel.
The gangster of the set.
"Stop shouting," Senior Amir hissed. Glared at Senior Abel with unmasked displease.
A look flashed in Senior Abel's eyes before he smiled. "Wetin be that your own name sef? Amira abi wetin,"
"Your IQ is too low to be able to understand the pronunciation of my name. Simple as ABC. Abi," Senior Amir paused and I watched.
Simply watched as he savaged Senior Abel for me.
For me.
"You don't know that one?" Senior Amir completed and someone from the end of the room burst into excessive laughter.
Snickers could be heard from every angle of the room.
Senior Abel was fuming.
Literal exhaust fumes coming out from his nose.
Senior Inaya stepped in and glanced at Senior Amir, seeming to communicate with her eyes. "Aayan, it's okay," she told him quietly and turned to Senior Abel.
"She helped me to carry these instruments."
"Then what is she still looking for here?" Senior Abel barked. He faced me with a harsh glare that made me swallow. "Leave, get out."
"You don't have to be harsh about it, Abel. What did the girl do to you?"
A senior spoke up and scowled.
Truth was, Senior Abel was just one of the many people who had a problem with me even if we didn't have any thing to do with each other.
The only times when we crossed paths were the times he bullied me.
Nothing asides from that.
"Get out!" Senior Abel yelled at me and I turned around immediately. But my eyes met with someone at the worst timing.
Senior Zara.
I stopped in my tracks, swallowing yet again at the impassive look in her eyes as she stared at me.
I waited for her to look away.
But I was wrong to.
Because Senior Zara was never one to look away.
"What's going on here?" Lady Susan walked in and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Why's everybody standing like statues? Help me move na," she offered a sweet smile and glanced at me.
"She's a sweetheart," Lady Susan patted me on my shoulder. "I saw her helping me to carry instruments down the hallway with Inaya and Amir. Thank you, Komisola." She smiled at me. A sweet, gentle smile.
I nodded slightly and proceeded to walk away, feeling the cold air hit my face once I stepped out of the Music Room.
He pushed me to the floor, eyes glinting in mockery. His friends laughed at me, watching me and pointing their fingers at me.
"Here," he brought his phone forward and showed me a video.
It was the leaked video.
I closed my eyes, hot tears spilling out as I remained on the floor. Thick bile rose up my throat and so did anger in my body.
"You no wan watch am?" Someone scoffed.
"We could try it, y'know," he bent down and moved closer. So close till our lips were inches apart.
He traced my cheek with his finger and dug it into my skin. I swatted his hand away without thinking.
My paranoia was getting the worst of me once again.
The fear I felt when he touched me... it was a sick feeling.
"Laughing my ass off! I think Komisola is dedicated to her brother, her one and only sex buddy."
And with that, Senior Abel and his whole gang burst into laughter. Like mad men.

She was looking at me so seductively, it was starting to irritate the shit out of me. But I couldn't so, I gave the same look back.
She bit her lower lip and lowered her stare, hands trailing along my notebook on the table.
Her name was Dabirah.
"I see you're starting to get attracted to the weirdo beside you," she said and I paused.
"Who is the weirdo?" I asked.
It must not definitely not be...
"Who were you looking at when you came? Was it not her?" Dabirah hissed at me and twirled a strand of her hair attachments.
"She has a name, you know," I told her calmly.
No one dared speak about...
I just realized I don't know her name.
Well, no one dared speak about the girl who said twenty-one words to me today.
Never had I thought I'd be so eager to hear a few words from somebody.
But she savaged me for the second time today.
"Her name's Komisola. Komisola Queen Adedire. Queen my ass," Dabirah laughed and hissed again.
Was she low-key a snake?
"Koh-mi-soh-la," I tried pronouncing her name but I failed obviously.
"It's not koh-mi," Hassan, a light skinned Hausa guy who had introduced himself to me with a shake, corrected. "It's Komi."
I listened to his pronunciation and nodded.
Grey eyes never wanted me to know her name.
But guess who knew her name now?
I, Hanniel.
I did.
