Chapter 10 Special: The Interview(s)

Cyclone, the Wind Phantom. A hero whose backstory is shrouded in secrecy. One of the most deadly heroes out there currently, and somehow also being one of the youngest Pro Heroes in the scene. And coupled with his rapid rise within the rankings and the spotlight suddenly shining on him, he's got a makings of a polarizing Pro Hero.
People seem to never agree on what Cyclone means to the majority of the Japanese Population. And his impact to society as a whole. A lot of people don't like his 'methods' of dispatching criminals, thinking that he may have done war crimes (allegedly). This is also the case for law enforcement who get more fatalities when No. 13 steps into the scene and fights instead of any other hero that would most likely detain said criminals.
They also don't like how his backstory is put under a veil of secrecy. For the reason being that it's all the more harder to hold him accountable if he ever makes a misdeed that would be frown upon by society.
But one opinion of him stands out, that most, if not all people agree that if he was on the 'other side' instead, he would have been public enemy #1. So the Japanese society is conflicted on what to frame Cyclone to the rest of the world. He's not a marketable hero that can be made to a figurine or be making merchandise off of him, and despite of his way of doing things, he has been one of the most prolific hero assassins that the country of Japan has ever seen. And crime rates are still dropping even with All Might's appearances being more few and far between.
So knowing all of that information now, and how the general public looks at Cyclone and how they see him when they put him under the microscope, The heroes that he works with occasionally, they might also have some conflicting opinions of the Wind Phantom.
With that in mind, a news company in Japan has now green-lit a piece on trying to figure out what do the other Pro Heroes think of Cyclone. And one lucky news crew has been given the task, with an added bonus to interview Pro Heroes and meet them directly.
It took a little while to get enough Pro Heroes to participate in this piece that it almost killed the piece but some heroes clutched up and were able to join in time.
But after this interview the editing team will only have 48 hours to piece it all together and do some voice-over and a lot of edits. But who cares, amirite?

Mt Lady's P. O. V
===============
I'm getting interviewed?!! Has the public finally recognized my greatness as a hero?! My god I better nail this interview square in the head, I prepared everything that I could to make myself look good as possible. My makeup, my hair, and especially my costume. I never felt so prepared like this my whole life!
But I'm in a room with a two chairs and a small coffee table. This doesn't look as extravagant as I wanted it to be... Nonetheless, I'll make the best with that I have.
Why are my hands shaking?!?! If All Might can handle getting interviewed so many times, I can sure do it as well!
And I finally saw the news anchor that popped out of the curtain to my left and sat on the table across from me. This is it!!!
The interview starts and I try to introduce myself in the most flashiest way I can do it. With showing a little bit of my butt in front of the camera. The news crew sure didn't mind so I guess I can get away with it.
"Today, Mt. Lady we are here to talk about the most polarizing hero at this moment!" The anchor said with a smile. It *has* to be me!
"Yeah! Who could it be?"
Come on...
"The Wind Phantom, Cyclone!"
...
'Eh?'
---
"Thank you for participating with us! It's been a pleasure meeting you!" She took my hand and shook it, I tried to put a smile, but it was half-baked, but before they could notice it though, I started to walk my way out of the door.
"Damn, that kid..."

"How much of that footage can we include in the piece?" The news anchor asked the cameraman, who was looking at the MP4 files compiled from the interview.
"We can only decide on it when we finish interviewing everyone else. Come on, job's not done, we have 2 more heroes left to talk to." The cameraman tapped on the anchor's shoulder. She nodded and went outside to find the second interviewee.

Midnight's P. O. V
===============
Well, my interview is not about me but is about Cyclone... Not too surprising... Knowing people's opinion of him they're definitely polarizing and put him in a tough spot within society... Maybe perhaps I could influence people's opinion of that with this interview...
I just better hope that these interview questions aren't leading me into negative connotations about him.
But before I can even think for longer, the news anchor came in and we both shook hands with pleasure. And then she gave me recently made cup of coffee. I like this girl's style.
She gestured to the camera, as the crew was about to start taping... Let's keep my cool, now.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Midnight. We are very honored that you decided to take time from your busy schedule to give us your opinions on the new Pro Hero in the scene, Cyclone, The Wind Phantom." She shook my hand once again.
"Shall we start with the questions?"
1. What is your opinion on his meteoric rise in the Pro Hero rankings?
"I don't see any problem with it at all. To be optimistic, it's very encouraging that the proceeding generations of Quirk users are getting more and more talented. For him being so young, me and the other Pro Heroes can very easily be a good mentor for the young hero."
2. Do you agree with Japan's society's portrayal of Cyclone domestically and internationally?
Hmm... This is rather tough one.
"For all his faults and recklessness, the people must know that they're placing maybe a little bit too much expectations on the young Pro Hero. He's a late teenager, and he's bound to make more mistakes and his ranking just magnifies his mistakes even more. I think it is no fair to him and society must give him a few more years to mature and then judge his character."
Phew... I at least did my best to put him in a positive light.
3. How does his personality mesh with yours and other Pro Heroes?
"He's is usually punctual and very obedient when around us veterans. And very cooperative as well. He hasn't let his powerful abilities go to his head, that's for sure."
4. Lastly, to end it off, what is your personal opinion of Cyclone?
"For my limited interactions with Cyclone, he is sometimes rash and forceful, but at heart and as a human, he's still a good kid with a lot to learn."
"And... CUT!" The producer gave a thumbs up and everyone in the room gathered up to the PC... I'm not sure what they're doing but my train of thought was interrupted by the anchor and shook my hand once more and gave our last formalities...
And I left the room very satisfied with my answers. I hope this gets a lot of traction online. His treatment by society shouldn't be what it is right now.

The producer was looking at his watch and he started to grind his teeth ever-so-slightly. For he seems to be a little bit impatient and worried that they might not get the clips in time to be fully edited before it gets tossed out.
The cameraman who was now using the PC was now sending the MP4 files back at the Headquarters to the editors to double check their footage and readying them for the editing process. They have their work cut out for them, as it is less than 48 hours before the deadline.
And as the files sharing was going on, the producer demanded everyone to get back onto their posts and get the last Pro Hero interviewed. And the lady went outside again to find the last Pro Hero to interview.

Ryukyu's P. O. V
===============
I've barely gotten any interviews this past months. I wonder what is their intention behind this now, since I'm already laying low and still managed to reach me. But whatever it is, it is my duty to answer these questions.
Now with that said, I'm not usually used to be interviewed in a room. That's not how heroes usually get interviews on. As I look around the room, there's a few men in here checking their cameras and what not... Seems they're waiting for someone.
"Good morning, miss. I am very honored to be able to meet you in person." A lady came out of a curtain and takes out her hand to shake mine, as I did the same.
"I am also very honored to be interviewed in the first place."
"Please, do sit down. We'll start the interview shortly."
We both sat down, and I see a cup of coffee on the small table beside me, I touched the cup, but it was not warm anymore... But I see this as a waste if no one does anything about it... So I drank the coffee, all of it. Ugh, it was cold as I expected. But at least it wasn't wasted.
"Sorry for the cold coffee, we had 2 interviewees earlier and none thought to drink the coffee we offered them both." The woman in front of me bowed her head. I did the same before she turned her head around back to the men manning the cameras. Giving them a thumbs up.
It's starts now... I'm nervous.
"Our last Pro Hero is the Top 9 Pro Hero named Ryukyu! We are grateful that you are able to join us today. We will be asking questions about the newcomer within the Pro Hero ranks, Cyclone. Let us not waste any time, and get into the questions!"
'...It's about this guy... Hmm... With the amount of news he's been appearing in, I think if I come back soon, I may encounter him. He also has that very rare double quirks, right...?'
1. What is your opinion of his quirk?
"I apologize, but what is his quirk again?"
"It is rumored to be Oxygen and Wind Control as per countless articles."
"Oxygen as a Quirk itself is already a dangerous power to have as it is effective against, basically everyone but a select few. But coupled that with Wind as well, it makes him a definitive a Top 5 contender. How isn't he already in there is beyond me."
2. Are you satisfied with how Society sees Cyclone?
"I do think sometimes his actions warrant some explaining but I sometimes think that people over inflate his mistakes rather than his achievements. And if given more time to flourish, people's opinion can definitely change as I think he's a good person at heart."
3. Some fanatics of this particular Hero have always argued that he can stand toe-to-toe to the biggest villains and heroes if he wishes to. Do you agree with that argument?
"I personally do not know the extent of his capabilities and his mastery of his quirks, and I haven't seen or heard of Cyclone fighting any significant threats yet. Or well, that we know of. He's calls himself an assassin, after all. That's the nature of his line of work."
"And though his already good at his form now, I don't think he's able to fight the likes of All Might just yet."
4. Personal question before we finish this interview, how long till we see you again?
"I do still need some months to rest. So I can't say. But if an significant enough threat arises that the other heroes can't handle, I'll be sure to be there."
"Cut!"
"Good work, everybody! Pack it up and make it quick! We have a lot of work to do when we get back!" A man popped out of a curtain and waved at everyone, and the anchor failed to shake my hand one last time as she rushed to get back behind the curtain.
'Hmm... It must have been a tiring day for her and everyone. I should leave also...'

It is now almost midnight, Ryukyu has left, the TV crew has now left and are now painstaking working into the night to get that piece to be done as fast as possible.
The next day, the crew finally got their one and only draft to the Quality Assurance process and it somehow got approved, but most likely pity from them and green-lit the piece to be televised.
The crew was all elated by the good news, and tomorrow morning, broadcasting it to thousands of people in Japan.
And the person who was the topic of the piece, was leaning on his chair, 'watching' the piece while looking at his phone for the daily news.
Hearing his name perked him up and made him watch through the whole piece...
"Huh... What the hell is that editing...?" He said, disappointed with the coverage.
