i had some things that needed to be addressed, so i am going to use this space.

➸ the RCA is ending in another day so make sure you get your votes in, and ask your friends to vote for you if they haven't done it already!

➸ for the cloud award winners, i have decided i will initially create the stickers and the book covers (if honorable mention) and send it out, its a drive link, the cloud storage creation takes quite the time so i will take it down at my own pace.

➸ you might wonder, why even cloud storage? most of them are worried about stickers/shoutouts anyways!

well- i want the rewards to not just be useful for your works, but... probably useful for your life, in general. 100 GB cloud storage is no small thing and sure, google drive exists, but... the service i am trying to promote/make use of... the team behind it as well as their community-driven focus is so good, you couldn't possibly want to go anywhere else! (speaking from personal experience #not-sponsored)

➸ being a single host means doing everything on your own (though, that might be due change in the future) but, even if certain things take time, i want to give the best to the community that's still here, dreaming of a better future, whether its writer-focused or not.

for most of us, this is a place of creativity outlet, and despite the recent changes that has driven so many of us away, there's others who are willing to stay and make a difference, i am just doing my part.

that's why i never ask for follow on my main account unless i am judging/reviewing works, because... most of the announcements are made in this profile (also part reason why i separated personal and awards profile) its the least i could ask for, and most of the times i don't bother my follower count on any of the profiles because at the end of the day, it doesn't matter to me!

anywhoo- i got distracted, my apologies. i don't know why i felt the necessity to prove/post that but its probably stemming from a recent conversation i had. i am sorry for the rant.

➸ coming to the point, i wasn't going to post this on the announcements chapter where it'd stay for a longer time than on the message board but, i felt it was necessary to do so.

contests should be fair and square, and so should be judges' reviews. i understand some of them leave shorter reviews and its not always helpful, but... we can't really force anyone to post longer, genuine reviews all the times, we all have lives outside of wattpad an we won't always get a chance to do that. something would always be on the run.

but i would request every participant/reader to NOT go around and bully the said judge or anyone for that matter. one person's choices shouldn't be the downfall of this whole community, especially the ttt (now you know why this account is named thetranquilityteam xD) community, not under my watch and i will make sure to go above and beyond, as far as i can, just to make sure things stay awesome for everyone included, are we clear?

why i mention all of this is, due to the recent case of action/adventure genre. the reviews and scores were done so badly, it didn't hit me that toning down the language of the review while i am not able to decide on the scoring is not an ideal approach until one of them asked to speak to judge (i am sure there's others who wanted genuine feedback to improve their work but were hit by the contrast)

i am taking notes by notepad and using AI to make the task little easier for me when it comes to time as well as efficiency, because there's so much i can take at once and if it helps me speed up the process while also making sure the reviews are actually helpful, why not?

➸ i will be reading up to chapter 5 of your work (even if your work has prologue or not) since that's the standard i had set for general judging too, 5-6 chapters, and then write a review.

i want y'll (only for the participants of the mentioned genre) to choose between the type of review you'd want:

1. chapter-by-chapter feedback with the description (blurb) included

2. judging rubrics format with comments on each rubric

OR

3. overall feedback considering chapters 1-5 which focuses on strengths, weakness, and general commentary/additional points of consideration

the strengths, weakness and other points will be briefly touched upon in all formats, the last one is just specifically for a summary-style feedback.

whichever you choose, you'll get that type of feedback, if you choose all, you get all. and since i am using a tool to help me, it really wouldn't be that much of a burden compared to the case where i was doing everything manually.

the only payment i ask in return is a follow on my main account @Saramitra_ and that's all that i am going to ask. you can unfollow if you wish to as soon as you receive your review, but... this just helps me keep a tab of things in a better way.
