Steven's dad Greg agreed to come over for brunch with Connie and her family tomorrow morning. Steven slept through the night, thinking about the brunch. The next morning, Steven woke up, receiving a text from Connie that said "see you at 10:45. ☺" Steven smiled and texted back, "See you soon. Happy Mother's Day. Love you. ❤" Steven then got dressed, putting on his blue jeans, his blue T-shirt with a yellow star at the center, his magenta sandals, and his pink coat. Suddenly, a blue police phone booth came out of nowhere!

"Uhh... Guys?" Steven said, wondering what the heck a phone booth was doing in his house, and how it managed to fit in the living room! Suddenly Lion, Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl came out of their rooms to see what all the fuss was about. The Gems all gave confused looks. "What is that thing?" Pearl asked, looking at the phone booth. "Looks like a phone booth," said Steven, "it just came out of nowhere. I don't know how, and I don't know how it managed to fit inside here..." Amethyst scratched her head and said, "a phone booth? Didn't those die in the 90s or the late 2000s?" Garnet looked at the phone booth and said, "that's no phone booth..."

"It's not?" Steven asked. "Sapphire looked into the future, and that phone booth is actually a spaceship," confirmed Garnet. "Fascinating..." Pearl said as she observed the blue police phone booth that was actually a spaceship. Suddenly, someone came out of the spaceship. This someone was actually a dog. He was a peculiar looking dog, a Wheaten Terrier with a short stub for a tail. He wore a brown trenchcoat and a darker brown vest with a light blue collared shirt, and pants with the same color as his vest. He wagged his short little tail as he looked at everyone. "A dog?" Steven asked as Lion curiously sniffed him. The dog then said, "a top in the mornin' to ya, Steven Universe!" His voice was like a cross between an Irish accent and a British accent. Lion sneezed, and Steven & Pearl jumped in surprise going "eek!" Amethyst was too fascinated by the talking dog to shriek, and Garnet was totally nonchalant. "You can talk?" Steven asked curiously. "I sure can lad," confirmed the dog, "I ain't from around here. I'm from a different universe entirely! I'm from an extinct planet known as Gallifrey. I'm a Time Dog! My name is Dr. Woof!" He happily stood on his hind legs, wanting to be pet or have his ears scratched.

"Nice to meet you Doctor Woof. How do you know my name?" Steven asked as he tilted his head, all the while petting Dr. Woof. "Aye, the legend of Steven Universe is a legend that has been told throughout the Multiverse. I've seen billions of alternate dimensions where Steven Universe has saved Earth through his peacemaking compromises. Some similar, some different. So the name Steven Universe isn't unfamiliar. I'm honored to meet you." Steven smiled and said, "the honor's all mine Dr. Woof. So are you like an adventurer?" Dr. Woof nodded and said, "I am indeed. My owner and I come from a dimension that is similar to yours." Amethyst smirked and asked, "what's your owner's name?"

"The Doctor," replied Dr. Woof. "Doctor Who?" Pearl asked curiously. "Aye, now ye gettin' it," chuckled the Canine Doctor. "What're you doing here, Dr. Woof?" Steven asked curiously. "Well, I heard ye conversation with Connie," explained the Canine Doctor, "and I understand that ye never got the chance to meet ye mum. Well where The Doctor and I are from, Rose Quartz is alive." Steven gave a look of surprise and asked, "she is?" Dr. Woof nodded in confirmation and offered, "how would ye like to come to me dimension and meet Rose Quartz?" Steven's eyes widened and he asked, "do you really mean it?"

"Hold on Steven," protested Pearl, "you have to meet up with your father and go to brunch with Connie and her parents at 10:45. We wouldn't want you to be late. And besides, wouldn't there be some complex paradox if both of the same gems met in the same room, complicating everything, or unintentionally causing a threatening fusion?" Dr. Woof chuckled, "aye, don't worry about a thing Pearl. The TARDIS not only travels through space and alternate dimensions, but is also a time machine. I can set the coordinates to where Steven will only be gone for a few seconds. What will be seconds for all of you will be a lot longer for Steven. And a paradox? Unlikely. You're thinking of Time Cop, and that type of scenario has never happened! That's gobbledygook! What The Doctor and I deal with is some wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff, nothing paradoxical." Garnet looked at the TARDIS and said, "ah, so that's what it's called. And you know Doctor Woof, what you just said reminds me of what Spock said in Star Trek. And it sounds logical. If Steven won't be gone long, then I guess it's okay if he comes along with you." Pearl shrugged and said, "Well, if Garnet's alright with it, I don't see any reason why not. Just be careful Steven." He smiled and said, "Thanks guys. See you in a few seconds." Steven winked at them, and he and the Gems laughed. Steven and Doctor Woof then went into the TARDIS; the dog going back on all four legs, and once the door shut, the TARDIS disappeared from the living room. Amethyst stared in fascination and said, "we've got to get ourselves one of those."
