Salutations you awesome people ^-^

Many people seem shocked when I say I have blond hair, which isn't all that confusing when the only picture you see is my profile picture of a female with brown hair. I usually proceed to explain to them that I dub Elina Violets as my 'Internet-self' so to say, and is not directly correlated with my physical 'real'-self. True we share similarities, such as our skin-color, but we are also different such as with our hair-color. The reason for this is that we were never meant to be the same person in the first place, but as I am very internet-shy when it comes to showing my true identity, I used her name instead. So with this shelf in my Closet of my wall I hope to explain this interesting phenomenon a little better.

So without further ado, here is our story I named 'Elina'volution:

Our tale starts in 2014 I believe, when I was 12 and my family and I were in Portugal for the summer vacation (which was really fun and cool as I've never experienced coldness before being an island-child). I remember sitting in my designated room in the attic with my female cousin as we came up with the idea for a story. The basics of the story were that in a world where magic was long forgotten and mystical creatures had long been locked away from human eyes, a little girl awoke her inner magic, her name being Elina Violets. I could go on with the story but I'd spoil too many things, as I still want to try my hand at writing the story (I keep saying that I want to but I haven't really started yet, some core elements are still missing, but I hope to get my butt in gear before the story never gets its chance to be told). At the time I played a game known as Maplestory, so when I got back home I tried using maple characters to visualize my idea of her, cause my drawing skills suck. This was my end result at the time;

Very blocky isn't it? Well this was the best I could do at the time as I had no confidence in my ability to portray her like I wanted if I were to draw her myself. I also created her with a banner behind her for a background picture of sorts;

Then, I came across a site known as Qfeast, my first ever experience in a community-based website. The idea of showing myself on the internet where anything I'd post stays was extremely frightening for me, so I made a thick wall between my internet-self and me. At first it wasn't supposed to be Elina who would fill in that gap of my lack of an internet-personality, but because I haven't given Elina a proper personality yet (as I only made the bare bones of the story, no character development) it was easy to imprint her as a different version of myself, but never confuse her as 'me'. As I grew to love Qfeast and could wait hours for notifications, I started to give more of myself in Elina Violets. She became the kind of girl who'd try to always be kind and give her time and energy to please others. She became a fan of quotes, and once she found out the world of Undertale a major lover of puns. There I could share all my interests with people who also seem to like the same things as I do, which came to me as a mayor shock for I have never known such a person in the physical world. I enjoyed the sensation that if you were to build a friendship there it doesn't simply go away. It's here that I gave trying to draw Elina Violets a go, with Paint;

This was definitely my best version as I spend hours making it, I was proud of myself and to this day it has remained as my profile picture for the site. I even wanted to make a Youtube channel for Elina Violets by giving her a film crew (who were unofficially characters in the second book of the story I haven't written yet, I acknowledge I started to think ahead of myself) and this is what came out of it;

Here you can see; Elina Violets, host of the channel, Ray as the nar'ray'tor of any told story and Camera the camcat who both functioned as a camera and a cat. I started thinking up silly scenarios for them, one being this chase scene;

I know, lots of action and movement happening here XD

Also created a background picture for said Youtube channel (that doesn't exist);

I was really having fun with the idea XD

I continued to spend more and more time in the Qfeast's fandoms, made some stuff to add to Qfeast's collection of fan-works and tried to make and strengthen friendships I have formed over time. One day, a friend of mine named Hellixn send me this;

-and I might as well had a heart attack out of the amount of emotions I felt at the moment. I was genuinely surprised anyone would ever spend time to use their ability to make something for me. I was full of emotions that day.

In the year of 2016 a physical friend of mine has introduced me to a world known as 'Wattpad', knowing my obsession with reading thought it would be a great fit. You should of seen the look on my face when I realized so many stories where hidden away in my phone, and they were free! I was beyond ecstatic. I believe I continued to use my own drawing as my profile picture, I'm not too sure anymore. I had amazing fun on Wattpad, and slowly but surely went from Qfeast to Wattpad, and when Wattpad wasn't enough for my reading desires I found Royalroadl and novelupdates, both awesome reading sites but I believed Wattpad was better in it's community building spectrum, so I stayed here sharing this tale with all you Wattpadians X3

My profile picture had stayed the same for about a year till I made an interesting friendship with ChilleTales, who blessed me with this amazing piece of art;

I screamed. I screamed a lot out of happiness. Look at how awesome this looks! I always wanted to wear a purple jacket (It's just too damn hot here to do that)! I like how I could portray myself in any way I wanted with the non-specific facial expression. I found comfort in being her, for she was more human-proportioned than any of my own drawings and looked way more confident than I am XD

So just like I previously did on Qfeast I joined more of Wattpad's fandoms, made some stuff to add to Wattpad's collection of fan-works and made and strengthened friendships with you Wattpadians. Today (the day I'm publicizing this in 2018), something magical happened (making me share this story in the first place). That magical thing was that TheReturnOfTurtle (known to me as Turtle-sama) has, in return of making her first ever received fanart (what still suprises me to this day cause she is so awesome), made me fanart as well;

I was in the middle of a foodcourt, about to meet a friend I haven't seen for 4 years, that I received a notification I was tagged in one of Turtle-sama's stories. I opened it, reading the first phrases and dread build up in my stomach for if the update was what I think I it was , I might of had an emotion overload in a public scenario. I peeked further down seeing her beautiful work, wrote a quick comment or two to sattisfy the still-growing appreciation I felt, and quickly hid my phone away to greet my old friend with teary eyes. If she ever reads this update, she'll know why I sniffled.

This has been the journey Elina and I have been through on the internet. For her it was probably just a series of physical changes, for me it has been an emotional ride. Some day, if I ever feel like it's time, I'll show myself, but until then EVy is the best facial explanation of myself you'll probably ever get.
