dear tord,

that ridiculous excuse for a father has no right to treat you like that! i'm telling you, fight back. prove that you aren't worthless.

do it for the people you love.

matt is now telling me that he likes edd. (i didn't know he could like anyone other than himself.) i don't say anything about edd liking him back, though.

do you have a crush? i think... i might.

let me tell you about my day.

I wake up and immediately close my eyes again. I hate waking up; at least it's the weekend.

My mom knocks on my door and pokes her head in. "It's almost eleven in the morning, sweetie. Don't you think you should get up?" she says.

I groan in response but force my eyes open anyway.

"Okay.. I don't want breakfast." I mumble.

She sighs, but leaves. I sit up with a yawn and stretch. I get up and put on my blue hoodie and black jeans, like always.

Right as i'm about to walk downstairs, my phone rings. It's Edd.

"Hello?" I say as I pick up.

"Hiya, Tom!"

"What do you want?"

"I'm bored. Wanna go to the mall?"

"Why can't Matt go with you?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Oh, he's going. I just.. don't want to be alone with him," Edd replies shyly. "W-Well, I mean, I do. But then I think that he'll think that I like him. And I do but-"

I cut him off before he can ramble any longer. "I'll go."

I can practically feel his smile.

"Thanks, Tom! You're the best friend anyone could-" before he can finish, I hang up.

"I'm ready to be the third wheel," I say under my breath as I put my wallet and phone in my back pocket.

My mom drops me off at the mall. I see Edd waiting at the front, so I go over to him.

"Hey." I raise my hand limply into something that resembles a half-assed wave.

"Hi," his chocolate brown eyes are bright and sparkly, as usual. I don't get how he's always so damn happy. There's nothing to be happy about.

"I'm here~!" A high-pitched voice comes from behind me. I turn around to face the tall, energetic ginger.

Edd's smile somehow grows. "Hi Matty!" A blush now tints his cheeks.

"Let's just go," I speak up before they can start flirting.

"Okay!" Matt nods and leads the way.

I lag behind as Edd skips after him.

We go into a few stores; most of them were clothes stores, others were comic stores. I manage to convince them to go to Hot Topic to satisfy my edgy-teen needs. I buy a few band t-shirts, character key-chains, and some bracelets.

They roll their eyes at me, whispering about how i'm so emo. I scowl at them and snap, "I'm sorry that I can actually face reality and see that the world isn't sunshine and lollipops. Thanks."

I storm off. Their worried and regretful gazes pierce my back. God, I hate myself. They didn't do anything wrong; i'm just a bitch.
