The trees have eyes, and they are watching.

The Village of Roses isn't your typical medieval town. Full of magic, mystery, and everyday mayhem, travelers have good reasons to come hawk their wares. But it has a darker secret, one the townspeople keep hidden at any cost.

On their eighteenth birthday every girl in the Village of Roses is sent into the fields to pick a single rose. In the beginning the roses are white, but the darker your rose gets the worse your chances are of being picked by the mysterious sorcerer, living in the old tower at the top of knoll, for whatever his dark purposes require.

Bryony Collins is eighteen and just happens to be very unlucky.

Everstar is a world where magicians, power users, and shifters are real.

Theia Luz is one of them.
She begins her journey with her bff, and they have to go over the Trials of Academy and get chosen by the ten academies in Everstar.
However, only ten thousand 14 year olds out of millions will be accepted into the ten academics.
All the others, must join troops in the army and fight the war for Everstar, against the danger that's coming from the other side of the portals. She, of course, being our protagonist, will succeed getting in any academy. Though, she will have to face trials she's not prepared for, start a new life in the academy, and, face the unexpected.

Kiral Garrick, a 18 year old teenager, is going to take over Omnia, a troop that has the second highest rank in the army, from his father, who is the leader of Omnia, after he graduated at 20.
However, unexpected things happened, and whirled his whole life into a mess.

Throughout the story, Theia and Kirals lives intertwines together, with sparks that form in the light and the dark, while secrets that start to reveal themselves.

What will happen when they figure out the biggest secret of all, that endangers the lives of their world? That involves the other world at the other side of the portals?
