Pharaoh;; SandWing OC

AUTHOR'S NOTE;;
Eeeeee another OC. I'm so sorry for my lack of activity as of late. I'm busy dealing with eternal grief over Talons Of Power, which was spoiled as I was buying the book by a review.
I am 500% not okay with the ending.
Anyway, enjoy this child!

BASIC DETAILS;;
------ Name: Pharaoh (son of Shadowscale).
Interesting!
I'm delighted to see you've connected your OCs; it's always fun, and makes for good writing too. Also, nice name. And thank you for spelling it right.

------ Nicknames: Little One (by older family friends and Shadowscale) or "my child" (by only Shadowscale).
Awwwwwwwwwwww, Little One is cute.

------ Age: His age kinda flaunts back and forth in this bio but his current age is 12 and he is still living with his mother.
At least you're honest about it.
I'm just double checking you know what you're talking about when you say he's 12? In Pyrrhia, 7-year-old dragon is considered an adult. So, 7 would be the dragon equivalent of what 18 would be in a human... meaning this dude is at least 20 in terms of maturity.
Which is fine. I totally appreciate the idea of an adult dragon still living with his parents. Just as long as you're aware you've made him an adult.

------ Gender: Male.
*nods*

------ Sexuality: Pansexual.
Nice.

------ Tribe: Wired SandWing (wired meaning different-looking from other average SandWing dragons).
Double checking you don't mean weird.

------ Abilities: Normal SandWing abilities, trained skills which are not as good as his mother's yet but he's getting there *wink*, he CLAIMS to be able to read minds (he can't though).
Interesting! You've given him a lot of very creative - but very normal - assets. And I like the mindreading thing; adds a bit of character.

------ Relationship Status: No one since he does not get out much.
Hey same.

------ Occupation: Stay-at-home apprentice and helper (age 5-15), payed mercenary (20-above).
Okay, it does seem like you're aware of the age thing here, then. So, free to go. Also, nice jobs; very descriptive, and interesting too.

------ Theme Song: "Something Wild" by Lindsey Sterling ft. Andrew McMahon.
Nice! I'm a sucker for theme songs. It just adds so much more character to the already-existing persona. Also, good song choice. Lindsey Stirling really is exquisite.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION;;
Pharaoh is an odd SandWing to say the least. His physical features as a SandWing are not modified but his colors are odd. His base coloring is a tan with an orange underbelly. His crest is a slightly darker coloring that his base and blue dots go down the middle part of his scales. Dark green and blue triangles form a line from his forehead to the end of his tail.
Very interesting!
I hope you have an explanation for those odd features (I'm pretty sure you to). I can picture him very vividly, though.

There are ankh symbols around his body as well (around both his eyes, an arch of one on the edges of his first wing membrane, and a full yellow symbol on the end of a black barbed tail).
Oooo, ankhs are cool.

Pharaoh's build is average but he's starting to toughen up because of his training.
ABS ABS ABS ABS ABS ABS-
Go Pharaoh.

PERSONALITY;;
Pharaoh is a bit of a shy dragon when introducing himself to others. When he was with his mother, he often hid behind her or stood close. He wasn't completely silent for once you got to know him, he started talking more and more.
Nawwwww, poor little bab.

The older Pharaoh grew, the more reckless and into trouble he got, having to get saved repeatedly by a very grumpy Shadowscale.
Makes sense; growing children and adolescents often experience this.

After reaching adulthood though, Pharaoh tries to keep up his mercenary facade his mother taught him as best he could when working a job, but he always tends to goof off or laugh (this sometimes ends up in him losing a deal or job and possibly getting hurt).
Interesting!
I like it. He seems very quirky, and quite interesting too.

Pharaoh is very awkward around other dragons his age since growing up, he never really socialized with them. He's not edgy but he isn't a perfect dragonet like any mother wants theirs to be either.
0.02% edge, as classified by the Royal Department of Edgy Kids (© 2017) -
I'll stop there. This is actually pretty interesting, and you've given him a very realistic-seeming personality.
Just a little side note - edgy OCs are okay when you're aware of the edge.

Pharaoh sometimes stresses over small things and acts a bit more feminine from a result of a missing father figure.
Awwwwwwwww. I love this. I love, love, love this (all 'cause you love, love, love, when you know I can't love you... someone understand my references). It's perfectly realistic - I actually have a real-life friend who's exactly like that. So I like that you've put some thoughts into that. I'd love to know where his father is (and who is he? Who got it on with Shadowscale?) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) - but I'm assuming you'll cover this in his backstory.
Good job on this, though! You've created an equal amount of strengths and flaws. I like it.

BACKSTORY;; (Pharaoh's backstory is kinda cliche so fair warning).
Warning understood.

Pharaoh claims repeatedly to any dragon that he is part NightWing because his "mother", Shadowscale, is a Sand/Night hybrid. Unfortunately, he is wrong. Shadowscale never had an egg but during an assassination job, she stumbled upon a strange egg in sand.
Awww, dammit. Nobody got it on with Shadowscale - yet.
Also, I like the part about the NightWing side. You also mentioned it in his abilities; it's a neat little quirk, and makes him seem quite silly. And, consequentially, more believable.

At first, the hybrid was confused as to why a dragon would leave their egg in the sand. Maybe this dragon was a runt? Maybe it was simply an unwanted egg. She didn't know and continued into her job anyway. However, she came back days later to find the egg was still there and no dragon had picked it up, after a few minutes contemplating with her morals and mind as well as arguing with her instincts, she decided to take in the egg, raising it as her own.
Nice. I'm enjoying the detail in this; especially Shadowscale's conflict. I would like to know where he came from, but I won't pressure you.

After he hatched, Shadowscale gave him the name Pharaoh, no real reason why, she wasn't good at naming sentimental names though if he was a SeaWing she most likely would have named him Coral.
"What's that sound?" you ask.
"Nothing," I answer. "That's just my existence descending into a cataclysmic void dominated by tears and damned agony."

His training started at the age of 5, she wasn't accustomed to training anyone however since back in her group, fathers were the ones training the dragonets.
Interesting. As far as I know, in Pyrrhia female is the dominant gender - although both can be warriors, as was proven in the War of SandWing Succession. This is very interesting, though, and I can just imagine the struggle she went through. I can imagine it'd be funny at points, and difficult at others - a real challenge in character development.

She tried the best she could though, he didn't turn out perfect but she couldn't blame him (sometimes tending to blame herself for his major mistakes though).
Just as any mother would! I like this a lot. It's quite cute.

Pharaoh slowly grew, she watched him grow before her and the two were extremely close. Shadowscale never told Pharaoh of his origins and changed the subject when he asked about why he didn't have a father. (That's as much as I have now).
Very interesting! I must say, it isn't really that cliched. You've done a good job of minimising the tragedy, and incorporating whatever remains into his personality. I'm curious to find out what happens when he does find out the truth about his upbringing; just, whatever you do, try not to make it into a stereotypical book.

COMMENTS;;
------ The good...
I like this character a lot! He was very interesting to read about, and very creative. What I'm seeing here is a dragon who's ordinary in all the right ways, and unique in others - and very balanced, too. You've been sparing in dishing out tragedy, and those little bits you've allowed to escape have been accounted for in some way in his personality or relationships with other dragons. You've also included quite a bit of detail, and really brought this dragon out. Excellent job!

------ The bad...
The only thing I can really speak about, you've already acknowledged: his backstory is a little stereotypical. However, I wouldn't recommend changing it too drastically, since you seem to be aware of it and have incorporated it into a set of flaws. Just watch that you don't fall any further into that cliche, though.

------ How you can improve!
As I've said, watch the backstory. Focus a bit more on his personal development, and his relationship with Shadowscale. Also, an explanation for his odd physical features couldn't hurt - you don't have to include it in his backstory if you don't want to (i.e. if it includes spoilers for one of your stories, or something along those lines), but I feel like you should at least have an idea. Even if it's something as simple as scale dye and tattoos.
