Interview:

Q. Why do you read/write?

A. I do read because books are the ways to take you to a different world, which is very different from our own. It is a way to escape from the reality. And also, by reading books you become stress free and feel relieved. I do write to induce same feelings in reader's mind which I have while reading. And also I do enjoy writing because I feel like I am a part of my own story, the characters are my friends and families, and the world is my own home where I am the ruler.

Q. What genre of books you don't prefer to read? And why?

A. There's no genre which I don't prefer. Every genre has their own importance, has their own ways to entertain the readers

Q. What inspired you to write the story you are working on? (Or) How did you get the idea?

A. My source of inspiration were the harry potter series, though I started writing since my childhood. One day I had a dream about a river flowing through a frost covered forest. And that dream lead me to the primary plot of this present novel.

Q. How do you plan the plot?

A. When I did start to write, I didn't have a plot in my mind. I was so excited to find wattpad that I put the first chapter here without even thinking how would the story proceed. Afterwards, I combined the ideas of my previous planned novel and ideas came flowing by. I don't plan the entire plot at a time. With whatever ideas I have, I start to write and ideas comes flowing.

Q. The names you selected for the characters are very uncommon. Are they your own creation?

A. No, not all the uncommon names are my own creation. One of my friends' contribution is there as well, behind naming my characters.

Q. Prose is not the only style of writing but you include poetry too. Does writing poetry comes instantly to you?

A. Poetry doesn't come instantly. I feel poetry is even more harder to write than prose. So it takes time to create a poetry

Q. Are you planning a sequel? If so, how many part did you plan?

A. Yes, I am planning sequels. I don't know how many sequels I will need to put all of my ideas, but atleast I will be adding more than three sequels to the existing one.

Q. Where do you see your story in ten years?

A. Ten years is a long time and anything can happen within that. Yet I wish to see my stories getting published and reaching to every possible corners of the world.

Q. Who is you fav character in your story? And why?

A. Manmohini is my favorite character from my story. In a way, she is the center of attraction in the community, not only because of her lovely looks, but because of her daring nature. If you dare to speak against her, you face the wrath. These all qualities makes her my favorite.

Q. Do you relate to any of the characters in your story?

A. I can relate myself to Rudra, of whom I didn't write much till now. He is the xerox copy of my childhood. Fearful, slender, slightly bent upper half of the body, walking style, all these special qualities were once mine, now replaced by him.

Q. If there is one thing you would want to change in your story what it would be?

A. There's a lot of things I want to change in the story as because it's only my first draft. Yet, the most important change would be the way my male protagonist got transformed into a rakshasa.

Q. If not fantasy, what genre of book would you prefer to write? Do you have any story in your mind right now?

A. If not fantasy, I would prefer to write romance and mysteries. There's few novels in my mind right now amongst which the romantic one is the primary focus.

Q. Who is your favorite author? And why? (On and off Wattpad)

A. I didn't read much stories in wattpad, so no comments about it. And out of wattpad, my two favorite authors are J.K Rowling and Philip Pullman. I treat J.K Rowling as goddess of fantasy literature. There's everything in her story; love, friendship, betrayal, and all the other things required to make a story beautiful. Her wide imagination inspired me to a great extent. And there is Philip Pullman, whose dark materials trilogy is the only series I would remember forever.

Q. If you get a chance to meet your fav author what question would you like to ask?

A. If I meet J.K Rowling, I would like to take advices from her about the development of a story, how to make a plot intriguing, unique, descriptive and fast paced all at the same time.

Q. Why are you on Wattpad?

A. I am in wattpad because I have unlimited access to good books free of cost. Also, its a community where you come in touch with a lot of other authors, share each other's thinking and learn a lot in the way. Here you are exposed to the world of the authors, which helps in the long run in various ways.

Q. Tell me your experiences in Wattpad? (likes and dislikes)

A. As I said, wattpad is the platform where you meet authors from various places and gain knowledge, which is very useful. Also most of the people here are willing to help you, which helps in various ways. Coming to dislikes, I can say that many of the popular books here did become popular on the basis of number of contacts, not on the basis of good writing skills. That won't help the authors in the long run. Because no one is there to make them realize their faults, without realizing which the authors would continue to repeat the same mistakes again and again. And I believe everyone do mistakes, not a few but many.

Q. What advice would you like to give to an aspiring writer? (One aspiring writer to another)

A. Never give up, believe in yourself because the more you loose hopes, more obstructions comes into your path. When you find out about your interests in writing, believe that there's a great author living within you. All you need is proper skills to utilize the author within yourself. Read lots of books, rewrite the previously written chapters, try to learn from great authors and pour your heart and soul into your work. Don't worry about perfection, because it's coming to you slowly, just got itself struck in a traffic jam for the moment!
