Plot: You wake up in the middle of the night due to a nightmare and go to Wrecker for cuddles

On the outside, Wrecker looks big and scary if you mess with him. On the inside, tho, he's a literal teddy bear and will comfort you if you're sad.

"No, get away from me." You mumbled in your sleep.

You tossed and turned as you fought whatever was in your mind terrorizing you. Your breathing started to quicken as you trembled from the images displaying in your brain. Just then, you shot your eyes open and immediately sat up, breathing heavily. You looked around the room to see any sort of danger but there was nothing. You brought your knees to your chest and hugged them, scared out of your mind. You desperately wanted to sleep but you didn't want the nightmare to return. You thought maybe being with someone might help you, so you carefully got out of bed and stepped out of your room. You went towards the nearest room, which happened to be Wrecker's and Echo's shared room after you went inside. You quietly walked over to Wrecker and managed to keep your steps quiet to not wake Echo. As if sensing you, Wrecker slowly woke up seeing you.

"I had a nightmare, can I stay here?" You asked quietly, shaking.

His face softened upon seeing the fear you had in your eyes.

"Of course, here." He replied, lifting up his blanket.

You carefully crawled underneath it and cuddled into Wrecker as he draped the blanket over you. You pressed yourself as closely as you could against Wrecker as a way to feel safe. He then wrapped his arms around you carefully in a comforting manner. You became less scared as he slowly rubbed your back to calm you down, which actually helped. Soon, you fell asleep with Wrecker's arms still around holding you through the night.

Wrecker stared at your beautiful face as you were still asleep. He woke up an hour ago and didn't want to wake you, so he didn't move. He smiled as you cuddled closer to him subconsciously. You mumbled something in your sleep and Wrecker became curious to what you said.

"I love you, Wrecker." You mumbled and smiled.

If he could, he would burst out excitedly and hug you tightly but he didn't so he didn't accidentally wake you. Instead, he carefully pulled you closer and gently placed a kiss on your head. Still asleep, you smiled wider and breathed softly as your brain let you have a good dream. Then, a knock was heard at the door and Wrecker looked up to see Hunter slowly walking in.

"Is (Y/n) in here? I didn't see you or her this morning." He said quietly.

Wrecker used his free arm and pointed down at you next to him.

"She had a nightmare last night and she came in here." He whispered.

Hunter saw you and nodded his head in understanding before quietly leaving the room. He looked back down at you just as you were opening your eyes, yawning in the process. You rubbed your eyes and looked up to see Wrecker smiling at you.

"Morning." You mumbled tiredly.

"Morning, dear." He says softly.

You blushed lightly at the nickname and brought up a hand, placing it on the side of his face. He leaned his forehead against yours and you both closed your eyes in content, enjoying each other's presence.

"I wish we could stay like this all day." You whispered.

"Me, too." He agreed.

Your smile didn't falter as you reached up and pecked his nose, giggling slightly as he scrunched his nose. If possible, he pulled you closer and snuggled into the crook of your neck. You then saw his face light up and he slowly sat up with you still in his arms.

"What are you doing?" You asked.

"You'll see." Wrecker answered.

He detached himself from you before looking underneath his bunk. You watched him curiously as he shuffled around with the items under his bunk. He then pulled out what looked like a music player and stood up.

"Whoa, where did you get that?" You asked with wonder.

"Oh, we had it sitting in our old room and I had Tech fix it up." He replied.

He then placed it next to you and pressed the play button on the top. A soft and slow melody started to play and Wrecker took your hands, pulling off the bed. You stood up and looked up at him as you two started to move to the beat slowly. He twirled you gently then you heard the lyrics.

What's wrong?

He took you in his arms forming a hug and you wrapped your arms around him. You took a deep breath as you leaned your head against his chest, swaying to the song.

Closing your eyes, you sang the next part of the song.

You giggled softly as Wrecker twirled you again and took your hands, slow dancing to the end of the song. You both hummed in sync as the song came to an end and looked at each other, smiling. He pulled in for another hug and this time, he picked you up and you wrapped your arms around his neck as you both leaned your forehead against one another.

"I love you, Wrecker." You said, closing your eyes in content.

"I love you, too, cyar'ika." He said back and smiled.

He was beyond happy that you love him and you were beyond happy that he loves you. Moments like this with him were pure bliss and you wouldn't have it any other way.

Bonus:

Omega smiled at the sight of you and Wrecker and went back her little room. She grabbed a piece of paper and her art box(yes, she has one, u can't change my mind) then placed the items in front of her. She started to draw you and Wrecker holding hands with smiling faces. She then used the right colors and colored what she drew so far. Then she grabbed a red and pink crayon and drew little hearts around you two. After coloring one more heart, she put her materials away and held up her finished drawing.

"Hey, kid, what're you doing?" She heard a voice say.

Omega looked over to see Hunter sitting next to her with a smile. She smiled widely and showed her drawing to him.

"Look what I drew!" She exclaimed excitedly.

Hunter carefully took the paper from her and couldn't help but smile wider.

"Looks great, kid." He complimented and gave the drawing back.

"Thanks!" Omega exclaimed as she took her drawing.

After seeing the drawing of you and Wrecker, Hunter decided to make sure you two would get some alone time after every mission.
