(No ones p.o.v.)

Commander Wolffe and his squad had come back from a successful mission. He congratulated the pack and dismissed them to give a report on the mission to the Generals. And he was unusually happy today.

"Is there something wrong with the Commander? He's smiling and that's not like him." Comet asks Boost.

"It's mostly because he gets to see his favorite medic." Boost replied.

"But doesn't he have a personal medic?"

"Yep. She's his favorite medic."

"Oh, so (Y/n) is his favorite medic. It's nice that someone is able to get him to smile like that."

"Truly a miracle. Anyways, did you see the way we ambushed those clankers?"

>Now to Wolffe<

He was currently walking to the briefing room to give his report to the Generals. Wolffe closed his eyes and thought about the good things in his life. Of course, you were the first thing to appear in his mind. Later that day, he was planning to ask you to be his girlfriend. His smile grew wider, if possible, by just thinking about it. As if right on que, he snapped out of his thoughts as he arrived to the briefing room. He knocked on the door and heard a faint 'come in' by General Koon(papa Plo👌). Wolffe walked in to see the three Generals discussing the next mission.

"Greetings, Commander. I take it that your mission went well?" asked General Koon.

"Yes, sir. It was a success." Wolffe replied. He then began to explain their success.

>After the briefing<

Wolffe walked out of the room and started down the hallway. He became lost in thought during his walk. He thought about many ways of asking you, not sure of what to do. As he neared the medical wing, he decided to be straightforward to get it over with. He walked in and saw you next to a hospital bed organizing your tools. He knocked on the open door and leaned against the doorway. You looked up and smiled when you saw your favorite Commander leaning in the doorway.

"What can I do for you, Wolffe?" You asked sweetly.

Oh, how he loved it when you said his name.

"Oh, uh, not much. Just checking up on my medic." He replied.

"Oh really? I doubt that's why you're here." You said.

"Can't a Commander just check in on his medic?"

"I suppose he can. But seriously, what's the real reason why you're here?"

"I, um, came to ask you something."

"Okay, well, ask away."

"Will you be, uh, kriff how do I say this?"

"It's okay, take your time."

"Will you be my-"

Before he could finish, your boss had called you to the back.

"Damn, um, can you wait here a second?" You asked.

"Yeah, sure." Wolffe replied, uncertain.

You walked to where your boss had called you to see what was wrong. He blamed his nervousness because he couldn't ask a simple question. Well, it might have been a simple question but it was hard to ask. He patiently waited for you to get back so he can ask you again and hopefully not so nervous this time. He waited and waited, but he started to hear yelling, where you were from. He walked to see what was happening, to see if you were okay. And what he heard, made him stop in his tracks.

"You're discharged, you no longer work here."

Wolffe could not believe his ears. He grew angry and was about to walk in there until you spoke up.

"What?! I've worked here for 10 kriffing years and you're telling me to just throw it all away for nothing?!" You yelled.

"I know that this is a shock for you, but you're unfit for this job." Your boss said, calmly.

"The hell you mean I'm 'unfit for the job'?! You had the time to tell me that when you hired me! Please, you can't do this to me." at this point, you began to cry.

"I'm sorry, but you're discharged."

"You're not kriffing sorry. You never were."

You ran out, but Wolffe gently grasped your wrist, stopping you. You didn't dare look at him, knowing you'd feel more pain.

"Wolffe, I'm sorry that you had to hear all that. I only hope that you live your best life, without me." You said, not looking at him.

You pulled away and walked out, after grabbing your belongings.

'You're the best part of my life, I just wish you could see that.' Wolffe thought sadly, shedding a single tear.

It was at that exact moment, that you both had went your separate ways.

Wolffe was not himself anymore. He hardly spoke to anyone, barely ate and showed no emotion on his face. No one dared to speak to him, in fear of getting yelled at. He only communicated through holotext, which he would sometimes receive messages from his General, his squad and hopefully, you. Some say that he had become a hallow shell when his dear medic got discharged. At most times, he would never even come out of the barracks. He would be asleep, dreaming about you and calling your name. Then when he woke up, you wouldn't be there. He wished that he should've asked you sooner. He wanted to turn back to when you weren't discharged and ask you. He was just too scared of taking rejection. Lost in thought, he received a message from one of his squad members, Comet.

Comet☄️: Hey, uh, me and the boys are heading to 79's for drinks. Would you like to come with us? You don't have to if you don't want to.

Maybe he should go out for some drinks, they'll probably help clear his head.

Wolffe: Sure. I'll be out in a minute.

He turned off his holopad and stood up. He really needed to clear his head. Maybe, just maybe, he would be able to think straight. He walked out of the barracks and towards the location where the speeders were. He received a few looks while walking but they looked away. His squad looked at him but Wolffe had already gotten on a speeder bike and sped off. The rest looked at each other and took off after him, not before getting on the speeder bikes.

It felt like it had been a long time, but only five minutes passed. In a matter of seconds, Wolffe had arrived at 79's and waited for the others. The others arrived two minutes later and got off their speeders. Without a moments hesitation, Wolffe walked into the bar with the Pack trailing behind him. He sat at an empty booth that was soon taken over by the Wolfpack. He sat in an outside seat so he could have easy access to come and go. Boost had ordered a round of shots for them and waited. An uncomfortable silence had filled the air and almost suffocated everyone(imagery people, take notes). Sinker decided to break the silence by giving Boost a dare.

"Hey, Boost. I dare you to sing the next song that plays on the jukebox." Sinker dared Boost.

"What? No way, I'm not doing that!" Boost practically yelled.

"Aw, why not? Are you too chicken to go up there?"

"Ugh, fine. But if it's a song I don't like I'm not singing it."

"Alright, just so you know I won't be able to stop teasing you about it!"

Boost stood up and made his way to the jukebox to see the next song that will play. When he saw the next song, he immediately turned around and walked back to the booth.

"Nope. Not doing it." said Boost, sitting down.

"Aw, why not?" Comet asked sadly(uh, excuse me? who r u to make Comet sad?).

"It's a song by Journey and I don't like that band."

"You did not just kriffing say that?!" Sinker yelled, slamming his fists on the table.

"Oh, but I did." Boost smirked.

"You take that back. Journey is most likely one of the best bands out there! Others would agree with me." (totally not breaking the fourth wall *cough*).

"I'll do it, if it means you both shut up." Wolffe said, standing up.

He walked away and the others looked at him in shock. He got to the jukebox and saw what the next would be playing. The song was Separate Ways by Journey.

'Perfect.' He thought.

He walked up on a small stage and took hold of the microphone. Then, the song started(play song now).

Here we stand
World's apart, hearts broken in two, two, two
Sleepless nights
Losing ground, I'm reaching for you, you, you

Feeling that it's gone
Can't change your mind
If we can't go on
To survive the tide, love divides

Someday, love will find you
Break those chains that bind you
One night will remind you
How we touched and went our separate ways

If he ever hurts you
True love won't desert you
You know I still love you
Though we touched and went our separate ways

No one was expecting for Wolffe to be so into it. But then again, he has his reasons.

Troubled times
Caught between confusion and pain, pain, pain
Distant eyes
Promises we made were in vain, in vain, in vain

If you must go, I wish you love
You'll never walk alone
Take care, my love
Miss you, love

Someday, love will find you
Break those chains that bind you
One night will remind you
How we touched and went our separate ways

If he ever hurts you
True love won't desert you
You know I still love you
Though we touched and went our separate ways

Literally and absolutely no one was expecting the stone cold commander to be so emotional.

'I think I know who this song is about.' Boost thought.

"Hey, Sinker, you know his medic that got discharged a while back?"

"Uh, yeah, what about her?" Sinker asked.

"I think that's who he's singing about."

"Oh my god, you're right."

The conversation cut short when you decided to walk in the bar. The squad looked at you and saw the way you looked now. Your hair was disheveled, your face was pale and you had dark bags under your eyes. You walked to an empty table and sat down. You looked up and saw that it was Wolffe on the stage. You never thought he'd be singing. You took in his appearance and looked just as bad as you. The music was still playing as he glanced at the audience, noticing you within his vision. You two locked eyes and time seemed to slow down. You started to cry and casted your head down, not wanting to look at him to cause more pain. He couldn't bear to see the sight of you crying.

He continued to sing.

Oh
Someday, love will find you
Break those chains that bind you
One night will remind you

He walked to where you were.

If he ever hurts you
True love won't desert you
You know I still love you

He gently put a hand on your cheek, wiping away a tear.

I still love you, girl
I really love you, girl
And if he ever hurts you
True love won't desert you

No
No

As the song comes to an end, you leaned into his touch. You were quite starved for physical affection, as your current boyfriend only hurt you. You finally gained the courage to look up at him and saw the pain in his eyes.

"I-I'm s-sorry." You quietly stuttered, but he heard it.

"No, it's not your fault. I should've told you sooner about how I felt." He said softly.

You stood up and hugged him tightly like he was going to disappear forever. He didn't take a moment and hugged back. You kept apologizing profusely and Wolffe shushed you and said you didn't need to apologize.

"P-Please help m-me." You whispered.

He immediately became concerned and took you to his table away from prying eyes. You saw the others but you kept your attention on him.

"Cyar'ika, what's wrong?" He asked.

"I-It's Caal, he- he-" You stuttered, still hugging him.

"Shh, it's okay, I'm here." He reassured, not letting you go.

He knew exactly who you were talking about. You've only messaged him once and it was about your current boyfriend. As if he had heard his name, that son of a bitch- *ahem* I mean, Caal walked in and looked around. He seemed to be looking for someone. Wolffe took a defensive stance in front of you as an attempt to shield you. Caal walked up to him.

"Excuse me, have you seen a girl with worn out clothes and messy hair?" He asked.

"No, I have not seen a girl who looks like that." Wolffe replied, trying not to kill the man.

"Oh, okay."

He walked away with some suspicion on the commander. Wolffe turned around and hugged you once more. You quickly hugged him back, feeling safe and secure in himself arms.

"Here, sit down. I'll get you something to eat and drink." He said, letting you go.

You nodded and sat down next to Comet. Wolffe walked away to get you something to eat and you missed his touch. You didn't look away from your fiddling hands until someone at the table spoke up.

"So, uh, you're (Y/n), right?" Boost asked.

"Yeah, that's me. It's nice to see you again, how have you guys been?" You said, smiling for the first time in a while.

"We've been doing well, but Wolffe isn't doing to good."

"Yeah, he completely shut down the day after you left, wasn't himself for a while." Sinker said.

You honestly felt guilty when he said those words. You should've messaged him at least two or three times, but your boyfriend wouldn't let you. You were about to say something but a voice you didn't want to hear spoke up.

"(Y/n), stay right where you are!"

Now really wasn't the time as tears welled in your eyes. Caal walked your way and harshly grabbed your arm.

"Ow, stop you're hurting me!" You practically yelled.

"Well, maybe if you didn't sneak out, we wouldn't be in this situation." He said sternly, dragging you.

"I'd never be in any situation with you if I just kriffing leave you!" Your tears started pouring.

"Leave me? Where are you gonna go? You don't have any credits!"

"Let her go." said a stone cold voice.

You and Caal turned around to see Wolffe standing with his arms crossed and a very angry expression on his face. While Caal was distracted, you yanked your arm out of his hold and ran to Wolffe and hugged him, still crying.

"Pft, and who are you supposed to be?" Caal scoffed.

"Oh, me? I'm just her best friend of 11 years." Wolffe seethed.

Caal suddenly became intimidated, but didn't let it show. You gained the courage to speak and is was directed at Caal.

"We're done, Caal. I never want to see you again." You said hatefully and sat in the booth.

His face seemed to be stricken with shock. He almost said something but Wolffe cracked his knuckles and glared at him. He slowly backed up and ran out of the bar, not wanting to get beaten. Wolffe sat down next to you and pushed over the food he set down. You hastily scarfed it all up, taking a few drinks here and there.

"Whoa, calm down there, tiger! You don't wanna choke on your food!" Wolffe laughed.

"Heh, sorry. It's just that I haven't eaten in a while." You said.

"Well, what are you gonna do now, since you dumped him."

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe go back with you guys. I don't really have much here anyways."

Wolffe's eyes lit up when you suggested that you'd go back with them. You giggled at the action and finished up your food.

"Hey, uh, can I ask you something since I didn't get to last time?" Wolffe asked nervously.

"Sure, go for it!" You exclaimed.

"Alrighty, then. Sinker, Comet, let's skedaddle on out of here." Boost said.

"Aw,  I wanna hear what he has to say!" Comet exclaimed, getting up.

"It's okay, buddy. We'll be able to know soon." Sinker reassured.

The three had left the bar and it was just you and Wolffe in the booth, alone.

"Um, what was it that you were going to ask?" You inquired.

"Oh, right. Uh, will you be my, um-" He tried saying.

"You're still having trouble trying to ask me that question? I have an answer for you anyway."

You straddled his hips and gave him a passionate kiss on the lips. He lost his concentration but quickly regained it and wrapped his arms around your waist, deepening the kiss. You never wanted to pull away, but the need for air became too much. You both pulled away and gasped for air.

"I hope that answers your question." You said, wrapping your arms around his neck.

"Oh, it does and we can continue this later." He said, smirking.

You laughed. "I'm fine with that."

You two sat there for a few moments, enjoying each other's presence. With no warning, Wolffe stood up with you still on his arms. You freaked out and quickly wrapped your legs around his waist to balance yourself(r u sure that is why?).

"Hey, warn me next time!" You exclaimed.

"Whoops, sorry." He said sarcastically.

You heard the sarcasm in his voice and you mentally groaned. He pushed the bar door open with his back and walked to his speeder, still holding you.

"You know I can I walk, right?" You asked.

"You can right now, but you won't be able to after tonight." Wolffe said with a suggestive smirk.

"I- um- uh-"

You blushed furiously as you tried to come up with something to say. You tried to think of other things but you couldn't and kept thinking about what he said. You were brought out of your thoughts when he set you on his speeder in front of him. He put his arms around you and grabbed onto the handles.

"You ready?" He asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be." You replied.

He twisted the handle and the two of you sped off. You wrapped your arms around his neck and laughed in excitement. Wolffe looked at your smiling face and thought, 'Out of all the girls, it had to be you.'

And it was at that moment, you two would never let each other go.
