You wandered around the clone barracks looking for one of your best friends, Ahsoka. She wanted to hang out with you but you couldn't find her, so you asked around. Most troopers didn't know where she was but thankfully one of them told you that she was in the mess hall. All happy for some reason, you made your way through the corridors and in the direction of the mess hall. You saw the doors in view and walked through them then looked around for Ahsoka. You saw her sitting a table and went over to her, sitting across from her.

"Hey, 'Soka." You said with a smile.

She looked up at you and smiled. "Hey, (N/n)."

"Whatcha doing?"

"Making a friendship bracelet."

"Oh, who for?"

"You'll see."

You began to wonder who it was for but couldn't think of who she would give it to. You reached over and picked out some orange, white, and black beads, deciding to make one for Cody.

You walked down the corridor with Ahsoka as you held the bracelet you made.

"Who did you make that bracelet for?" She asks, now seeing the object in your hand.

"Only if you tell me who you made yours for." You replied, smirking.

"Ha, not a chance."

She didn't continue to ask and kept walking, talking about something else. Too busy chatting, you two didn't realize that you arrived in the hangar and saw Captain Rex not far from you two. Ahsoka grabbed your hand and rushed over to him, all giddy. You were startled by the sudden action but kept up with her no less.

"Hello Captain." You greeted him after approaching him.

"Hello, generals, what can I do for you?" He asked with a smile.

"I made this friendship bracelet for you!" Ahsoka said excitedly, holding up the blue and white bracelet she made.

You were surprised that she made it for him. You then looked up to see a look of slight confusion on Rex's face.

"You know, I'm not really a jewelry person." Rex said awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck.

"Oh...it's okay you don't have to wear it." Ahsoka said, slightly sad.

Hearing her say this, Rex snatched the bracelet from her and said, "No, I'm gonna wear it forever, back off."

This made Ahsoka smile widely and immediately hugged the captain, startling him. He hugged back and she pulled away, super happy.

"Thanks, Rex! We'll see you later!" She exclaimed and grabbed your hand.

"Bye, Rex!" You managed to shout before leaving the hangar with your friend.

A smile spread across Rex's features and looked down at small thing Ahsoka gave him.

"Heh." He breathed out, slipping on the bracelet.

You and Ahsoka walked down the corridor towards the bridge. You teased her about the whole bracelet thing and she tried to get you to stop as she smiled.

"So, who did you make yours for?" She asked, somewhat changing the subject.

"Why do you want to know that?" You asked.

You two approached the bridge and the blast doors opened, both of you stepping in.

"Well, it's only fair since you saw me give mine to Red." She said, shrugging.

"Alright, uh, I'm giving mine to-" you began.

You were interrupted by Cody not-so subtly laughing at Rex, he had an annoyed expression.

"Rex," Cody started, still laughing, "what are you wearing?"

"It's none of your damn business." Rex growled, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Just as he said this, generals Kenobi and Skywalker stepped inside the room.

"He actually wore it, yay!" Ahsoka shouted excitedly.

"Who wore what?" You all heard the voice of General Skywalker.

"Ole Rexter here has himself a friendship bracelet." Cody states, bringing up Rex's arm for proof.

"Hey!" Rex shouted and yanked his arm back.

"A friendship bracelet?" Kenobi thought for a moment and said, "oh....I have one of those."

Now, this stunned literally everyone. Well, those who heard it were stunned. But apparently, not everyone was shocked.

"And you never told me?!" Cody asked, offended.

You had to cover your mouth to keep yourself from laughing at Cody's offended tone. You turned away from the others and couldn't help but laugh silently. Remembering you made one for him, you calmed yourself down and walked up to Cody, tapping on his arm.

"Hm?" He hummed and looked down at you.

"Um, here," you pulled out the bracelet you made for him, "I made this for you."

You held up an orange, white, and black beaded bracelet and smiled. Slowly, he took it and smiled back, astonishment evident in his eyes.

"Ah," he says, slipping on the bracelet. "(Y/n) is my new best friend now, General."

"Cody..." Kenobi's voice trailed off.

"No, she made me a friendship bracelet, so she's my new best friend."

This went on for about another five minutes and you couldn't help but smile.

You walked down the corridor and laughed just as Waxer told a hilarious joke, Boil only groaning in annoyance.

"Y'know, I think you should become a comedian after the war." You told Waxer.

"You really think so?" He asked, hopeful.

"Yeah, you'd be a great comedian!"

"That is if he doesn't bore the audience to death first." Boil scoffed.

"C'mon, you're just jealous of me being called a future comedian."

You let out a stressed sigh as the two started to bicker then saw Cody walked up to you three.

"General, may I have a word with you?" He asked.

"Of course." You said then turned to Boil and Waxer, "you boys go ahead, I'll catch up with you two later."

They both nodded their heads before leaving you and the commander alone. You turned back to Cody and saw that his arm was up.

"Hey, you're still wearing the bracelet." You said and smiled.

"Heh, yeah, I left it on ever since you gave it to me." He said, returning the smile. "Now I'm curious, why did you make me this?"

"I wouldn't have made it if we weren't best friends."

"We're....best friends?"

"Of course we are, silly!" You punched him playfully.

"Okay, I think I get it."

You thought for a moment before getting excited.

"Ooh, we should make a blanket fort in my room!" You exclaimed.

"Aren't you a little old for that?" Cody asked, chuckling.

"When has that ever stopped me?"

"Never, I guess."

"Let's go then!"

You grabbed his hand and practically dragged him to where your room was. Upon arriving, you gathered all the blankets you could find in your room and started to build a fort with the help of Cody.

Being best friends with you was probably one the best things that he's experienced. Hopefully, just hopefully, the relationship will grow into something more meaningful.
