501st/SisterPt2

This will still mention other clones but will revolve around the 501st since you're part of that squad.

The Republic Gunship you were on landed on the surface of Geonosis to intercept Separatist communication. Blocking their transmission was the easy part, but making sure you're not known was the hard part. Rex signalled you, Jesse, Echo and Fives to move forward to scout the area ahead. You realized that the area was too quiet for your liking.

'Something's not right.' You thought.

"All clear, sir." Jesse commed the captain as he continued walking.

"Great job, you four. Let's move out, men!" Captain Rex exclaimed.

You scanned the area one last time just to be sure and saw a gleam at a high place. You started to run towards Jesse to warn him.

"Jesse, wait!" You yelled.

He turned around only to get sniped in the shoulder. He cried out in pain as he fell to the ground and you rushed towards him as Fives called for medical help. You managed to drag him behind a boulder so he didn't take anymore hits. You took off his shoulder piece and applied pressure to the wound before Kix got here.

"Stay with me, brother." You said.

"Heh, nothing can get rid of me that easily." Jesse said cockily.

"Kix, how far are you?" Fives asked through comms.

"I'm almost there." He replied.

As if on cue, he turned a corner and headed in your direction. He slid to a stop and landed on his knees, taking off his backpack. He opened in and took out a bacta patch to apply it to Jesse's wound.

"How did this happen?" Kix asked you, tending to Jesse's wound.

"I saw a gleam at a sniping position and tried to warn him, but thankfully he didn't get shot in the head." You answered.

Captain Rex and the rest of the 501st arrived to your position and crouched behind a nearby boulder. Soon, there were blaster bolts firing in your general direction in attempt to shoot the squad.

"It's an ambush, they knew we were coming!" exclaimed Echo.

You and Hardcase locked glances and nodded your heads. You two prepared a thermal detonator and threw them over the boulders you were hiding behind. A few seconds passed when a loud boom was heard where you threw them. You stepped out and whipped out your dual DC-17's and blasted the few remaining droids. Not forgetting the sniper, you aimed your pistol at the droid and shot it down.

'So much for an ambush.' You thought as the rest came out from behind cover.

"Good work out there, soldier." Rex praised as he sat a hand on your shoulder.

"Just doing my duty, sir." You said, smiling under your helmet.

You and the rest of the squad continued forward to complete the mission.

<After the mission>

You sighed in exhaustion as you stepped off the gunship and you slipped off your helmet. The mission happened to be a success even though there were some complications. Captain Rex congratulated you all and dismissed you to the mess hall while he went to report the missions success. Kix was helping Jesse get to the medbay for further examination on his wounds.

"How 'bout we hit the bar to celebrate a job well done." Fives suggested.

"I'm in, what do ya say, (Y/n)?" Hardcase elbowed you.

"I guess, someone has to get you guys home." You agreed.

They all cheered at your approval and Fives dragged you to one of the speeders. You nearly fell but managed to keep yourself up right.

"Calm down, Fives!" You laughed.

"I can't, this is your first time getting out of the barracks with us!" He exclaimed excitedly.

He was right, this is your first time leaving the barracks for once. You never left with them to celebrate the recent victories. You were constantly afraid for some reason but with your brothers, that fear goes away. Fives got on the speeder and started it before turning to you.

"You ready?" He asked as he held a hand out.

"I sure am." You said, taking it.

He hoisted you onto the speeder behind him and you wrapped your arms around his torso. With that, he sped off with the others not too far ahead. You took a deep breath as you felt the breeze rush past your face. After about two minutes, you and your brothers arrived at 79s. Fives slowed the speeder to a stop and got off before helping you down. You smiled at his kindness towards you and you walked with him into the bar. The moment you stepped into the bar, the stench of alcohol filled your nose and almost made you want to vomit but you managed. Fives and few others went to get drinks while you, Echo and Dogma sat in an empty booth.

"I can understand why you didn't want to come with us all those other times. I probably wouldn't come here if I were you." said Dogma.

"One, I didn't want all the attention and two, it's the drunks I hate the most about bars." You said.

"Yeah, they're the worst but if you're a clone like us then they'll stay away."

"I agree, but I'm going to make sure that Fives and the others aren't drunk as hell right now." Dogma stood up and said he'll be back.

"I need to use the refresher real quick, will you be okay here by yourself?" Echo asked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine, maybe." You laughed lightly at the last word.

"Alright, be back in a few."

"Okay, I'll be here."

With that, Echo went to use the refresher and left you alone. You rested your head against your arms on the table and took deep breaths. You took advice from General Kenobi that taking deep breaths was a great way to calm down and he was right. You lifted your head and slouched a little, fiddling with your hands. Just then, someone sat next to you. Thinking it was Echo, you turned to him before speaking.

"Hey, what's- uh, who are you?" You asked startled by the stranger sitting next to you.

"I saw you sitting here all alone and I couldn't pass the chance of meeting a thing like you." the Twi'lek said.

"Please, get away from me. My brothers won't like what you're doing." You started to scoot away from him.

"Oh, I'm sure they won't mind." He started to advance.

"No, I'm pretty sure they will."

At this point, you were mentally freaking out because this stranger approached you. You scooted further away from him but stopped when your back hit the wall. You turned your head to the side as he brought his face closer to yours.

"P-Please, stop." You stuttered.

"We can do this the easy way or the hard way." the Twi'lek said.

"Or you can just back off before I beat your ass." a familiar voice said.

You looked to see who the voice belonged to and saw that it was Fives and the rest of the 501st. Their faces held anger- correction, pure rage and it didn't go by unnoticed.

"You better listen to him because he doesn't like what you're doing to his vod right now." Echo said.

While the Twi'lek was distracted, you took the chance to quickly climb over the table and out of the booth. You reached your arms out and desperately clung to Hardcase, scared out of your mind. He instantly became concerned and hugged you as a way to comfort you. Fives grabbed the shirt collar of the stranger and got dangerously close to his face.

"If I see you doing that to my sister again, I'll make sure that they'll never find your dead body." Fives threatened.

Instantly, the Twi'lek became afraid and struggled to get out of the clones death grip. Fives turned and threw him to ground harshly.

"Now get lost." He hissed.

The stranger quickly stood up and ran away. Then he suddenly became worried about you.

"Are you okay?" He asked you.

"I... I-" You started but stopped.

"Shh, it's okay, you're okay." Echo shushed you and gently patted your back.

You took deep breaths to calm your rapid breathing and became more aware of your surroundings.

"Take her back to the barracks, Echo. Well be right behind you." Fives said.

Echo nodded his head and pried you off of Hardcase, helping you out of the bar. You both got outside and headed over to a speeder. Echo got on the speeder before helping you sit behind him. You hugged him as he started the engine and slowly took off. You laid your head against his back as he steered the speeder towards the barracks. You sighed softly and your eyes grew heavy and you let them slip close.

<A few hours later>

You and a few others from the 501st were fighting off battle droids. One of the officers you guys rescued suggested that the ship is the best way of escape.

"Echo, I need you to secure the ship!" General Skywalker shouted.

"Yes, sir!" Echo shouted back.

"I'll cover you!" You yelled.

Echo went to secure the ship as you shot every droid that was aiming at him. You then saw a commando droid operating one of the turrets and aimed it at the ship.

"Echo, wait!" You yelled.

Before he could respond, the ship blew up with him on it. You fearfully stared the pile of debris that was once a ship.

"ECHO!" You cried out.

You stood up and went to rush towards the debris but stopped when you were grabbed. You struggled to get out of the persons hold, sobbing as you did so.

"Let me go! I need to save him!" You shouted.

"(Y/n)-" Fives started.

"Fives, please, I-"

"(Y/n), he's gone, there's nothing we can do."

The moment those words left his lips, you stopped struggling and sank to the ground crying with Fives still holding you.

"W-Why, it's n-not fair!" You sobbed.

"I know, but we need to go." Fives said softly.

You nodded your head and stood up with him. Before you left, you turned to look at the debris again and saw that Echo's helmet was a few feet away from it. You quickly grabbed it before rushing off to the rendezvous point with the others.

"ECHO!" You shouted as you jolted awake.

You looked around and saw that you were back at the barracks laying in bed. You quickly looked around for Echo as a few tears slipped from your eyes. You sighed in relief as you saw him sleeping peacefully in his bunk. That didn't stop you from crying though, so you got out of bed and decided to go for a walk. You quietly closed the door and started to walk down the corridor. You thought back to your nightmare and cried more, not knowing when this was going to happen. Bringing yourself back to reality, you weren't paying attention to where you were going and found yourself just outside the base doors. You looked up to see a beautiful starry night sky and smiled. You sat on the ground as you still stared at the sky. You closed your eyes and took deep breaths to calm yourself.

"May I join you?" a voice asked.

You opened your eyes and turned to see Echo standing a few feet away from you.

"Yeah, I could use the company." You said and patted next to you.

He walked over and sat next to you, also looking at the stars.

"What are you doing up this early?" He asked.

"Nightmare." You simply said and hugged yourself.

"Do you...want to talk about it? You don't have to if you don't want to."

You stayed silent for a moment for speaking. For the next few minutes, you told him all about your nightmare. After you were finished, you were crying again and Echo hugged you.

"I-I don't want t-to lose you." You whispered.

"Shh, it's okay, I'll make sure to stay alive." Echo reassured.

You two stayed like this until the sun rose and you were asleep. Echo smiled and stood up with you in his arms before walking back inside. He arrived back at the barracks and walked through the door to see his brothers getting ready. He walked over to your bunk and gently placed you on the bed then covered you up.

"Hey, how is she?" Fives asked softly, setting a hand on his shoulder.

"She had a nightmare and went out for some air, but she'll be fine." Echo replied as he turned to his brother.

"We should let her stay here, she's been through a lot in the past few hours."

"I agree, I'll notify Captain Rex."

Fives nodded his head and turned away to continue to get ready. Echo notified their captain and hastily put on his armor then followed the rest of his brothers out of the room.

"You ready for our next mission, vod?" Fives asked.

"Didn't we just get back from one?" Echo inquired.

"Yeah, but they already found information for another one."

"Wow, that was fast. Do you know what it is?"

"All I know is that we're saving a Jedi general, I don't know where though."

"I'm pretty sure General Skywalker will give us more details."

"No doubt about that."

They continued to chat until they got to the briefing room. They were given more information about the mission and that they would be going to the Citadel to rescue the Jedi. Little did they know that this mission was going to be Echo's last.
