Spoilers and angst.... extreme angst

I hadn't expected it to happen. Hadn't even felt that I was in danger. But as soon as I heard the words Order 66, I felt a sharp pain in my chest and back. I slowly turned around in time to see Crosshair's gun smoking.

"Cross.... why?" I asked as I fell to the ground.

I saw the gun drop from his hands and saw him hold his head.

"Crosshair! What did you do!" Hunter yelled as he rushed to my side.

Everything quickly went dark and the last thing I saw was Tech and the others standing over me.

When I next opened my eyes Crosshair was sitting on a table. I walked up to him and saw his eyes go wide.

"(Y/n)..." he whispered before he let out a scream.

I slowly held his hand as he shut his eyes. When they next opened he seemed different as if his mind wasn't his own. He looked over at me once before standing up and walking past me.

As I watched him fight his brothers, I felt my heart stop. I felt relief as they got away. I slowly followed Cross to his room and watched him sit down with his head in his hand.

"You know, I know it's not your fault.... I know they are making you do this... and I don't blame you for killing me." I said softly.

"Go away... your nothing but a traitor." He growled out.

"No.... I won't... because I love you... and I won't give up on you." I said softly.

"Get out!" He screamed as he threw his gun at me.

"I'm not going anywhere." I said softly.

As the days turned to weeks, I thought he would never be saved. But finally Tech saved him, and he was home. I waited until Cross was alone before showing myself. He looked up and I saw tears stream down his face as he stood up and walked up to me.

"(Y/n)-"

"It's okay.... I know you didn't want to kill me." I said softly.

"I'm so sorry."

I gently touched his face and he closed his eyes.

"I love you... so much."

"I love you too... always have. Was just to scared to admit it." He whispered as he opened his eyes.

"Protect her... Omega... she means a lot to Hunter.... kind of reminds me of myself." I said with a smile.

He let out a chuckle and shook his head.

"Will I ever see you again?"

"One day.... I promise." I said as I kissed his forehead.

Time skip

I was standing in a field by myself when I heard footsteps. I let out a light laugh and turned around and smiled as I saw Crosshair walking up to me.

"You kept me waiting, Cross." I said softly.

"Thought you would get mad if I came to early." He said as he stopped a few feet in front of me.

I walked the rest of the distance to him and touched his cheek.

"True, I would be very angry if you left the boys to early."

"I missed you."

"I've always been with you." I said as I leaned up and gently kissed him.
