Angst

As soon as I heard the order, everything changed. I felt a voice in my head telling me to follow orders and not step out of line and I instantly knew something was wrong.

It was no lie that I was known to never follow orders and so when I felt my arms move on their own and I shot at the padawan, I knew I was no longer in control of my actions.

"What was that!" Hunter yelled as he glared down at me.

"Good soldiers follow orders." I said as I pushed past him.

...

We made it to Kamino and quickly asked to be scanned.

"Everything is working perfectly." The doctor said softly.

"But... I feel strange. Why did I attack threat Jedi? Why did I try to kill them?"

"Because you were ordered too, and good soldiers follow orders."

And like that, I became their puppet. I could feel myself trying to claw out, to protect my family, but I could do nothing but attack them.

"(Y/n), I don't know what has gotten into you and Cross.... but we are your family." Hunter said as he met my eyes.

"I have no family." I said as I aimed my blaster at him.

"So Echo isn't your family?"

"If he was, I wouldn't of shot him." I said calmly.

"This isn't you!"

In an instant Tech was in front of him and aiming his blaster at me.

"I don't want to kill you, but I will. You know how we all care about you. You're our sister and we would do anything to protect you... but this isn't you. This is them." Tech said softly.

I felt my hands shake as he continued to talk. I wanted so badly to protect them. To protect my brothers, but I couldn't. I felt tears stream down my face as I gripped onto the blaster.

"Tech.... I can't stop it... I can't..."

"Let me help you.... please." He said as he walked up to me.

"It hurts... Tech it hurts so badly." I said as I let out a sob.

My hand was now fully shaking and I could feel my fingers begging to pull the trigger.

Before I could do anything o heard an explosion and then everything went dark.

When I woke up I was on the ship alone in my room. I set up and shook my head before I looked around to see if anyone was there with me.

"You're awake, good. I thought we had lost you for a second." Tech said as he walked into the room.

"How's Echo?"

"It will take more than a shot to the shoulder to stop him..... how are you?"

"I am so sorry."

"It wasn't you. It was the chip. Luckily we removed yours and Crosshair's." Tech said softly.

"Then why do I still feel so strange?"

"I don't know... but you're safe." He said as he sent me a smile.

"But I'm not." I said as I felt a tear stream down my face.

...

I woke up and saw that I was back in my room on Kamino. I set up and turned my head to see Crosshair fast asleep on his cot. I shook my head and stood up.

"Good soldiers follow orders." I thought as I walked out of the room.

Soon a week past and I still couldn't shake the feeling away. I felt like I had betrayed them, and even with the chip still inside, I couldn't stop the anger and guilt from building up.

"You miss them too." A voice said from behind me.

I turned my head and saw Crosshair walk up to me.

"I wish I was with them." I said softly.

"I know the feeling. Don't worry though, we will find our way back to them. I know it." Crosshair said as he patted my shoulder.

...

I felt tears stream down my face as I gasped for air. I turned my head and saw Crosshair rushing towards my side.

"I'm here." He said as he pulled me onto his lap.

"Are they-"

"They are alive.... we all are." Crosshair whispered as he stared down at me.

"(Y/n)!" A voice yelled.

I smiled as I saw the guys and Omega rush to my side.

"I made it home.... we... made it home." I said as tears streamed down my face.

"You did.... you made it home." Echo said as he squeezed my hand.

"Just hold on, and we will get you some help." Wrecker said as he sent me a smile.

I moved my hand to his face and sent him a small smile.

"I love you all.... you're... you're my family." I whispered before everything went dark.
