Chapter 1
Chapter 1: (authors pov)
In the cozy cabin nestled in the woods, Y/N relaxed in a plush chair, her fingers idly tracing the rim of her coffee mug. The room exuded warmth with its rustic wooden interior and a soft glow from a crackling fireplace.
As Y/N engaged in a heartfelt conversation with her fiance, Abel, her eyes sparkled with excitement, narrating the intricate details of the last case she had brilliantly solved. Her legs rested casually on the coffee table, and a faint smile lingered on her lips.
Abel's voice, sweet and romantic, resonated through the phone, creating an intimate atmosphere despite the physical distance. Unbeknownst to Y/N, the man she adored had a clandestine life, a shadowy world of illegal dealings veiled beneath his facade as a successful businessman.
Abel: "You never cease to amaze me, Y/N. Your bravery is unmatched."
Y/N, sipping her coffee: "Thanks, Abel. It's all in a day's work. I wish you could see the excitement firsthand."
Abel, chuckling: "Maybe one day, love. I'd love to experience your world."
As the conversation reached its peak, the cabin door burst open with a thud. Startled, Y/N's gaze snapped towards the entrance, revealing her colleague Soyeon in a state of urgency.
Soyeon, breathless: "Y/N, we've got a situation. Headquarters just sent an urgent message."
The room's serene ambiance shattered, leaving a sense of foreboding lingering in the air. Y/N swiftly ended the call with Abel, a tinge of concern clouding her expression as she faced Soyeon.
Soyeon, her eyes filled with urgency, spoke hurriedly, "Y/N, we've got a situation. It's about the underworld, and there's intel on the most powerful mafia, Min Yoongi. Headquarters wants you on this."
Y/N, frowning slightly, leaned forward, "Soyeon, you know I'm in the middle of planning my wedding with Abel. I can't dive into this right now."
Soyeon, persistent, pleaded, "Y/N, this is serious. Min Yoongi's influence is spreading, and we need your skills. You can't just turn your back on it."
Y/N sighed, running a hand through her hair, "Soyeon, I've been pushing myself too hard lately. I need a break. My personal life matters too."
Soyeon, raising an eyebrow, insisted, "This goes beyond personal, Y/N. The agency needs you."
Y/N, resolute, shook her head, "I've made up my mind, Soyeon. I can't take on another mission right now."
Despite Soyeon's persistence, Y/N remained firm, declining the mission. Soyeon, realizing the deadlock, sighed in frustration, Think about it, Y/N. This is bigger than just us." With that, she left the room, y/n on the other hand kept thinking that she should take this case or not but she was not ready so she took another sip on her coffee proudly knowing she doesn't have to worry further her wedding would be as perfect as their relationship is.
Meanwhile.
In a dimly lit room filled with tension, Min Yoongi, the tough underground gangster, paced back and forth. His phone buzzed, breaking the eerie silence. A sharp glint flickered in his eyes as he answered a call from his secret spy.
Spy: "Boss, we've got a problem. One of our guys messed up big time. Sent the wrong supplies, bad quality."
Yoongi scowled, barking into the phone, "You've got to be kidding me. This better not be a joke."
Spy: "I wish it were, boss. It's serious. This could cost us a lot."
Yoongi slammed his hand on the table, tension escalating. "Find out who did it. I want a name, an address, everything. I don't tolerate incompetence."
The spy responded hurriedly, "I'm on it, boss. I'll get you the information ASAP."
The call ended, leaving Yoongi seething with rage. He dialed a number, summoning his personal bodyguard, a man known for loyalty and strength.
Yoongi: "Get in here now."
The door swung open, revealing Yoongi's bodyguard. Without waiting for pleasantries, Yoongi unleashed a tirade of rage.
Yoongi: "You incompetent imbecile! One of our own is jeopardizing everything with his stupidity. Find out who it is, where he lives, and bring him to me."
Bodyguard, unfazed: "Consider it done, boss. I'll get to the bottom of this."
With a swift nod, Yoongi's bodyguard exited the room, leaving the gangster alone with his thoughts. Yoongi's mind buzzed with fury, his fingers tapping rhythmically on the table. He couldn't tolerate betrayal, especially when it jeopardized his operations.
Minutes stretched into an agonizing wait, but Yoongi's patience wore thin. The door swung open, and his bodyguard returned, an air of confidence surrounding him.
Bodyguard: "Boss, I've got the information. The traitor's name is Jung Hoon. Lives on the outskirts of the city."
Yoongi's eyes flashed with intensity as he snarled, "Take me there. Now."
The ride to Jung Hoon's residence was filled with tense silence, only broken by the growl of the engine. Yoongi's mind raced with thoughts of retribution. The car screeched to a halt in front of a nondescript building, and Yoongi stormed out, his bodyguard trailing behind.
Jung Hoon's apartment door barely withstood the force of Yoongi's kick. The room inside was dimly lit, and the traitor Jung Hoon froze at the sight of the furious gangster.
Yoongi, voice dripping with venom, spat, "You thought you could betray me and get away with it?"
Jung Hoon stammered, attempting feeble excuses, but Yoongi cut him off with a menacing glare.
Yoongi: "I trusted you, and you betrayed that trust. Do you have any idea what that means?"
With each word, Yoongi's rage intensified. The room echoed with the sound of his threats, the air heavy with impending consequences. Jung Hoon trembled, realizing the gravity of his mistake.
Yoongi, in a low growl, warned, "You've messed with the wrong person, Jung Hoon. You'll pay dearly for this."
The scene unfolded like a grim tableau of power dynamics. Jung Hoon's pleas fell on deaf ears as Yoongi, the embodiment of vengeance, exacted punishment for the betrayal.
Back at his headquarters, Yoongi's fury still simmered. He addressed his underlings with a scathing tone, reminding them of the consequences of incompetence.
Yoongi: "I don't tolerate mistakes. Betray me, and you'll pay the price. This is a warning to all of you."
The air in the room grew dense as the weight of Yoongi's authority settled. The fear in his underlings' eyes was palpable, a testament to the ruthlessness that defined their leader.
As the night wore on, Yoongi retreated into the shadows, the echoes of his anger reverberating through the criminal underworld. The incident served as a brutal reminder that in Yoongi's world, betrayal was met with unrelenting force, and those who dared to cross him paid the price in full.
