As Agent Romanoff watched her partner leave for a 2 year mission in Iceland, her heart sank. She never knew she could feel this type of emotion; love, she thought was for children until they met Loki. It all changed in her life. The one person who saw past her walls was Clint and the thought of him even getting hurt, destroyed her. Now watching him go, it crippled her mentally. All she could say to him was 'Stay Safe' and then she walked away to her bunk and sobbed silently.

"Hey Natasha, listen im so sorry about Clint leaving for a mission for 2 years. I know you and him shared an emotional connection and you felt he was the one person you could trust. But I am always here for you if you need to talk. Yes I may be 90 odd and yes I am outdated but I know a thing or two about love." Steve said with a reassuring smile.

Romanoff knew she could talk to Steve and that he was there for her whenever Clint wasn't. She felt almost safe around him.

"I just don't know what to do without him. He was the one who saved me in Budapest and took me to SHIELD. He even made Fury keep me alive. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here." Natasha started to cry silently into Steves chest.

"Nat, I have something to show you. Follow me" he grabbed her by the hand and she had no choice but to follow. He took her to his room...

"Steve what am I doing here?" Tasha questioned curiously.

"I have this for you." He gave her an arrow necklace. "listen, I know you and Clint share something special, a connection. Im giving you this to show that I will keep you safe until he gets back. That is a promise. I dont want to disrupt what you and Clint have. This necklace shows that and it is like he is always there, by your heart." he says as he places the necklace around her neck and smiled. "There."
