As Susie pulled you through the hall, people stared at you with fear in their eyes. You looked behind you and saw that Kris had mysteriously disappeared. People all around you seemed to shy away from you and Susie's presence. Susie swung open a classroom door, pulled you inside, and slammed the door behind her. That's when you saw the look on her eyes.

Rage.

She took a few deep breaths, took a piece of chalk out of her pocket, shoved it in her mouth, and sighed.

"Sorry. She just... I hate her."

"It's fine. If you, uh, don't mind me asking, why do you hate her so much?" you asked as politely as possible.

"It's a long story. Basically, she turned the entire school against me when I was 7. It fucked up my whole life, and now I can't walk down the hall without people giving me scared looks or running away."

"That's... Wait, how old are you?"

"17. Why?"

"Oh my god."

It was coming back. You staring at your feet as Charlotte taunted a 7 year old girl about her large teeth, saying that she could bite someone's face off with them. You had tried to stop her once, but she threatened to do to you what she did to the girl. That was the year you left with your dad.

"(Y/N)? Hello, (Y/N)? Are you there?" You snapped back to reality and saw Susie's clawed hand waving across your vision.

"I'm so sorry-" you began. You wrapped your hands around her.

"(Y/N)!? What are you-" Susie stiffened up. I unwound my arms from her and looked down at my feet. "Why are you apologizing?" You looked up at her red face.

"You... She- I-" You took a deep breath and explain the situation. You found your eyes drifting back to your feet.

"You..." Susie sighed. "And to think, I actually thought I had met a decent person other than Kris for once in my life." She sounded shocked and betrayed.

"Susie wait, I-"

"This is what I get for trusting someone after one day." She stormed out of the room and slammed the door behind her once more. Tears flowed over your cheeks for the umpteenth time since you had returned.

I can't even keep a friend for one day. Why am I such a fuck up?
