SS.1.2

"I'm sorry but like where the heck did you get those stories from?" I asked gaping at the titles.

She waved her hand dismissively. "Oh. It was gotten from Joy's reading list."

Oh. My. God

I was about to scream when the oak door opened and a maid with dull black hair stepped in.

"Lord Lucian your blood slave has arrived." She said bowing.

"Blood what now" I said confused.

The maid seemed nervous and terrified.

She turned white and struggled to speak. "T-The blood slave you ordered from the market because you wanted a personal supply."

"Oh. Ok. Thank you."

The maid looked shocked and then proceeded to scared before scurrying out of the room.

"Where's my phone?" I said scrambling under the thick soft sheets suddenly remembering my beloved.

"It's the eighteenth century. There are no phones." Dammy said.

I froze and slowly turned to the admin who seemed to have nothing but bad news to give.

The maid burst in again looking impatient and fearful. "My Lord the merchant is waiting."

"Just tell them to please wait." I screamed.

A statistics table came up and one of the bars dropped.

"What was that?" I asked shocked.

The admin just groaned and started to nudge me towards the door. "Just go I'll explain it to you later."

I looked down at the clothes I was wearing. They were obviously expensive and very comfortable but they still were my freaking pajamas.

"You're the male lead. You'll look good no matter the situation." Dammy said reading my thoughts.

I wanted to protest but despite being a hologram she shoved me out the door.
I stumbled out into the darkened hallways. Curtains covered the windows and only little torches provided light. It was basically a scene out of Liam's horror movies. I gradually made my way downstairs and met the dull-haired maid who pointed me towards the greeting room.

"Ahh Lord. Lucian. Good day." The fat man said.

I sat down stiffly in a bid at elegance. "Same to you. Sorry for keeping you waiting."

The man started laughing nervously and turned to look at the maid in shock. I glance at the man who the maid addressed as The Merchant.

He was a high-ranking individual seeing his rich-looking clothes and apparently I was too, if he was bringing my 'package' to me in person. Next, I glanced at the person on the floor next to him, she was small and the big scratchy cloak she wore did nothing to help her.

"Lift the windows up." I said irritated at the darkness now.

The maid's back went stiff and the room became so quiet I could hear the Merchant's heart thumping violently against his rib.

"M-m-y Lord?" The maid asked shaking now.

I hesitated shocked at her behaviour and slowly repeated myself.

"Could you please open the windows?"

I even added a little smile but it seemed to have the opposite effect as she fell on the floor weeping.

"My Lord," The Merchant started and I turned to look at him. "It's still very early in the morning. I beg of you to please spare her."

I could now hear the slave girl's heart beating fast in fear as well and I became frustrated.

What was so bad about opening a window

"Fine, fine, fine. There's no need to open the window."

The maid struggled to get herself under control and she immediately bowed while kneeling, her head touching the ground.

"Thank you so much, my Lord." She said.

I sighed, utterly confused at the behavior of these people. After the whole crying incident, I instructed the maid to pay the Merchant and show the slave girl to wherever she was staying.

"Administrator Dammy, we need to talk." I said flinging the door of my room open.

I stood frozen in shock as I saw her holographic figure dancing to K-pop, she turned and dropped the brush she was using as a microphone.

"Don't you know how to knock?" She screamed.

I rolled my eyes and walked in. "It's my room isn't it?"

I stopped dead in my tracks as for the first time I saw my reflection in the mirror. Angular jawline, a straight nose, perfect golden hair, and deep red eyes.

Damnnn. Even I could fall in with me

"What did you say you were going to tell me." I asked still staring at my reflection.

"Well, you have the Drama meter, the spicy meter, the character-meter, and finally the story meter." She read.

"Why do none of those sound like they would favor me."

"Because it won't. The male lead is your typical possessive blood-sucking hottie and you are normally just...."

I threw a pillow toward her.

"Hey, hate the author, not the admin." She said ducking.

I rolled my eyes. "I hope you aren't the only admin."

She hissed. "Just meet Kemiso and Marvel Queen and your eyes will clear."

She hissed even longer and went back to dramatically reading from the stats bar. "Anyways like I was saying, It's stories from Joy's reading list so there's gotta be spice. But keep it PG-13 so the author doesn't have a heart attack."

She paused, sitting down and crossing her legs. "Character meter means you have to follow the attitude of the main lead, and then the love meter shows how much the FL has fallen in love with you."

"I'm so screwed." I cried.

I jumped on the bed and started rolling around. Just why did Joy read such crap?

"Calm down joor. There's still hope for you." Dammy said.

I turned to face her in shock and she nodded. "Given your history as a sharp-mouthed savage, you'll easily fill the drama meter."

I gasped smiling wickedly now. "And with drama comes...."

"Romance." She finished.

We both started cackling like evil stepmothers plotting something wicked until someone barged into my room and we masked it as a cough.

"How could you do this to me, Lucian."  A woman screeched.

"How are her boobas breathing in that corset?" I whispered to Dammy.

She just shook her head in shock and we stood gaping at her. Her over-makeuped face screamed again. "How could you order a blood slave after all that time we spent together? Am I not enough?"

"Say something savage to up the meter." Dammy urged.

It seemed the vixen couldn't see her, because she just looked straight at me. I had glanced through the storyline and it seemed the woman in front of me - Cordelia was one of my many flings.

"I value hygiene. So coming to you is as good as going to a public restroom." I said, not even thinking.

Dammy and Cordelia gasped simultaneously. "I said we savage not cause trauma." She screeched.

"What's the difference?" I screeched back.

I turned back to Cordelia, still making sure my face looked cold. Her body trembled with pure rage and her pale red eyes glared at me.

"It's that wretched blood slave isn't it."

Does everyone in this place have two brain cells!! How did she land on that conclusion?

She smiled and I flinched at the evil behind it. "I have just the medicine for her."

She turned and stomped out the door. "You will be mine, Lucian."

And with that, she slammed the door. Dammy and I looked at each other.
Let the drama begin.
