It's me again. The author who is supposed to be on hiatus. Don't blame me though reading is an absolute chore. But before I delve too deep into my suffering let me just go straight to the topic at hand, The behind the scenes of Cliche Romance.

What? Are you shocked that Cliche Romance wasn't always destined to have that ending? Please, a lot of factors contributed to the novel you see here today, crazy and supportive friends and most especially TIMEEEEE. It's nothing really juicy or dramatic, but if you'd like to see my thought process then proceed down.......

The beginning........

Now Cliche Romance started out with one thought that screamed more that others in this crazy author's head and that was, Good boy and a bad girl. It took a lot of thinking and tweaking before they eventually took shape, Karla was initially a cheerleader (the abomination) and Astro was a lot more reserved but as time when on I defined the characters and tried to make them as real as possible. Did I succeed? Let me know!!!!

Okay now this is sounding a little boring to my ears let's turn the interesting meter up a notch shall we....

1. First off, Astro was meant to die. Hold up, calm down, DammyOludare put down the gun. *Takes a deep breath* Now it's a pretty unknown fact but in the earlier revisions our beloved ML was meant to die (probably in a car accident) and leave the story on a tragic note. Don't blame me I just trying to make plot twists.

2. Suggestions I received throughout writing this novel.....
Now while I received a lot of love from you guys (All your comments are so sweet and crazy and they make me laugh) and a ton of advice from my friends, and this little demon Kemiso37. Here's some of the advice I gottttttt that I didn't really love....

Joy should sleep with Blake get pregnant and lose the baby and Blake will abandon her.

Marvel_Queen08 Please help me to restrain Dammy and prevent her from murdering anyone. Now this BTS is not to bash or insult anyone. It's a genuinely good plot but I couldn't just do that do Joy. Plus I wanted to point out the clash in culture, so I couldn't do that if she slept with him. *Rereading the plot* But damn you all are wicked. Lose the baby, now that's just cold.

*Coughs as I continue reading* Joy should sleep with Blake and he'll abandon her.

*Stares in shock* On to the next one.

Karla should die

*Grabs the gun and shoots the person that made the comment* Now I know a lot of you guys were anti-Karla like Dammy and Kemiso, the haters, but some of you appreciated her character like MR.Archer and Marvel_Queen. But thanks to you all though. I'll try and improve on character representation.

Add a sex scene

*Coughs* Even though I'm traumatized I wish to apologize to the people that I scammed into think this was a romance novel, the poor suckers were fooled into think there would be something, but alas there wasn't even a KISS. Eyaaaa, but it's not me that sent you to be single. Go and experience it in the real world. But seriously I apologize, it turned out to be a great teen fix but lacking in the Romance part.

*Flipping through the papers* Now I think that's the only suggestions I got other than Annabelle's boyfriend should be above six feet tall and that is completely irrelevant. Now to the random facts......

1. Cliche Romance was originally named Not your Cliche Romance, but after a lot of thinking and the fact that it's basically a good girl and bad boy trope gender switched I just decided on Cliche Romance. Do you guys think the original was better?

2. I had considered a Joy and James ship. What do you guys think? It would be cute nau. But I later discarded the thought though.

3. I had no idea if Joy and Astro would go to different colleges until I wrote the scene.

4. There was supposed to be a transfer student that would be Joy's love interest but I was too lazy to add it in.

5. The biker street gang scene dragged on for a while but I didn't really have time to explain it.

6. This was supposed to be a single series but after much clamoring and protest at Joy's single status after the whole book I relented and now we have a whole freaking series. In the order you should read them;

A. Cliche Romance
B. Lessons of the Seasons
C. Trusting Mr. Perfect's Charm
D. Breaking the Playboy
E. Room 625 (Not really heavy on the timeline. Some characters are mentioned but don't affect heavily.)

Soooooo, I guess that concludes our Behind The Scenes Sessionnnn. Tell me your thoughts I would love to know. Are they some scenes you would have loved to see include or did the story turn out just the way you hoped? What are the lessons you learned? (I hope you learned some though).
