July 13, 2018 (Wonwoo POV)

We arrive back in my house and I help Nara move her luggage into an empty guest room.

"So how long are you staying?" I ask silently hoping she stays longer so I wouldn't be so lonely.

"Probably a month or so," Nara answers, "I need to get back before school starts. Honestly you should come some time. I have an apartment with Melissa." 

I shake my head, "I got work. My partner, Joshua, would be so upset if I ditch him again. Last time I left him for a vacation with my family, he ignored me for a month when I came back." 

Nara laughs, "You need a new partner."

"Nah, we make a great team." 

Nara nods. 

"Do you want to drink anything?" I say as I walk to the kitchen fridge to get myself a soda.

"Nah, I'm good. Oh right, there's something I need to tell you," Nara says as she follows into the kitchen.

"What's up?" I open up the can and pour it into my cup I just filled with ice. 

"... Wait actually I'll tell you later," Nara changes her mind.

"Wait no, no tell me." 

"No, I'll tell you after the wedding." 

"... Oh okay." I shrug and sip my soda.

Nara POV

Gosh dang it, Nara get yourself together.

My phone decides to ring, breaking the awkward silence I just created. Mingyu(:

I walk to the guest room and close the door behind me before picking up the call. 

"Hello?"

"Hey, you arrived right?" Mingyu asks right away.

"Yeah, I'm at Wonwoo's."

"Okay, so the wedding prank, what was his reaction?" 

"He's pretty quiet about it, doesn't really say anything. I think he's a little concerned, but he doesn't show it."

Mingyu laughs, "Yeah that sounds like Wonwoo. Okay, well I guess that's a good sign. Keep it that way, I want to surprise him on his birthday." 

"Alright." 

"Okay, that's it. Bye, see you July 17," Mingyu says before hanging up. 

July 17. This is when everything will change. 

I smile.
