‘So, do you like it.’ She said. We came to a small garden which was at walking distance from the CMR theater. On our way we brought ice cream cone.

she likes music and ice cream. I made a mental note.

The garden was empty so we thought to spend some time there.

‘Yes. How can you not like ice-cream?’ I said.
‘No. Not that, Deb. I meant the movie.’
‘Yes. It was nice.’ I said even though I had no clue what happened to the movie after she held my hand.

‘See, I told you. That wasn't my first choice for a movie but I had to prove a point. All movies are not the same. That movie didn’t have any harassment.’
‘Not quite sure about that.’
‘What do you mean by that?’ she had a frown look.

‘You saw the heroine’s mother!’
‘I knew you will throw that in my face.’ She finished her cone.

I laughed. ‘She was so harsh. It’s like adoption is a crime.’
‘I know but rather than that, the love story?’ She asked
‘Ok, it was pretty good.’
‘I wish I could have a story.’ She said.
‘Mention not. I can bring some kerosene and put your house on fire.’ I laughed.

‘I don’t want exactly the story of that movie. I don’t want to burn myself.' She said. 'But a simple story, sometimes the same old CLICHÉ's aren't that bad.' She winked.

We continued to walk, suddenly her phone buzzed. She took out the Samsung and gave it a glance, placing it back in her jeans. She stayed quiet for a while.

‘Who was that?’ I asked.
‘Dad.’ She said and continued to walk.
‘You okay?’
‘Yes.’ She replied. ‘By the way, Charlie was asking about you?’ she changed the topic.
‘Really!’ I said.

We saw there was a bench ahead. She extended her hand towards me. I clutched it. She wanted my support to climb it. She squeezed my hand a little as she started walking on the wooden plank.

‘What did she say?’ I questioned
‘Nothing, just about you and me.’
‘And what did you say to her?’
‘I said you were a friend.’
‘Just a friend?’ I looked at her, finishing up my cone.
‘Yes. Why? What did you tell your friends about me? Although I never met your friends.’
‘I didn’t tell them because I wasn’t sure what this is. Between us.’ I said.

She looked at me and clenching my hand as she climbed down the bench. As we continued to walk, we continued holding hands.

‘To be honest, I told her that we were friends for now. Don’t know about future.’ She said. I felt like dancing on that bench.
‘Do you…’ I looked at her.
‘Yes.’ She said with a smile. ‘I like you.’
‘I like you too Lilly, but I have never started a relationship this quick.’ I said.
‘I understand. Neither have I.’ She said. I stopped walking. She turned to look at me.

‘But on the other hand, I also never missed Malini madam’s lecture. So…’ I stopped talking and moved closer.
‘That’s good.’ She moved in close.

I leaned into her; my lips landed on her as we closed our eyes. I felt a strong feeling in my heart, it was just like the day when I first saw her smile. It was actually, ten times better than that.

I wrapped my arms around her waist. She placed one hand on my cheek, the other hand moved around my neck. She pulled my head as the kiss became intense. I thought my heart will burst.

Suddenly I realized we were in a public place. After a few seconds we stopped. I looked at her, deep in her brown eyes. My heart still having a blood rush.

Shit, am I...

My phone rang disturbing that thought. It was Rahul.

I will kill that rascal. I thought as it rang again.

‘You better see it.’ She said. I took a peek at it.

SOS, where are you? come at my place, now!!!! It read.

SOS?? That's only for emergency's. What happened now??

I checked the time and then switched it off.
‘I think we better head back.’ I said.
‘okay.....sure.’ she looked a little confused at my sudden change.

‘Listen. Have you heard of the new news?’ I said trying to lighten up the mood.
‘What news?’ she asked.
‘About a guy in our college?’
‘Who?’
‘His name is Debashish and you know, he started dating a cute girl.’ I said.

She started laughing. ‘Really!!’

‘Yes.’ I said ‘But he wonders if he can label the relationship.’ I winked at her.
‘I think, the girl will like that.’ she nudged me.
‘Really? Well rumors say that he is going to tell his friends and will make it official today.’ I said.

‘Well. She will do the same then.’ She winked. 'You are so corny sometimes, Deb. You are lucky that you are cute.' she started laughing.

‘Ok then, bye.’ I said as she dropped me to Rahul’s place.
‘You live here?’ she said scanning the building.
‘No, this is my friends place. He rents a flat here.’

‘Ok, call me after. She blew me a kiss. 'Bye' She started the car and left. I looked at the building.

Here it goes, no more hiding because if he found out from somewhere else than he is going to eat you alive. I thought as I entered the building.

But what about Naina? And kiara? They might have different opinions on Lilly. The lift came to a halt at 4th floor.

'I guess we'll see, when we get there.' I took a right and stopped at Rahul’s room.

Standing outside, I could here a noises coming from the room. Maybe music.
Hmm, that's odd.

I took a deep breath Anyway, let’s go. I opened the door.

The room didn’t have much light. But it wasn’t too dark, I could figure out some things.
I saw there were tissues lying all around the room. 1 tissue box lied on the sofa and one was on the top of the T.V.

The ceiling fan was slow, making an obnoxious noise. The song 'Kya hua Tera wada’ (what happened to your promises) was being played at full volume on the loudspeaker.

I saw Rahul sitting on the floor near the couch. 2 empty bottles of beer lied next to his feet.

Cheeks all wet from crying; tissues circling him. He looked like a typical beggar from 90’s Bollywood movies.

‘What happened?’ I asked looking at the situation.
‘I can’t…’ he said in a cracked voice. ‘I can’t find my toilet paper.’ he started crying.
