Sorry for making Glory and Tsunami look bad in this.

"We're dating."
"WHAT??!!" Screeched Tsunami. Starlight stared, and Glory gave an impatient snort. Sunny, however, merely tilted her head at Peril with a look she couldn't decipher.

Peril flinched like she'd been burned, and even though that was impossible, she still felt heat through her scales like fire.

"Clay, how can you possibly love her? She betrayed us!" Her glare turned to Peril. "What did you do to him? What did you say to him to make him say he loves you?"

"I- I didn't threaten him. I love him." She said in a small voice.

"Well tell it to someone who cares because I don't believe a word of it. And if you hurt my dragons I will have you thrown out of the rainforest." Said glory, and she flounced out of the room, Tsunami on her tail . Starlight made a move to follow them, but stopped when he saw Sunny hadn't moved.

Peril turned and fled from the room.

Peril sniffed and stifled a sob as she sat alone in the cave. Clay had tried to follow her, but lost her near the tunnels. Rain poured outside.  She felt dirt turn claylike and hard underneath her as it sizzled. A tear burned on her face. She heard a noise behind her. She closed her eyes. She didn't want to see cClay right now.

Sunnys POV
She thought she was being quiet, but Peril obviously heard her enter the cave.

"Clay, I-"

"Shhh. It's me, Sunny. I won't hurt you, or get mad at you. I can see that you love him." Peril turned around.

"I'm afraid they'll never get it, Sunny. I never feel happy when I'm away from him, and when I'm with him I feel about to burst. I can't just let go." They stared at the rain until Peril said

"Do you know what it's like to be misunderstood, Sunny? All the time, so nobody ever sees who you really are?" Sunny looked like she was choosing her words carefully.

"Yes. Not nearly as much as you have, but yes, definitely. Peril, dragons always used to think I was weaker then I was or more stupid than I was. I was that little sister. Then Starflight told me he loved me, and everyone was trying to tell me how to be. But I love someone else (ooh who is it) and I could never tell anyone because I knew they'd say it was ridiculous. Except Clay. I know what you see in him, Peril. He's kinder than anyone I know. But it took me being kidnapped for them to realize I was someone too, not just that optimistic dragon with no sense of humor and thinks everyone does the right thing. I am a dragon, not a scavenger. So Peril I get what your going through, because they did it to me, too."

"Thanks, Sunny."

"Do you think we could just be friends? Maybe if two of us are on your side, Tsunami and Glory will see how amazing you are. We have to prove to them you deserve Clay's love."

"Okay." They sat together until the rain stopped.
