"Where. The h*ll. Is Eyepatched. Sun," Bat snarled. The rest of the CDs - excluding Amon - stared at the ground.

"He's been missing for three days.." the Binging Leader replied quietly, "Obviously, he's gone, Serpant Bat.. He's dead.. Rabbit Bloodstone, I assume he wasn't caught?"

"He couldn't have been caught," Amon shook his head.

"Then who killed him?!!" Bat screamed in outrage, "Who the h*ll killed Eyepatched Sun?!! I'll kill him!!!"

"Now, now, we all need to calm down," Gormet Sack reasoned, "Whoever killed Eyepatched Sun may be after us, too. We don't know why he was attacked. We need to be cautious. But we shouldn't go crazy with revenge."

Little did any of them know, though.. they probably should've investigated Hide's 'death'.

It'd been months now, since Nagachika's dissappearance. Bat was still p*ssed about it, but for the most part, the CDs had gotten back into their normal activities. Since there hadn't been an attack, they assumed Nagachika's dissappearance didn't have anything to do with them.

The CCG also acted like nothing was wrong.

But both Amon and Mado had a bad feeling..

Amon didn't think Hide was dead. But.. then the question becomes- what happened to him?

Amon thought back on what he'd seen of Hide from the CDs. He had a certain air to him that was different than everyone else. Specifically, when they were finding information, he did. And when Hide had 'trained' Amon, he was like a completely different person. He'd had no emotion, and he seemed to be in his own world.

They certainly didn't know everything about Hideyoshi Nagachika.

"Amon. There have been sightings of a new ghoul recently. He has a sun mask with a smile on it. He also wears an eyepatch over it. He's been seen with Aogiri Leaders Eyepatch and Black Rabbit. We're to investigate."

"I see.."

They hadn't seen his face once. He always had his mask on. He'd joined a few weeks ago, in torn clothing.

He was beyond strong.

Just as Eto had said.

He killed mercilessly and flawlessly.

But they didn't know anything about him.

Even though he knew EVERYTHING about them.

From their kagune to their names to even their pasts.

Even though they'd never spoke a word about it to him.

And he didn't even have a name yet.

'You have to come up with some kind of name,' Eyepatch wanted to say.

But he guessed it didn't really matter.. Sure, they had nothing to call him, but oh well..

"Oi. We're going out tonight."

"... I wish you were talking about a date," the ghoul chuckled softly. He'd often be on top of buildings, just staring at the city, just like now.

Eyepatch didn't respond. The ghoul hopped off the ledge and followed Eyepatch.

The three of them were on their way to their new mission, a bunch of Red Cloaks in tow, when two people in masks blocked their path.

"..."

"Tch. What the h*ll are these idiots doing?"

".. Move."

"We have a few questions for you," Serpant Bat stepped up, "Have you ever heard of the Eyepatched Sun?"

"..?" Eyepatch was about to speak, but Ayato interrupted.

"Get out of the way. We're busy. We wouldn't mind killing a few small fries."

"We just have a few questions."

"We'll kill you if you don't move," the unnamed ghoul hummed.

"Tch.. If you guys won't make time for us.. We want to ask questions," Serpant Bat announced, "When you're free, come by Clear Dips."

"..."

Ayato scoffed, "We'll come if we feel like it."

A small little smile curved itself behind the smiling sun mask. He couldn't resist.

"Oh, you'll definitely cum." Ayato furrowed his eyes at the ghoul. "Come now, you don't know what Clear Dips is famous for? They're a prostitution place. So they'll make you cum."

"Do you want to die?" Ayato hissed.

Amon furrowed his eyes behind his mask.

Those disgusting, perverted jokes..

Amon can't deny that he's suspicious. Two 'ghouls' with a sun mask? Even if this one DID have a smile painted on it.. It looks nearly identical to Eyepatched Sun's..

"Aw, come on, Black Rabbit-kun, you wouldn't do that."

"I certainly would."

"We'll take you up on your offer," the ghoul nodded his head, "We'll come when we're not busy. But I can't guarentee that I'll cum."

"ONE MORE DISGUSTING JOKE LIKE THAT, AND I DON'T CARE WHAT ETO SAYS-- I'LL RIP OFF YOUR HEAD AND BURN IT!!"

"Aww, Black Rabbit-kun's so mean.." the ghoul pouted. Eyepatch stared impassively.

This wasn't how the ghoul normally acted..

"Poor me, having to work with Mr. Grumpy and Mr. I-Leave-My-Friends-To-Go-Eat-Centipedes," the ghoul put a palm on his chest and the back of his other hand on his forehead.

"Oi. Don't make fun of me."

"OKAY, THAT'S IT!!" Black Rabbit lunged for the ghoul. Amon and Serpant Bat's eyes widened as a kagune grabbed him.

"Now, now, Black Rabbit-kun, you can't go into a fight, fury blazing. That's just plain foolish."

"You little..!"

"You were fully aware of my abilities, and yet you still came to attack me.. I must say, I'm impressed. Most try to run. But I suppose I shouldn't be impressed with how your anger takes complete control over your body.."

"Let go of me, you freak!!"

"Aw, I'm hurt, Black Rabbit-kun.. Perhaps I ought to use this?" the ghoul pulled out a knife.

"There's no need for that. Black Rabbit, he's right. You need to calm down." The Black Rabbit grumbled, but the ghoul slowly set him back on the ground. He didn't try to lunge again, so the ghoul put his knife away, letting his kagune receed.

"Thanks, Eyepatch."

"..."

The CDs glanced at each other and let the huge group through, although Rabbit Bloodstone was very hesitant to. He discreetly texted Akira Mado.

The night continued.

"I'm telling you, something's seriously wrong about this!!"

"Calm down, Serpant Bat. We've already determined that Eyepatched Sun is dead, and it had nothing to do with us."

"I refuse to believe that!! Eyepatched Sun suddenly disappears after he was contacted by Aogiri?!! Then a new ghoul shows up with the same exact mask, only with a smile on it?!! Is that really a coincidence, Binger?!!" The CDs - excluding Bloodstone, CDL, and obviously Bat - gasped.

The CDL glared at him, hissing, "It's done and over with. Accept it. Even if he is alive, if he's not coming, then he quit. We shouldn't look into it."

"I'll continue to look into it. It's suspicious. Besides, I've been assigned to the new ghoul anyway."

"And I'm not quitting either!! There's no way I could just abondon Hi-Eyepatched Sun like that!! What if he needs our help?!!"

"It's not our problem. It's none of our business, Serpant." Bat twitched, but he couldn't deny that he deserved it. "If that new ghoul really is him, he's in Aogiri, and we shouldn't mess with them. I know it's frustrating, but there's nothing we can do. You shouldn't be this attached to him anyway. He obviously didn't return your feelings- you should've given up on him. Now he's gone, and you're having a fit when you should be focusing on the present and future." Bat's fists shook by his sides.

"And if it is indeed Eyepatched Sun," Amon commented, "and he destroys us, what do you suppose we do? Will you still stand by your decision, Binging Leader?"

"... If that happens, we'll get to it when we get to it. But I doubt that would happen. Besides, I'm sure all of us could beat him if he was alone."

"... Have you even heard the rumors, Binging Leader? Of how strong and merciless this new ghoul is?"

"... I have. There were rumors that surrounded Eyepatched Sun's air as well. I still think all of us together could defeat him - IF he was alone."

"... I don't know if even a whole CCG army could defeat him. If I'm honest, I think it'd take the entire CCG, Arima Kisshou-san, or both."

"..." The CDL slid her fingers across the counter. "Eyepatched Sun was a great evader. He could loose anyone. I'm sure of it. He was intelligent, too. And dedicated. Even desperate.."

She picked up her fingers, rubbing them together. She let the dust fall to the floor.

"But even someone like him.. can fall from great heights.. He's gone. Even if he's not dead, he's gone. From our lives at the least. And if he comes back, we'll welcome him with open arms. ... If he comes back as an Aogiri Leader, however.. or any ghoul for that matter.." She stomped her foot against the fallen dust, a murderous intent in her eyes, "We'll crush him."

Okay, so this doesn't really fit as an ending.. I feel like it just hangs.. not a cliffhanger but just.. blah. But at the same time.. I feel like this is an awesome, epic place to stop.. Gyaah..
