(sobs HIDE-ously) I wanna write a story where Serpent Bat is happy..!

Disclaimer: I don't own Tokyo Ghoul (:re)! But I do own the CDs~! (excluding Hide and Amon)

Plenty of people had tried to get in the CDs. Some ghouls, some investigators who merely wanted to exploit/kill/arrest the CDs, and some fools.

The people who didn't pass the tests never got in.

There was one person, though, who had gotten in..

And betrayed them after.

It was back when it was only the three of them.

"Sakura! Can you help me with this?"

"Sure thing, Cat!" said girl ran up to her best friend and picked up one box.

They were moving in. They had decided to make a shop as their HQ.

They were calling the place Clear Dips. It was a prostitution place. They didn't have their masks here, and they would refer to each other by their normal names.

The Leader, otherwise known as Cat, the Sack, otherwise known as Mac, and the Cat, otherwise known as Sakura. The three CDs.

Sakura was like a little sister to the pair. She'd even taken Cat's nickname for her codename.

They all had their own grudges against specific ghouls.

The Leader's brother had been killed by the Binge Eater.

The Sack's sister had been robbed of her eyesight – by the Gourmet.

And Sakura's male friend had been murdered by a ghoul named Mouse.

The three despised ghouls. But they had their attention on the ones that had spurred that malice.

They were willing to befriend ghouls to find those ghouls that had torn their world apart.

They were planning to make this place another way of finding info.

They were still young and inexperienced.

They were still perfecting their ways of gathering info.

Sack and Leader had convinced Sakura to just be the bartender. After all, who would want to soil their baby sister?

They were pleased with their arrangements.

Clear Dips soon became well known in the underworld. Not to brag, but Sack and Leader were quite confident in their sex skills.

In their mind, it was perfect.

It was stable.

Sakura destroyed that stability.

"Sa..kura..?"

"Cat.. Mac.. what we've been doing is wrong. We need to kill ghouls on sight! I'm joining the CCG. And as soon as I do, I'm telling them about our organization.. I've quit the CDs. We can't do this, guys."

"B—But Sakura!" Sack tried to reason with her, "The CCG has such poor information!! We robbed them just last night, and they didn't even confirm HALF of what we already had!! You won't be able to find the Mouse with them!!"

"The Mouse-Eating Cat is dead, guys. I know now. We can't just focus on our targets.. There are plenty of ghouls who are ripping families apart as we speak!! Some of which are the ghouls we let go!! So.. bye."

Sack and Leader looked at each other in horror.

Sack pressed his lips into a thin line.

"Sakura.. we can't let you do that."

"Hah?" Sakura turned her head back around.

"I'm sorry, but.. we can't let you.. infringe our hard work.. I appreciate you telling us your plans before you do them."

Thank God she trusts her older siblings..

"Either you're staying with us, or.. we'll have to erase you."

"Mac?!!" Leader's eyes were wide.

What was he saying?!!

"Erase me..? Are you threatening me, Mac?" Sakura turned back towards them.

"...Yes."

Sakura's eyes widened. She didn't expect her older brother to be so direct and actually.. actually..

"Th-This is a joke, right, Mac?" Sakura returned to the soft, delicate little girl she normally was.

"It's not."

Sakura inhaled a ghostly breath and tried to run out.

She never even got a scream out.

After that, the CDs changed a few things, since people were wanting to join.

They decided to keep their masks on in Clear Dips. They would refer to each other as the initials of their codenames.

And..

In memory of the Bird-Eating Cat..

They decided to add their targets onto their name.

Mac hadn't been as close to Sakura as Cathy was, but he had taken it harder than Cathy. Cathy had accepted that it had been needed for their existence.

Nevertheless, they still have nightmares sometimes.

After all, their best friend did go missing.

Even if it was needed.
