Brightness stood on an open cave in the sunlight, waiting for her friends so she could start her journey. She heard slight wingbeats nearby. Brightsting landed next to her right a few steps away with her bag tied near her tail. Cactus landed to the left of Brightness, with his bag tied near his ankle. Sunny came down to greet them with Moonstone to her left with her bag also tied near her tail.
"Hello." said Sunny. "Are you all ready yet?"
"Yes." said Cactus.
"Yep! I'm excited!" Moonstone said.
"Yes, can we go now? Are Coral's daughters gonna be there too?" Brightsting asked.
"Of course they'll be there." Sunny replied.
"I'm ready, are we gonna be late or are we gonna go now?" Brightness asked.
"Yes yes." said Sunny. "Come on! Hurry up!"
The five of them took off to the east, heading to the Kingdom of the Sea, to the newly built Palace of Trade and Diplomacy.

The sun was starting to set when the group stopped to get some food and rest, then they continued their journey east into the Bay of a Thousand Scales. Sunny found some sweet potatoes to roast and made a fire. Brightsting got some fish in the lake they were camping around. Cactus caught some goats. Moonstone found some whiteish potatoes. Brightness then caught a delicious wolf and found a nearby mango tree south of their camp and got some mangos. The group ate, blew out the fire, and huddled around to sleep as the sun set and two moons became visible in the night sky as the sun finally set and disappeared under the horizon.

The Next morning

Brightness POV

Yawn. Sigh. A black bird with a white belly flew by, startled by the dragon that just woke up. Brightness stretched and woke up to go get some mangoes, sweet potatoes, and a goat or two.

Moonstone POV

Agh. Moonstone woke up and found a white bird sitting in front of her snout. "Shooo." She said. She got up and stretched. She turned around and saw the others huddle together, but not Brightness. Where is she? Probably getting breakfast or— "Brightness! Over here!" She shouted.
"What is it Moonstone I'm trying to sleeeeeeeeep." complained Brightsting.
Brightness soared toward the ground near them, in her talons were a goat, some mangoes, and some sweet potatoes piled on top.
"Hi Brightness!"
"Hello Moonstone, would you mind waking up the others please?" Brightness asked.
"Sure! You guys, wake up! Brightness is here and after breakfast we need to get going! Come on wake up!"
"Yawnnnnnn...... are there any goat—Ow!" Cactus yelped as Brightsting accidentally stepped on his tail getting up.
"Sorry Cactus, can we eat breakfast and get going? We don't wanna be late right?" Brightsting said.
"Alright Brightsting, I'm awake and can we eat breakfast?" Sunny asked when she finally stood up and walked to the old campfire, relit it and roasted some of the sweet potatoes.
"Sure." Brightness said, her mouth full of some mangoes. She dropped the food pile and the group came over to eat. As Cactus was munching on some goat and Brightsting was bitting into a tasty toasted sweet potato, the other three, Moonstone, Brightness, and Sunny discussed about the meeting at the Palace.
"So can I pleeaaaaasssse meet with the chefs while you're doing all the trade discussion whatever stuff? Pleasssssssseeeeeeeeee?" Moonstone asked.
"It's no just trade discussion whatever stuff, but you can go since you are a bit young and may or may not understand our conversation right and blurt out random unhelpful things." Brightness said.
"Okayyyyyyyy, but can we please just hurrryyyy up?"
"Shhhh, I know you're excited. We will but now let's just go eat breakfast with the others and get going so we're not late, Okay?" Sunny asked.
"Okay!"Moonstone replied.
"Mhm, can I get a sweet potato now?" Brightness asked.
"Alright let's get going now." Sunny said.
The whole group ate and them took off to continue flying to the Bay of a Thousand Scales. (This chapter has 688 words)
