I was extremely grateful that having extremely powerful Nightwing powers made it very easy to block out other mind readers otherwise with her mothers eyes locked on her seeing her reaction she was sure she would have heard me thinking about the fact that I'm an animus. For the longest time I didn't even know I was an animus and hadn't even known for that long. I was 6 now I found out when I was 4...

Really why do I have to study about stupid animus's I mean whats so cool about them, they can enchant stuff cool oooo~ look at me I'm an animus!
"I ENChAnT ThIS ScRoLl tO tURn InTo A RuBy!" I said jokingly,
but suddenly the scroll began to shake I dropped it with a yell, and it suddenly gave a little jump and with a quite popping sound where the scroll originally laid there was now a small ruby the color of blood. I gasped surely I hadn't just done that. Surely not! I ran across the small cave that served as my room and grabed one of the blankets from my bed and said,
"I enchant this blankets to start dancing!"
Sure enough the blanket started to dance around the room. Suddenly I heard the boulder that covered the entrance to our cave.
"Stop dancing!" I whisper yelled at it.
Thankfully the blanket stopped moving and dropped to the floor I quickly ran and grabbed the ruby and hid it among the small amount of jewelry I had and than ran and hid under the blanket that was in the middle of the room thinking fast I picked up a pebble and said in a hushed voice, "I enchant this pebble to turn into the scroll on animus's I was reading!"
Thankfully after a second I was holding a scroll and curled up in a blanket pretending to read right as my mother walked in with some prey.
"Hey Permafrost I got you some pig while out hunting." Magma said while walking in.
"Thanks mom set it on my desk I'll eat it later." I said a bit nervously.
She shruged it off and went to set the pig on my desk she paused and looked at my jewelry.
Oh god my jewelry I don't think I have any ruby or red jewelry!
Paincing I prayed animus's could enchant things through thought and without touching them.
I enchant the ruby I made a few minutes ago to be invisible!
I hoped that worked after a tense few seconds my mom let out a small hum and droped the pig on my desk than left.

But know I was here with another animus. I have never met someone like me, Stonemover the animus in question was looking at me with interest for a small moment I worried animus's could sense eachother before looking in his mind there was nothing about me being an animus plus I couldn't feel anything special from him. After talking with Stonemover he said there was another dragon further down the mountain he was supposed to send them to and she could bring a message to the Talons Of Peace. I got curious and decided to ask.
"Why can't you take the message to them?"
Stonemover gave a loud sigh and said, "well little dragonet that would be because of my animus curse."
Animus curse?
"Animus curse?" I said echoing my thoughts.
"Yes." Stonemover said than continued, "usually an animus loses a bit of there soul each time they enchant something I however decided to use my powers to change my curse so it now affects my scales instead of my soul."
Loses a bit of there soul? Three moons that sounds horrible I better be careful with my powers and read more about the consequences of using my magic.
"Oh." Was all I said.
After saying goodbye we all left in the direction Stonemover told us to go and soon found the small hut he said the dragon lived in. We knocked and a young female Sandwing opened the door glaring at them.
"Were with the Talons Of Peace." My mom said, than continued, "we just came from Stonemover I'm Magma the Icewing is Frost my husband and the dragonet is Permafrost shes our daughter."
After hearing they just came from Stonemover the Sandwing seemed to calm down and let them come inside.
"It's nice to meet you all I'm Sundrop, I usually greet the new members of the Talons Of Peace and tell you where to meet them thats what your here for correct?" Sundrop said.
"Yes." Magma said.
"Ok let me just send the message to them." Sundrop hummed.
"How, will you fly to them?" I asked.
She giggled than said, "Nope little dragon we have a different way."
She than whistled an odd little toon out the window. After a few minutes a blue jay flew through the window and landed on Sundrops extended wing. I watched in amazement as she tied a small piece of scroll to the claw of the little bird and whistled something that sounded I know realize like the small birds own call, beacuse it answered than flew out the window again.
"How did you do that?!" I said in amazement.
"Just a little animus magic." She said between giggles.
"Your an animus I yelled." Unable to believe I would have met 2 animus's my first day out of the cave in months.
She chuckled than said, "no sadly I'm not I just found a little animus object that allows dragons to communicate with animals."
As she said the last bit she held up one of her wrists to show a silver wristband with little sapphires embedded in it.
"Thats so cool!" I said.
Mabye I should make something like that it would be really cool!
"Well we should get going" Magma stated once the blue jay had returned and Sundrop told them where to go and that the Talons Of Peace were expecting them now.
And with that me and my parents existed the small hut and started the flight towards the Talons Of Peace base somewhere on a different mountain.
