At the beginning, you split up. The groups will form on their own, but it's up to you to decide who Ayano will go with; or if she goes alone.

Many of the ends respond with Ayano's friendship level with the other girls.

[You spot a silk scarf hanging from the ceiling.]

<KOKONA> This'll prove it! Wonder why it's tied like a noose, though...

[You grabbed at the fabric, and pull. It doesn't give. You tug harder, and it lets out a little. You fall from the force, your head going inside the circle of cloth.]

<KOKONA> Ugh, this is creepy. But at least I sort of got it.

[You try to pull your head out, but the noose is too tight.]

<KOKONA> H-huh?! I can't get out!

[The noose slowly starts to rise up again.]

<KOKONA> Wh-what?! No!!

[You struggle to keep your feet on the ground]

<KOKONA> NO! SOMEONE, HELP! SAKI, YUI, MEI, YUNA, KOHARU!! ANYONE!! PLEASE, HELP ME!! LET ME OUT, THIS ISNT FUNNY!

[You begin to choke.]

Saki's always refer to her friends in some indirect way. My Best Meal [Friend] refers to Kokona. Chinese Cuisine refers to Yuna, again refering to Yuna as an animal(A dog in this case). All endings happen by choosing to kill a friend. This refers to the fact that you can turn Saki into a mind slave. They are also all food related.

Koharu's deaths involve clocks. It reflects what will happen later in the game in order to win. Koharu's Worst End is unique in the way that is set to happen, like a bad end, instead of being built up over time and happening eventually. The only way to avoid it is to enter the message hidden in the other bad ends. If you can do that, you'll revive her from death.

Mei's bad ends refer to smart decisions. All her bad ends involve her giving up on her friends to save herself. Funny enough, her worst end(An Unintelligent Sacrifice) revives the other characters. However, without all girls alive, you cannot get the true ending. This revival is only an opportunity to help unlock bad ends, really.
