Micky Dolenz #1
I'm feeling in a Monkee mood today so here's a Micky Dolenz one for you.
You were finally moving out of your parents house to a flat in San Francisco. You were packing the last things in your truck of your 1967 silver Pontiac Lemans. Your friend, a Monkee, Micky Dolenz, offered to help you unpack. You were going to have to drive almost six hours and it would be boring without company. Your childhood bedroom was empty, the bed bare, books in boxes. "(Y/N)," you heard Micky sing in a ridiculous voice, coming into the room.
"Hi, Micky." Your curly haired friend gave you a goofy smile. You couldn't help but smile. "I can't believe I'm leaving this place." You nodded at the walls, nostalgia becoming a backstabber.
"Bye, Mom, Pa. I'm gonna miss you. Promise I'll come back every holiday." You hugged them. Your mother's eyes rimmed with tears and your father stood there like a wall, but waving to Micky.
"Be good to her, son." He yelled to Micky.
"Goodbye." You left.
Hopping in your car, you turned on the radio. A while later the host said, "This is Steven Harold, with the Archies."
You knew the song. You smiled, keeping your eyes on the long road ahead of you, breaking out into song. You loved Micky's voice.
Songs pasts. The road signs become distant memories. It wasn't until Micky turned down the radio that he got you talking. "You have a good voice, Minnie." He smirked, making your cheeks pink. People called you Minnie and Micky when you were younger and the name stuck.
"Quit it, Mick. You're making me blush." You retorted.
"You're cute." He replied. You blushed even harder. You twisted the dial, until you heard the Purple Haze riff by Hendrix.
"Purple haze all in my brain." You hummed. At the corner of your eye you saw Micky stealing glances. Him, of all people, though you were
cute.
You switched spots with Micky, he was driving, you were in the passenger seat, eating a crisps (chips). The song Pleasant Valley Sunday was playing, Micky singing it.
"I love you Michael." You said it.
"I love you too, Minnie." He said. How could it be that easy? The. You reminded yourself it was Micky Dolenz.
