Interview with @thebeautyinthebeast

Namaste 🙏 everyone this is deardevil123 aka Angela

So today we have an amazing Wattpad star here for the interview

The one and only thebeautyinthebeast.

So let's start the interview..

Q:- So thebeautyinthebeast pls tell us your real name as we all

are curious to know but only if you are comfortable

A: My first name is Angela, but I prefer Angie.

Oh wow we have the same name my name is Angela too nice to meet you..

Q:- So what is your age?

A: I just turned 23 years old.

Wow I am only 19..

Q:-3: When did you first realize that you wanted to be a writer? And how old were you?

A: I was about 12 years old when I first became inspired to become a writer, and my inspiration was the Shiver series by Maggie Stiefvater.

Well I just started writing last year..at the age of twelve I didn't even know what was writing..

Q:-4: What was one of the most you learned in creating your books?

A: The most surprising thing was probably how hard it is to write a novel. I didn't expect to run out of inspiration to work sometimes, and having to write through the writer's block regardless. Coming up with the ideas for the books and the characters is the easiest part for me, but actually sitting down to write is the difficult part.

Well for me the most difficult is to get my lazy ass up for writing..

Q:-5: Do you think someone could be a writer if they don't feel emotions strongly?

A: I absolutely do. Though feeling emotions as an individual help with writing and concerning those feelings in your work, there's a place for those who are more apathetic as well. As long as the character that is being written about is also less prone to feeling sensations strongly, it would work well for the author, considering that they perceive emotions the same way.

Wow it's amazing our thoughts are also same just like our name..

Q:-6: How was your experience as a Wattpad Star?

A: It has been a great opportunity to be a Star! It's given me a chance to collaborate with other amazing authors and to ask questions that I might have. It's a learning experience that I'm grateful for.

Well I also want to be a Wattpad star but my lazy ass is not ready to write 50,000 words to fill the form of Wattpad star..

So anyways let's move forward..

Q:-7: What is the inspiration behind your book/books?

A: As someone who's been writing for a few years, I tend to gather inspiration from many sources and experiences. Sometimes, I become inspired by going to the grocery store and people watching, other times Pinterest peaks my motivation. In the case of Runway Princess, it was partially prompted by a couple of movies that I love, as well as other books that I've read. My other books, such as Calamity and Fish, are based on different mental illnesses and how to overcome them to live the best life possible with them.

Same pinch..

Q:-8: Which is your most favorite book and why?

A: In all honesty, my favorite book that I've created is constantly changing. Though Runaway Princess is obviously my most successful work with its successor, Paragon Prince coming in second, my favorite book is usually whichever one I'm the most invested in writing at the moment. As of right now, my focus is on my newest novel, The Rose of the Raven, and I'm currently dedicating my available writing time to it.

Q:-9: What do you suggest to other authors on Wattpad?

A: My biggest recommendation for aspiring authors would be to make a schedule and stick to writing and updating at a set time of the week or month. It's totally fine to ride a writer's high if you're on one and to keep updating chapters and writing as often as you can while the inspiration is available. As long as you keep writing, even when you're uninspired, you'll eventually see yourself improving. Just like any other skill, the more that you do it, the better you'll get at it. I personally never would have finished Runaway Princess if I hadn't stuck to the schedule that I made myself, which is why this is the best tip that I can offer.

Ok I will keep that in mind as I am a author myself

Q:-10: There are many authors who have yet to improve on their writing, many gems of a book that go unnoticed. Would you like to suggest anything to the newbies on how to improve their writing?

A: To improve your writing as someone who's just entering the scene, I would recommend reading alot, and not being afraid to upload your current work. Your books will not take off right away, as they rarely do. With Runaway Princess, I started off with only a handful of reads and I got discouraged many times by the lack of attention that it received since I really wanted to get more feedback on how it was developing. I convinced myself to keep at it regardless, and it eventually got more and more views as I kept updating my chapters. I feel as though many of the readers on Wattpad are interested in the amount of content available, and not just the storyline of the books that they're consuming. So, I would recommend that the newbies continue to write their stories and to keep posing updates without becoming discouraged. As long as you keep providing the content, readers will eventually come to you. In addition, if they have any questions about how to develop their techniques, reach out to fellow authors on the platform. Many experienced writers are happy to offer their tips and tricks, so don't be afraid to shoot them a message with any questions.

My god that was very helpful I will always keep that in mind..

So now here comes my favourite part rapid fire round yay..

So let's start..

Reading or writing?

Writing.

Coffee or tea?

Coffee! (I do also like hot tea, though. It depends on the time of day.)

Dusk or dawn?

Dusk (I'm not a morning person).

Books or movies?

Both! (At night, I prefer movies but during the day I prefer books.)

Sweet or salty?

It depends on my mood since I love both flavors. I like salty the most, though!

Staying home all day or traveling?

Again, it depends on my mood that day. I usually prefer staying at home, but I do love a good road trip, too.

Music or games?

Music

So now let's again move to the real interview..

Q:-11: Many authors are prone to writer's block. Any suggestion on ways to overcome it?

A: You're definitely right about that; every writer is going to experience a block in their inspiration at one point or another, myself included. I haven't found a sure-fire way to overcome it, but I've found that reading books is a good way to get your motivation back. Something about reading a completed book by accomplished authors motivates me to reach the same level as them. It also helps to keep writing as much as you can through the block, even if you feel unmotivated and like the work that you're producing is less than your best. You're just shoveling sand into a box while working on the first draft so that you can make a beautiful sandcastle during the editing process. In other words, just keep writing no matter the quality of the content, and you can make it better later on.

Well I have not encountered with wattpad's writer block let's see what will happen in future..

Q:-12: Tips on how to grow on Wattpad?

A: I've had a Wattpad account since 2013, and I started out small. If followers are your main concern, I would recommend following every account that you come across, since a large percentage will follow you back just by doing that. If reads on your books are what you're after, again, the best tip that I can offer is to continuously produce content. I've noticed that the Wattpad algorithm tends to recommend frequently updated books to readers, directing them towards your work. So, in short, just keep updating as much as you can, and readers will come to you.

Ok so another tip I will keep that in mind too..

Q:-13: Are there any experiences that you had as a teenager that taught you life lessons?

A: I certainly have. Probably the biggest lesson that I was taught is that it's okay to mess up and to make mistakes. That's true for both writing and for personal life. Personally, I tend to beat myself up for making mistakes and thinking of all of the ways I could have done something different to avoid it, which turns into a form of self-abuse. I've had to teach myself to let go of mistakes and embrace that life is going to be full of them. Sometimes, the mistakes that you think you made can turn out to be the biggest blessing, and alter your life for the better without you realizing it.

Well I am still in my teenage so I will note it down..

Q:-14: Teen authors procrastinate sometimes, not only teens but adults as well. Any tips to avoid procrastination? Can procrastination affect their books and writing style?

A: Sometimes, procrastination is inevitable. If you have a busy work or school schedule, sometimes you don't feel like working on a book when you finally have the free time, and you'd rather scroll through TikTok or Instagram instead to unwind. That's totally okay since I do the same thing some days, and at times your mind just needs a break. Procrastination can definitely affect your writing, since you will typically feel guilty for doing something else instead of working on your books, and therefore try to rush the chapter that you're working on, which can result in producing something that is less than your best. Again, this isn't necessarily a bad thing since you can fix it later, as long as you're producing the content one way or another. In order to both relax and keep my mind trained on writing, I like to make Pinterest boards for my books, which usually helps get me motivated to write again, too.

Well that's just amazing..

Q:-15: Books are good friends for teenagers. They can learn good things and also bad things at the same time. Some read books that aren't meant for them. What would you say to them?

A: In my opinion, there's no such thing as a bad book. Even if a book has a message that isn't the best or if the author isn't cut out for publishing because their style is undeveloped, the readers can still learn lessons from their work. It's okay if you spent your time reading a book that doesn't resonate with you or has a message that wasn't conveyed for you, as long as you took something away from it. You can always find something to learn in a book, even if the thing that you're learning is what not to do with your own writing.

Q:-16:Three important things every teen should know..

A: I don't if it's important for every teen but for me it is

~ always manage and complete your school work because I have seen many teens avoiding doing that..

~Be polite and respectful to elders as most of the teen are very disrespectful {no offense it's what I think}

~And last but not least be the way you are..

Q:-17:How do you feel giving us your interview?is there anyway we can improve?

A:I feel very happy that I have given you guys interview and I have let out my feelings and it feels really good to share my feelings with someone..

And your community is good as it is..
