Class Wars

'In front of Goldwing Coffeeshop.5:30 am.'was written on the note that I was currently holding.

I looked around and after spotting my destination,I ran in front of it.

"Huh?Who would fetch me,then?"I asked myself and scanned the whole area but failed to see a person wearing a black suit-and-tie.I'm sure it says here to meet in front of the coffee shop on 5:30 am...right?Well,I was five minutes late but duh?

I leaned on said building's wall to rest my aching legs as I stared at the people passing by.Tall skyscrapers and buildings towered this place and I could see huge billboards for various ads everywhere.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm only trapped inside this dream of mine. It's just that...everything happened too fast.

Am I really in New York,USA?

I'm not used to this place, because I just arrived here earlier from Philippines.I'm excited because it's an adventure for me,but also scared for what'll happen to me next.

The front door of the coffee shop opened and I saw two girls emerge out of it from the corner of my eye.

"Wait, you're picked too?"I heard one say.I just kept silent and faced forward--I decided to eavesdrop a little on their conversation since I've got nothing to do.

I could see them walking towards my way.

"Hey--Miss!"

I looked at the other way to check who're they calling, but found no one responding.

Wait,are they seeing something that I can't?

I frowned,confused.So they have a third eye?

"You there,black-haired girl with a blue Sanrio backpack!"

I widened my eyes as I turned to them, which are already next to me.

Of course they're talking to me,I should've known!

"Hi uhm...how can I help you?"I asked.Pucha,I wish I didn't sound like an idiot.

"We're wearing the same uniform,so it means we attend the same school!"The girl with dark skin and bushy,shoulder-length black hair exclaimed. She has round light brown eyes which I find pretty--she also has a curvy body and a big chest...and her whole existence is like a slap on my face.Diyos ko,I feel so little compared to her beauty. And her height.OMG.

"I'm Eva Martins, from Nigeria. How're you?"she offered her hand and I immediately accepted the handshake.

"I'm fine,t-thank you.I'm Dindi Maquirang and I'm from Philippines."

I don't know if saying where you came from is important, but what is this?An instant introduction?

"This right here is my friend,Hisako Sata."she introduced, glancing at the girl behind her."We only met a few minutes ago.Oh,and she's Japanese~"

"Hello,"Hisako greeted with a slight bow."Sorry if Eva's too t-talkative.I apologize too if my English is bad."

She's stuttering. And her L's sounded like R's.

Hisako is thinner and shorter than me, but she has a porcelain-white complexion that I admire. She also has adorable eyes like a puppy. Her black hair was up in a ponytail.

"Ah,no,it's okay actually. And your accent and pronunciation is fine as long as we could understand each other,"I assured her and smiled.

But comparing the way we talk and look sounds weird but fascinating.I would never get used to these things I guess.Culture shock?

"So this really is the pick-up place,"I started.

Eva nodded."Uh-huh.Me and Hisako arrived earlier and I see that nobody is here to pick us up until now,"

"We went inside Goldwing for coffee *of course* and bread b-because I got hungry."Hisako stated while showing me the paper bag that she was holding, probably a take-out.

"I'm kinda jealous of you two. How'd you get the dollars?"I asked, but the question remained unanswered because we suddenly heard a loud honk so we turned to look at the source.

It was from a white family van with tinted windows parked in front of us.

We exchanged glances before I went to knock on the window at the driver's seat.

"Hello?"I said,raising my voice."Excuse me,but are you--"

I was cut off when the window rolled down and revealed a woman in a suit, wearing shades. She wore her blond hair up in a neat bun.

"Hop in,"she said monotonously.

I beckoned for Eva and Hisako to do just that before climbing in myself, with them following behind.

The spacey van had four rows of long chairs(including the driver's and the shotgun seat),and there are already five people present--oh,plus the driver,so six.

Eva pulled Hisako and me to the vacant second row.

"The plate number of this van is WAR268,just in case we get kidnapped o-or something,"Hisako whispered in my ear.

...she's a pessimist.Well,at some point she's kinda right,since we don't actually know them.

"From now on,we should stick together forever,"Eva grinned.

"Okay."Me and Hisako said in unison.I'm in need for companions anyway since I'm in an unfamiliar place.I could easily get lost--or worse,y'know?

I entertained myself by looking outside the window(yes,I'm beside it).The scenery is nice and new for me and it never fails to amuse me.I feel like I'm an alien who just arrived here in earth.

"Hey."Hisako, who was sitting between me and Eva,whispered as she tapped my shoulder causing me to look at her.

"What?"I whispered back, afraid to cause noise for the others.

"Look at the kid in front,"and she pointed at the girl sitting at the shotgun seat.

'Kid'...?Bruh.

The girl in front had tan skin and a curvy body like Eva(but HA!She doesn't have big boobs like her),curly brown hair and emerald eyes.Currently applying bright red lipstick, she looked rather...snobby.

"She...she looks like a slut,"Hisako commented, which made me choke on my own saliva.

Damn that was sudden.

"Say what!?"Eva suddenly butted in and covered Hisako's mouth. So she was listening!?

"Hisako, how sassy of you but if you choose to live a thug life make sure you have the skills first, like me!"

She slowly removed her hand from her mouth while giving her an intense stare.

"What?"Hisako frowned."It means indecent woman,right?"

"...kinda,but it has more impact to us than *what* you think.Good thing she didn't hear you."

I nodded,backing up Eva."She's right.It isn't nice."

"O-Oh,is that so?I see,"Hisako looked down at her lap and sighed."I am very sorry."

"...just don't use that word ever again."I said as I leaned on my chair like Eva did.

My gaze lingered at the pretty girl in front for a while before I decided to look at the students behind me.

On the third row only one person sat--a boy with sandy blond hair, fair complexion and ocean-blue eyes behind thin-rimmed glasses. He was currently reading a book and judging by the cover,I think it's a French novel with mystery as its genre. It must be hard for him, reading in a moving vehicle like that.I bet his head is already aching. He looks serious and strict though...

On the last row sat three people. The boy with auburn hair and pale skin sitting beside the window is currently leaning on it,sleeping. The two identical blonde men beside him are currently in a conversation using a language that I don't recognize.

"German,"I heard Eva inform."Probably German."

"Huh?"I frowned and turned to look at her, only to find them both staring at me.

"How'd you know I was--"

Eva cut me off with a smirk."You're easy to read, like an open book,"

It sent shivers down my spine. Why is she so...oddly observant like that?

I just gave the brown-eyed twins a final glance before I faced forward.

As I stare at the lady driver,I couldn't help but wonder.

Where are they taking us?

And what have I gotten myself into?

Some of you probably might be familiar to the Hunger Games series.Well,

I guess that this is what this is all about.

Only...they picked contestants from each country. And I was one of them.

Maybe because I excel at Academics?I don't know, but what I do know is that it is what I'm only good at.

But I wonder why are they doing this--what are their motives?Who started this? When will I get back to--

"Damn Hisako.Look at that smokin' hot human."Eva whispered to Hisako, but I heard it.

I facepalmed.What's the purpose of whispering,then?

And she's even shamelessly pointing at the guy right behind us.

"Damn..."Hisako repeated, like a toddler would do when their mother teaches them a new word."...Damn."

"That man is mine."Eva declared while giving me a creepy perverted face.

"I'm not stealing it,okay?"I said, hugging myself for protection.

'It', not 'Him'. It's all hers, that poor humanized doll.

"He's handsome."Hisako whispered to me and then spoke something in Japanese("AgdjskdkskSukiajdjjsjs.").

Don't tell me this would be a future problem to our friendship--I mean, the love triangle that is currently forming I believe. If it happens,I'm done(bye).
