Like most married couples, Tohru and Fumiko do have their fair share of petty arguments.

They sit in the couch six feet away from each other.

As the both of them sat in silence, Mikoto (whose was five years old at the time), comes downstairs to sit next to them, unaware that his parents are fighting.

Mikoto: *Bored*...

Fumiko and Tohru looked at him, which brings them an idea they both were ironically thinking.

Fumiko: Mikoto Darling...

Mikoto: ???

Fumiko pulls out a snowman plushie from her pocket.

Mikoto: Ahhh~! ( ╹▽╹ ) 💞

Mikoto grabs it and sit next to his Mom. While he plays with the snowman, Fumiko pats his head while giving Tohru a smug look.

Fumiko: *Smug* Problem?

Tohru: (💢ಠ‿ಠ )

Two can play at that game...

Tohru gets off from the couch and walks into the kitchen. He comes back with a little something he knows Mikoto can never resist.

Tohru: Here you go, Snowflake~!

He pulled out a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream served with whip cream and sprinkles.

Mikoto: YAY~~! 💞 (≧▽≦) 💞

Mikoto sat next to his father while eating the ice cream. Tohru rustled Mikoto's hair while staring at Fumiko.

Tohru:...U Mad, Woman? ':D

Aizawa and Hizashi took his death the hardest.

Dealing with the guilt of losing a friend was pretty painful...

But this incident of what was dealing with was almost as painful as that...

Tohru's eyes fluttered awake from his nap. He looked up to his son with an curious expression.

Mikoto rolled his eyes at the nickname.

Tohru: Seeing two heroes work together to achieve a common goal, defeat a powerful villain or form a new team entirely is always exciting.

Tohru: Another part of the appeal with heroes working together is that sometimes it involves characters you wouldn't usually see together!

Tohru: The X-Men and the Avengers are usually contained in their respective titles, save for a few characters with dual memberships to both teams. So if Moon Knight and Jubilee decided to team up, it would be a lot of fun and the fact it can happen is so cool~~~!

Fumiko: Are you always this chatty...? Because you're seriously talking my ear off...

Tohru:....Fumiko...?

Fumiko: What?

Tohru:....I just want to know are you alright?

Fumiko: *Annoyed* Oh sure. I'm fine. I'm basically an outcast to the so-called family who sold my sister. Endeavor is forcing her to give birth to another child. Doctor Octopus was literally...an giant purple octopus with yellow goggles. Oh, the irony...

Octopus: That's right fool! Letting your emotions get the better of you while your on patrol! What an shameful act of a hero!

Fumiko:....

Tohru: Let her go, you freak!

Fumiko tries to freeze the tenatcles but the enough force, they broke out of the frost! Tohru leaps into the air and summons multiple kunais, shrukens, and daggers. He sends them down at the villain who blocks them all with his other tentacles. Tohru tries to summon some more but Dr. Octopus holds up a tentatcle in a taunting manner.

Octopus: Ah Ah Ah...I wouldn't do that if I were you...unless you want your precious girlfriend to get hurt.

Tohru:...!

Octopus: You heroes really have fallen out of style! Especially you girl. The talk about your big ambition is what's gonna throw you out of line! That pride of yours is nothing but a tragic flaw!

Fumiko:....

Tohru: Fumiko...! Don't listen to him! You can still break out of his tentacles.

However, Fumiko wasn't listening at all...Dr. Octopus still continued.

Octopus: I wondered...In many modern works, such as Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, pride is tragic flaw, and the undoing of great heroes. But you girl...

The villain pulled out an syringe with a black color inside it.

Fumiko/Tohru:....

Dr. Octopus then looks at Tohru with a evil corrupted smile. He brought the syringe closer to Fumiko as she struggled to get out of the tenatcles. Sue tried freezing them again but to no avail.

Octopus: Now Boy. Bear witness to this new experiment that will bring the downfall of many heroes!

The Yuki-Onna closed her eyes waiting for pain to set it's course.

Tohru: FUMIKO!!!!!

-Stabbed-

Fumiko: *Gasp*

Fumiko opened her eyes only to them to go wide with horror.

Tohru:.......

Tohru was stabbed by the syringe through his back while he held onto her.

Fumiko: Toh....ru......?

Tohru: Heh....that was close....

Octopus: Oh My...Change of plans then...looks like you'll be my guinea pig then, boy.

Fumiko: Wh...What?

The villain injected the drug inside Tohru, who body begins to glow red...and he then screamed in agony...

His quirk...was then destroyed...inside out...

Tohru: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Octopus: Hahahahahahahaha!!!!

Fumiko: NOOOO!!! TOHRU!!!!

Tohru: And just like that...I lost my quirk...

Mikoto:.....Holy shit, Dad...

Tohru: Language!

Mikoto: Sorry...It's just.....I never would've thought all of that had happened to you...I'm sorry Dad...I shouldn't have been asking you something so personal if it was that severe....

Tohru quickly guarded his son from the upcoming blast with blew a hole threw the wall. Concrete and rubbed flew everywhere in the resort..

Screams were soon heard and Tohru gets up from his spot and saw someone coming threw the giant hole.

???: AHAHAHAHA! We finally meet again.

Tohru: No....It can't be....

Mikoto: ?!

???: Oh but it is.... It's finally get to see you again...after two decades of hiding.

Tentacles appeared from the rubble as Tohru's eyes went wide.

???: Did you really think I wouldn't come back to settle the score with you....

Tohru:......

Octopus: ...Ashikaga Tohru-san...
