I'm On Patrol~ !

Mikoto: Ohayo, Auntie Rei~!

Rei: Ah...Mikoto welcome back~!

Ever since Mikoto was able to see his aunt once again in so long, he begin to recently visit her in the hospital at least once or twice a month to see how she's doing.

So far, it looks like Rei has been recovering.

Mikoto sometimes would bring Shouto along with him or come alone.

Rei: How is Fumiko-chan doing?

Mikoto: Mom is the same as ever. Plus, she wouldn't stop talking about you.

Rei: Really?

Mikoto: Yep! She boasts about how much you were a great sister to her back then.

Rei: I guess so...Me and Fumiko were so young...I was more of a quiet child while Fumiko was more hyperactive and out-going.

Mikoto: Huh...She don't seem like that now...

Rei had told Mikoto small stories about what Fumiko was like when she was growing up.

Mikoto was surprised to learn that his mother was a completely different person. People had always thought his mother was cold-hearted...but only to strangers and villains.

Unless, your someone she knew...she wouldn't talk to you. Instead she would give you temporary freezing as a warning to stay away from her.

Mikoto laughed at the thought of his mother giving someone frost bite.

Rei: Anyway. How are you doing?

Mikoto: So far so good. Everything alright at U.A but some villain activity has been going around lately that been making my classmates and some other hero classes leave for the Hero Work Studies..

Rei: I see...

Mikoto: The same goes to me...speaking of which, I got patrols to do within an hour with the Samurai Pro-Hero.

Rei: I wish you good luck, then.

Mikoto: Thanks Auntie.

Rei: It's no problem sweetie...I'm just glad to see my nephew once again in so long...you were such a cute child back then and look how much you grown. You're gonna be a great hero, someday~!

Mikoto blushed and laughed.

Mikoto: I know~~~!

Rei: Tell Shouto I said Hi if you see him on your way back.

Mikoto nodded and left the room as visiting hours were over.

-Later-

Mikoto and Tsuyoi-Senpai were on patrols throughout Kyoto.

Mikoto: So Taka-Sensei wanted us to investigate here...?

Tsuyoi: *Nods* Kyoto is one of Japan's greatest ancient cities. This is where the evolution of quirks have been first habitual.

Mikoto's eyes went wide and turned to the older male...he never expected a history lesson.

Mikoto: Really?

Tsuyoi: Yes...It likely took the world between five and ten years to fully react to the initial appearance of quirks, and the villain, All for One, appeared pretty early on...so we could say that All for One appeared about ten years after the glowing baby, around 2060. Now for how long the quirk society has been around...

Mikoto: And since has been around for about two hundreds...the baby...the first person to develop their quirk is most likely gone by now...but I can't really say the same for All For One...

It was still surprising that someone with a quirk that powerful could still be around after centuries.

Mikoto: But I don't get it...if we're all told it was halted by the appearance of quirks, wouldn't technology wouldn't been more advanced for the year of the glowing baby to not been announced?

Tsuyoi grunted before answering.

Tsuyoi: We could safely assume that it was in the early-to-mid 21st century.

Mikoto: Ah....

Tsuyoi: There isthe fact that we see snow in Japan which us similar to how your quirk manifested through you and your parents. Snow is based in weather through a near-equator country getting hit by warmer winds from the ocean. Since dealing with quirks tore the world's focus away from other issues such as climate change, I think we should definitely assume that the world had time to deal with humanity's massive carbon footprint, something that, given our current situation, would likely take twenty or so years to properly deal with.

Mikoto:....(For someone whose supposed to be a man with a few words...he sure do know a lot about history...)

Mikoto looked down remembering the time where there was the horribly trashed beach that All Might had Izuku clean up, but litter and greenhouse gases are two different things, and given the current real-life situation, I think it's safe to say which one could have been prioritized.

The world was truly strange...

Suddenly, both of them stopped in their tracks while walking down the streets...

*THUMP*

*THUMP*

*THUMP*

A strange noise echoed through their ears.

Tsuyoi: Let's go... It's coming nearby the Fushimi Inari Shrine...

Mikoto:...Okay...

Both of them quickly took off towards the noise.

The Fushimi Inari Shrine became Kyoto's most visited shrine since the shrine's iconic vermilion torii gates made an appearance on the movie Memoirs of a Geisha in 2005. Right now, it was one of the most public places in Kyoto. To avoid the crowd, Mikoto and Tsuyoi followed the strange noise through an alleyway.

Then that's where they saw it...

Or him...a man in a suspicious black uniform.

Mikoto and Tsuyoi quickly hide themselves as the man in black pulled out his phone.

Man: Yes. I'm alone now and I made it too the destination. We got ourselves another experiment for the boss to have.

Mikoto: (Experiment?)

To Mikoto's horror...the man was holding someone.

It was a small child...
