Today was not Mikoto's day...

First, Geysis-Sensei's training was hell the last few days.

Second, he was almost killed by the Hero Killer.

Third, he got his butt handed to him a couple of times and got injured, bruised, beaten, and once again, almost got killed by another villain.

Fourth, he now managed to become mortal enemies with said villain who promised that he will bring nothing but pain and misery in the future.

Now he was in the Hosu General Hospital, being scowled by Geysis-Sensei for disobeying his commands.

Yep...This was not his day...no way...

Geysis: Honestly kid. You could've gotten killed out there! I know that you were trying to keep your friends safe! But seriously...Your mother would have my head if something happens to you!

Yeah...the last thing Geysis' needs to be is on Fumiko's kill list if her only child and distant cousin ends up dead because of his rational decisions.

Geysis: Do be careful next time! That goes for all of you!

Souta/Kenji:.......

Mikoto: I need a vacation...AGAIN!

Geysis: *Sighs* We all do kid...I'm going to call your parents.

Mikoto: Please do. (Dad's going to have a cow when he finds out what happened...and Mom would probably try to hunt down whoever done this to me...RIP Stain and Niko...)

Souta: Just call my brother....

Kenji: I don't have parents....

Geysis gave Kenji an pitiful look before nodding and walks out leaving the three boys in the room.

Mikoto: Well this sucks...

When they first got there, they were questioned by the Police Chief (some guy with a dog head) about the Hero Killer.

Mikoto then told them everything he knows and then told them about Niko's identity of being the new villain that's been attacking people over the past week.

After a while of questioning, Mikoto had asked again about Izuku's whereabouts.

Souta responded that he was okay...turns out while Mikoto was fighting Niko. Izuku was saved by Stain by killing the Nomu.

This puzzles Mikoto a bit. Why would the hero killer save his best friend when he wanted to kill him in the first place...?

Did that mean...that Stain had a change of heart and Izuku as a hero?

Maybe... It's really unknown what that man is thinking.

You see, Stain is right to criticize heroes who place more emphasis on themselves and their personal agendas than the overriding reason behind their existence. That being to ultimately help people.

Stain's issue though is that he had a very narrow minded and horribly limited definition on what actually makes a hero. Tenya's desire to avenge his brother endangered him and Manual's life, he should've been more concerned about the poor man bleeding to death than his grudge, but let's not forget who is at fault for the situation.

But at least they both were alright as well...

As for Stain, somehow, he rendered himself unconscious after saving Izuku, declaring his hatred for heroes, showing off his killer intent, and telling the heroes that only All-Might can kill him.

He was taken into custody.

Sylvia had came to visit them. At first, she was relived to see they were safe. However, she berated Souta for leaving her behind and called him out for being reckless. Souta retorted by calling her a bitch and she didn't take it very well.

....and let's just say Souta won't be leaving that hospital bed for a while. 

Shouto paid him a while ago despite being injured as well. He just wanted to check up on him.

Turns out...He, Izuku, and Iida are a room in the same hospital, a few doors down from him and Souta.

Shouto had told him about what the Police Chief told them and to be honest, Mikoto was shocked by what this new information he was hearing.

Ever since quirks had came out two hundred years ago, the Police Force have refused to employ Quirk users out of fear that Quirks would be used as weapons and that was why the heroes rise up to fill that position, but only if they followed strict rules and morals, as even young heroes like them must know they are not ready to take such roles, as they may harm others with their Quirks if they are not with their guardian or supervisors.

Even if it was the Hero Killer, it would still be considered breaking the law. As such, he tells them that they and their guardians will have to receive punishment.

Furious, Shouto says that if they had done nothing, Tenya and Native would have been killed by Stain and Mikoto would've been killed by either Stain or Niko.

Although Souta didn't blame Iida for doing that. Because if it was his own brother that got attacked by Stain, he would've personally done the same and no one would stop him. But a part of him still couldn't help but think Tenya was an idiot...Why?

Well...Iida's actions almost got everyone killed that night...

But he decided to lay off him. He was young like the rest of them. He didn't know any better and just thought he's plan to avenge Tensei was right...

But to be honest, this isn't what Tensei would've wanted.

Tsuragamae (The Chief) had then comment on Shouto's behavior. He then says that that was just his opinion as a member of the Police Force, as stated that they would have been punished, had it been an official disclosure.

Since there were limited people that knew the events that happened, he would hide all of this so that no one would find out about it and they could avoid the punishment, admitting that he did not want the young Heroes to get into trouble. Tsuragamae bows to them and thanks them for keeping the peace. The Police Chief left after that...

Mikoto: I...just don't know how to feel about all of this...

Souta: At least this can't get any worse...

Kenji: The doctor said for the sake of your health, you guys can't eat anything solid for the next few guys and would have to add soup on the menu.

Both boys groaned at that. Kenji raised an eyebrow.

Kenji:.....I'm not sure why you guys are complaining. There's nothing wrong with soup.

Mikoto: Why would you think....Oh right...

He forgets sometimes that Kenji was a vampire. Kenji doesn't really eat anything solid that much and has to drink blood a lot once in a while. The most blood he drinks would be enough to fill him whole.

Although...since this is a hospital, let's just hope he don't go on a blood bank and take some blood packs.

Mikoto: Hey...Kenji...

The vampire looks up at him.

Mikoto: You don't...have any parents? Why?

Kenji: No...I was...born an experiment...

Mikoto's eyes went wide and Souta focus his attention on the vampire.

Kenji: When I was only a baby, I been told my parents gave me up to a facility where scientists was performing dangerous experiments on kids who were kidnapped, abandoned, and taken from their homes. At times, a scientist would say "There could only be one. One of them is "special". Only one can be the chosen one....The others are disposable..." So, for years I along with the other poor children were abused, beaten, and subjected to cruel and inhumane torture. Each time, a experiment failed, one of the children would be poison and died under surveillance while suffering in agony. The other kids were forced to watch as we couldn't do nothing about it.

Mikoto:....

Souta:....

Kenji: On the outside, it looked like an orphanage of love....but on the inside...It was a heartless and abusive attempt to breed the perfect soldier, through severe physical and psychological abuse and neglect. It meets its end when almost every single scientists kills the kids...

Souta: (Oh fuck... That's messed up...)

Kenji:  The orphans, which were forcingly taken from their family at best, witnesses of their families slaughter, and people's genocide at work...Most of these kids saw things that they shouldn't have seen but our fates were sealed the day we were all taken...But those rotten assholes didn't care...After all the torture we been through for their sadistic pleasure, it's obvious they felt no remorse putting children through hell.

Mikoto: (Oh God....)

Kenji: Back then, Most of the kids there were quirkless beings unless the doctors drugged them to test their strength, knowledge, and abilities with painful testing. Over the years, the children have died...I was the one the few kids that survived that ordeal.....At age eight, I was announced to be the 'chosen one' by them. I didn't know what they meant  by that. But during one of the experiments, I...was forcefully transformed into a vampire.

Mikoto: (So that explains where he got his powers...)

Kenji: Some time later, the facility's dark secret got out to the world and heroes stormed in to save the day. One of the heroes was Vlad King was the one who found me, broken, beaten, and bloodied.

Mikoto: (That also explains why he admires the Pro-Hero.)

Souta:....What happened to the scientists....?

Kenji:......I killed them....

Mikoto:.....

Kenji: However, I don't think I gotten all of them. Some of them must've escaped...where ever they are, they're scattered across the globe. So now, everyday I have to continue my hunt for survival. Thanks to this lust for blood....

Mikoto: Speaking of which...Did you managed to control your blood problem?

Kenji: Partially. But Vlad King's training did help.

Mikoto: What about the other kids that survived the facility's imprisonment?

Kenji:.....I don't know...I was only able to get in contact with a few...but not much information...

Mikoto: I see......

Souta: So how does that work...? Can vampires even be able to control their lust for blood without going on a frenzy.

Both Mikoto and Kenji gave Souta an surprised look. They never thought he would be interested in bringing up an topic like this. Kenji answered him quickly though.

Kenji: I once heard that sometimes, vampires preoccupied theirselves with other things...like meditation...    On the other hand it is very hard to stop your self when it is right infront of you, the first taste is toxic so hard to stop, the second time is a tease.  The thrid taste is a little bit longer & fills me more, then after that they come to you.

Souta: Well...that sucks...

Mikoto: It really does...

Kenji: *Shrugs* I'm trying though...I really am...But I guess to some people... it's not enough....

From hearing that, Mikoto thought of Maria and frowned. He and Hein would probably have to talk to her about her animal issues with Kenji later.

Mikoto: Kenji...

Kenji: Yeah...?

Mikoto: I never asked you...but...Why do you want to be a hero?

Kenji:......So I can prove that even monsters like me can be heroes...

That almost sounded similar to Sylvia's ambition of being here...but for his own indifference.

Mikoto:.... You're not a monster.

Kenji: But I am-!

Mikoto: No. You're. Not.

Kenji:.....

Mikoto: Whoever told you that have no idea what you have to go through. You can be a hero. Doesn't matter what species you are.

Kenji:.....

Souta: Take his advice...He's an good motivational speaker.

Mikoto: *Blushes* O-Oh...I don't know about that!

Souta: Don't deny it. You are. You helped me a lot during this year. It's thanks to you, that I have managed to get on the right path of a hero. You're really cool, Mikoto. Never forget that.

Mikoto: I see....

Kenji: He's right, you know.

Mikoto: Eh?

Kenji: Think about it. Everyone in this class has problems and you're always helping them out. Didn't you noticed that? You're smart. You make good strategy plans at the exams. You helped most of us here and there back at the Sports Festival. Example. you helped Lilac, Hein, Haru, Sylvia, Souta, and now me...I grew up alone with no help and had to survive in my own. Once I got my quirk, everyone but you view me as a monster up until now.

Souta: Once I got my quirk, my own family turned their backs on me. Except for my brother, Shun...He was the only one who still cared. But that's where you come in. Whether you like it or not. You're an inspiration to us all, class rep.

Mikoto: Aww...Gee thank guys. That makes me feel very happy.

Kenji: Yep...

Souta: Hmmm...

Mikoto was glad. Really glad that some of his classmates were opening up to him again. They were right. He was a motivational speaker and a good leader. He is what inspires the class (despite him not realizing that until later). He also helps sorts out their problems and leads them on the right path.

As long as he knows what he's doing, Mikoto will become a great hero someday.

Mikoto: (I'm really glad to be in this class....)

???: Souta!!!

Souta: Eh?! Nii-san!

Souta's brother, Shun, appears and pulls him into a hug.

Shun: Thank goodness you're safe!

Souta: Brother...Please... You're embarrassing me.

Shun: I don't care! Don't you know how worried I was when I learned you fought a villain?!

Mikoto: Haha. How cute.

Kenji: (So this is Kobayashi's older brother. He lookskike him but more taller...)

Shun: Oh hello there~! You must be Souta's classmates.

Mikoto: Hey! Now I recognize you! You're the hero: Deadly Scent!

Shun: Haha... that's right~! In the flesh~!

Mikoto: What a surprise~! (How come Souta never told them his brother was a Pro-Hero?!)

Souta: *Embarrassed*

Deku: Hey Miichan...

Mikoto: Yeah?

Deku: Remember Tsubasa...one of Kacchan's friends from childhood...?

Mikoto: You mean the winged kid that disappeared before he reached middle school with you guys...? Yeah...what about him?

Deku: W-Well...I'm not sure why but the Nomu we faced sometime ago...it had wings like Tsubasa...it was pretty strange...it reminded me so much of him...

Mikoto: Oh that is strange-?!

Deku:....

Mikoto: Wait...you don't think...

Deku: -Nods-

Mikoto: O-Oh Fuck...Well...I just hope you're wrong about that and it's just a theory...

Deku: Yeah...or else Kacchan will be crushed when he hears the truth.
