Entrance Exam Part 1

It was time to get ready for the entrance exam at U.A as Mikoto got dressed and ready to go. He couldn't wait, he felt pumped and excited.

Mikoto: I hope I can do this....

The snow white haired boy walked down stairs and was greeted by his father who booked breakfast for them.

Mikoto: Morning Dad...

His father, who had slick-back dark blue hair, black eyes, and fair skin with facial hair underneath his chin, gave a smile at his son. He put up the white apron he had on and sat down near the table offering his son a simple breakfast, pancakes and bacon, to which he gladly took.

Dad: Hey there Kiddo. You ready for the exam?

Mikoto: Yep! I'm excited and a little nervous....

His father shrugged but nodded understanding how his son felt.

Dad: I was like when I applied for U.A many years ago. Don't worry. I know you can do it. You got the support of me and your mother to back you up~!

Mikoto smile but then looked around.

Mikoto: Where's Mom...?

Dad: Oh...She left early due to work. Ya know...Hero Business is no joke...

Mikoto: Ah...

Mikoto's mother was a Pro-Hero who goes her hero name: Yuki-Onna. She is well-known all across Japan and has saved multiple innocents from harm using her ice quirk.

While growing up, because his mother was a hero. Everyone looked up to him and admired him.

At first, it felt great to be admired, loved, and respected by his peers ftom primary through middle school...

But then it got annoying... Because he realized the reason why they only like him because of his Mom...

"The Hero Yuki-Onna save the day again!"

"She is so awesome!"

"I heard she has a son."

"Cool. He must be really proud of her~!"

"Yep. He's definitely going to follow in her footsteps."

"Like Mother...Like Son..."

Mikoto:....

Don't get him wrong. He loves his mother with all his heart. But he couldn't help but feel a tad bit jealous of her.

Being a hero kid may come with it's perks. But...

It never really was all great especially if people see you as your parent and not you...could also put a lot of expectations on you.

Wanting you...to become like your parent...

Someday, when he makes a name of himself. He hopes he could finally get out of his mother's shadow.

Dad: Ah...My beloved wife...She's been so naturally cold to me.

Mikoto sweatdropped at this.

Mikoto: She's cold everyday Dad. Because her quirk is literally ice.

His father started crying anime-tears and mumbling something the boy couldn't understand.

Mikoto: Yeah...Well...You get that taken care of Dad. I gotta go now. Izuku's waiting for me.

His father stopped crying and made a small smile.

Dad: You both are growing up so fast. Good luck son...and give Midoriya my regards as well.

Mikoto: Yeah Yeah. Love you too Dad. Bye!

Mikoto took off to U.A to meet up with Midoriya.

He was glad his parents were not just supporting him but supporting Midoriya as well.

He remembers when he first introduce his parents to Izuku and told them he was quirkless...

His Dad felt sorry for him... Because he can relate...

Why...?

Because his father is quirkless too...

-Later-

Deku: Ah! Miichan!

Mikoto: Izuku!

The two meet up at the entrance and hugged each other. Ever since the day they met, they been practically like brothers to each other. Mikoto would always try his best to keep Izuku safe...especially from Bakugo...

The last time he saw Izuku visit him with bruises and burns...He already know who was responsible.

He wanted to murder Bakugo for quite some time since the bullying got worse. He told Izuku it's best he tell his Mom but he said he didn't want to worry her.

There were times where he was slightly irritated when Izuku was always covering for Bakugo because he didn't want to ruin his chances at U.A.

He was more worried when he learned Izuku got captured by a Sludge Villain and almost died. He wasn't there that day because he was already home due to leaving school early.

It frightened him to know that his friend was close to death but thanks to All-Might showing up.

Izuku looked a little off when he mentioned All-Might though...

He wondered why...

Izuku always wanted to meet his favorite idol.

So why did he looked sad...

However, that's not the end of that story...

When the Sludge Villain went for Bakugo. It left another unpleasant feeling in his stomach.

As much as he hates Bakugo and wants him to suffer for his abusive attitude towards Izuku...He didn't want him to actually die.

Killing Bakugo won't do anyone good...

What scared him the most is when Izuku literally ran towards the scene and tried to save him while everyone (including the pro heroes) just watched and do nothing.

Deku: He looked like he was asking for help...My legs just moved on their own...

Luckily for the both of them, All Might appeared once again and took out the Sludge Villain.

After that Izuku was lectured by the heroes about how dangerous that was and telling him he should've left it for the professionals to deal with while Bakugo got praised for his quirk.

It pissed him off so much.

Mikoto: (Sometimes I even wonder if these heroes are actually doing their job. If a quirkless kid could do it, why couldn't they...? They just sat there and watch then they lectured him while Bakugo got praised for having a flashy quirk...? What's wrong with this society...?)

When will they learn that it's not always about flashy quirks. You have to have the strength, mind, and heart to become a hero.

But that doesn't matter anymore. It's all in the past...

He felt happy when learned Izuku got a quirk...

He must've been a late bloomer which is pretty rare.

But what makes him also wonder why Izuku won't tell him what it is...

Deku: I can't believe we're actually here...U.A...

Mikoto: Yep..Where we can make our dreams come true~!

Deku: Y-Yeah...

Mikoto: Something wrong?

Deku: W-Well...

???: Out of my way Deku!

Deku is cut off as someone pushes their way through the two of them. After recovering, he immediately recognizes the person as Bakugo as he glares at the two of them.

Bakugo: Don’t get in my way, nerd.

Deku: O-Of course Kacchan!

Mikoto: Geez...what crawled out of your ass this time?

Bakugo: Shut up Snowball!

This irks Mikoto and he shouted:

"Don't call me snowball!!!"

The blonde hair boy growls, and stalks away.

Izuku nervously watches him as he walks away.

Deku: I thought he might have been getting better, when he didn’t talk to us at all in the ten months leading up to the exam.

Mikoto: He’s still an asshole. I guess he can't get over what happened months ago...

Deku: ..Come on, let’s just go.

Izuku started to take the first step forward....

Until he tripped...

Deku: (Or I guess I'll just die...)

Mikoto: Izuku!

What happened next was a surprise...

Instead of falling on his face, he was floating in the air.

He didn’t expect to be floating,  but he was. It took every inch of his restraint not to freak as he heard another voice.

???: Oh god- I’m so sorry! I hope I didn’t scare you too bad.

A bubbly voice from his left, and he and Mikoto (who was recovering from shock) turned to face whoever had just saved him from tasting the dirt.

She was barely shorter than him and much more sturdily built, he guessed- but he couldn’t quite tell due to the fact that he was still floating sideways, several inches off the ground. Her brown hair was cropped to her chin, and was currently bobbing delicately around her head.

There was another girl next to her who had long hime-cut red hair tied to a ponytail who had a look of concern of her face.

Girl: Uraraka-chan...I think you should let him go now...He looks like he's about to freak out.

Uraraka: Oh right...Here, I’ll let you down now...

Her hands went to his body to the ground, and she pressed her fingers together with a murmur of ‘release’.

The floating sensation left, and Izuku turned all the way around to face her.

Mikoto: (What an amazing quirk- it’s probably gravity manipulation. I wonder if it’s touch-based? )

He snapped himself back to reality at the sight of the friendly smile she gave, as Izuku started babbling and face turned massive red...

Oh that's right...This is Izuku's first time talking to a girl...

Deku: Th-thank you! I mean, uh- for keeping me from falling, that is. With your quirk.”

Her face brightened, and Izuku swears he can hear her exhale in relief.

Uraraka: It’s no problem, really. It’d be bad luck to trip and fall before we’re even inside, right?

Deku: R-right! Exactly!

Mikoto: Thanks for helping my friend from falling.

Uraraka: No problem.

The other girl spoke to get their attention.

Girl: Hey...You two have a striking resemblance to each other... Are you really friends or brothers?

Both Mikoto and Izuku freezed at that before the snow quirk user likely chuckled.

Mikoto: Oh not really...We're just friends...But we do act like brothers.

Deku: Y-Yeah!

Girl: Hmm...

Mikoto glance down at his watch, he realized that they barely had ten minutes before the exams started.

Mikoto: Oh shoot! We better hurry! The test will start soon.

Uraraka's bright smile didn’t waver, and she pumped a fist in the air while her friend made a small laugh at her enthusiasm.

Uraraka: Sure! Good luck to both of you with your exam!

Deku: You too!

Uraraka: BTW. I'm Uraraka Ochako.

Sylvia: And I'm Sylvia Akuma. Nice to meet you both!

Mikoto: Yeah! See you guys soon!

The two girls took off fast as soon as the boys realized something.

Deku: Oh no! We forgot to give them our names.

Mikoto: Oh frozen popsicles! You're right...Well next time we'll see them, we'll give them our names. Who knows...We all might be classmates.

Deku: I-I hope so...I wouldn't like it if we were different class Miichan.

Mikoto: Same...So...You ready...?

Deku:...Yeah. I'm ready.

The two boys walked into the school to get ready for the first part of the test: The Written Exam.
